It’s firstly a very loud restaurant, the atmosphere is loud because the ceilings are very high. We dined for a special occasion. The service was casual and friendly but not highly personable. The steak for two Chateaubriand was $180 and delicious. We would return but not as good as the Air Street location in London.

Finally made it to Hawksmoor after having it on my list for a long time, and it absolutely lived up to the hype.<br><br>The highlight of the meal was the rib-eye, which was outstanding. As someone who loves cooking with charcoal, I really appreciated the flavor and crust that their cooking method brings to the meat. It added a depth and character that you don’t find at many steakhouses.<br><br>We also had the porterhouse, which was excellent and came with bone marrow, a great touch that added even more flavor to an already impressive steak.<br><br>The service was attentive throughout the evening without ever feeling intrusive. The staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and helped make the experience feel special.<br><br>The venue itself is beautiful, with a warm atmosphere that strikes a nice balance between upscale and comfortable. They also have an excellent wine selection with plenty of options to pair with the food.<br><br>Overall, a fantastic dining experience and a steakhouse I would gladly return to. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates great beef, charcoal cooking, and professional hospitality.

Everything was absolutely amazing!<br><br>The service was impeccable. Our server, Thomas, was incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and helpful. He took the time to explain the menu, the different cuts of meat on offer,and provide suggestions for us to consider.<br>Also, at one point, my fiance stained his white shirt and a female server appeared out of nowhere to offer him club soda. Every member of the staff was so helpful and friendly.<br><br>The food is some of the best we've ever had.<br>We started with the fried shrimp appetizer, which was cooked perfectly, so airy, and not greasy at all. Our entrees consisted of the surf and turf for me, and the veal chop with fried oysters for my fiance. My filet mignon, cooked medium rare, and lobster were cooked so perfectly I could have cut them with a spoon. The veal chop was incredibly thick but so tender, the fried oysters were succulent but not greasy, and the sauces complimented each other perfectly.<br>Our sides were the creamed spinach and mashed potatoes. This was hands down the best creamed spinach I've ever had, and the potatoes were hearty and thick without being pasty.<br>For dessert, I had the sticky toffee pudding, and my fiance had the blueberry basil cheesecake. If I could have taken a bath in my dessert I would have, and my fiance devoured his cheesecake like it was his last meal.<br><br>Overall, we ate like we have never eaten in polite society before, and we absolutely cannot wait to go back!

We celebrated our anniversary at Hawksmoor NYC, and it was flawless.<br>The scallops were perfectly seared and sweet, and the steak was incredible—juicy, melt-in-your-mouth tender, with a spectacular crust.<br><br>What made the night truly special was our waitress, Taylor. She was attentive, warm, and went above and beyond to make our celebration feel important. Outstanding food, gorgeous atmosphere, and top-tier service. We’ll absolutely be back!

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful dinner at Hawksmoor last week, and I can’t stop thinking about it! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was spot on–the kind of place that feels special without being stuffy.<br><br>Our server Adam was absolutely fantastic! Genuinely warm, friendly, and impressively knowledgeable about the menu! My boyfriend has a nut allergy, and Adam went above and beyond to make sure he was taken care of. That kind of attentiveness really makes a difference and doesn’t go unnoticed!<br><br>And the food? Incredible, of course. From the appetizers to desserts, there was not a single miss. Everything was delicious! But do yourself a favor and save room for dessert no matter how full you are because the Banoffee pudding, pear tart, and chocolate rum cake are all must-tries and honestly worth the visit alone. We will absolutely be back!<br><br>P.S. My boyfriend also left a review on OpenTable–please excuse him for referring to Adam as Alex. He’s not great with names! 😅

I’ve been to many steakhouses in NYC but Hawksmoor definitely takes the case for one my favorite if not best experiences. The food was absolutely amazing, there was nothing I could ever second guess in terms of taste, absolutely stupendous dining experience. Eddie was responsible for my table and he certainly made it an experience to remember, checked on us periodically and made sure everything was to our liking and provided exceptional service. The food? From the salad, to the steak to the abundance of sides, everything was exceptional. I will definitely be back. Thank you to the staff, keep up the phenomenal job.

Another NYC restaurant with a very nice interior, which is always a great advantage of a delicious meal. The food was excellent, especially the brilliantly prepared Porterhouse, which was perfectly medium rare on both sides. We'll remember its taste for a long time. The only thing we didn't like was the rather casual atmosphere. The service was pleasant, but at these prices, the standard should have been much higher.

We stopped in for a late lunch on a Wednesday, and the restaurant was practically empty. They do close from 3–5 PM to prepare for dinner service.<br>Despite the quiet afternoon, we had a great meal. Our server, Ornela, was wonderful—efficient, friendly, and truly went above and beyond. She was warm and funny, which made the experience even more enjoyable.<br>We ordered the two-course prix fixe lunch. One of us chose the Hawksmoor Caesar salad and the notorious BEEF burger. Unfortunately, the Caesar salad was a bit underwhelming, and while the burger itself was well made and cooked properly, it was noticeably over-seasoned.<br>Another order included the potted beef & bacon Yorkshires with onion gravy, followed by steak frites. The Yorkshires were delicious, and the steak was cooked to a perfect medium-rare. The fries were excellent as well.<br>I ordered the ash-baked beets along with steak frites. The beets were very tasty, and the combination with the fennel and horseradish worked well, though it somehow didn’t quite feel like a home run. My steak, however, was cooked to a perfect rare, seasoned beautifully, and again the fries were great.<br>We were also pleasantly surprised when they brought out a complimentary meringue and watermelon granita for dessert, which was light and refreshing.<br>Overall, while a few dishes had their ups and downs, the steaks were cooked and seasoned perfectly, great company, and Ornela’s wonderful personality truly elevated the entire experience. I can’t wait to go back!

I decided to book a reservation here for my girlfriend and I to enjoy a nice meal on Valentine's Day and was blown away.<br><br>To start with, their service was incredibly warm and welcoming. We had the pleasure of being served by both Tiffany and Julian who were both incredibly attentive and helpful. Tiff gave me an excellent recommendation on their non-alcoholic beverages which paired great with our food and Julian made sure to pass along my allergy info to her when they handed off, which was a much appreciated attention to detail.<br><br>The food was also phenomenal. Everything we had was cooked exactly as we requested (perfect medium-rare on the steak), nicely seasoned, and that burger was one of the best I've ever tasted. The fries were also ridiculous, and if I could have stuffed a few handfuls in my pockets for later, I would have.<br><br>We also loved how beautiful their dining area was, and the atmosphere was very upscale without feeling pretentious. Hawksmoor is definitely one of the nicest restaurants we've ever dined at and was a very comfortable dining experience overall.<br><br>If there was any regrets we had, it was that we didn't get to have dessert, but I'm positive we'll be back!

The overall experience with the staff and service was great. We were early and sat by the bar to await our table. The drinks were amazing and the bartenders were super attentive.<br><br>The main pain point was from the food for starters we ordered the scallops and potted beef. Might have been the highlight of the meal as the scallops were cooked perfectly with some breadcrumbs topping to add some texture. The potted beef was rich and savory in the best way with the gravy adding a huge umami flavor.<br><br>For our mains we got the porterhouse for two, a side of the fries and the Mac and cheese. The porterhouse left a lot to be desired, it was cooked perfectly to medium rare, but seemed tougher than most cuts we have had in the past. My wife mentioned a few times have thick and tough the meat was. The beef tallows fries could have passed as frozen fries just reheated and the Mac and cheese despite having a major cheese pull had an odd earthy flavor. It was too over powering.<br><br>The final straw was it was my wife’s birthday and I thought we’d receive a complimentary desert but the server took so long to get anything out to us and I ended up just resisting the check 2x.

We came for a business lunch and were not disappointed. Still my fave steakhouse in NYC. The $45 2-course menus offered good value and was very satisfying. The steaks were well seasoned and tasty although mine ended up more medium even though I asked for medium-rare. I started with the salmon appetizer with a Boston lettuce side salad which were great companions to the rump steak. Don’t forget the fries and scallop options from the regular menu. Also, always a good option to eat at the e bar area for something more fun and lively especially during off hours.

Hawksmoor NYC is the best steakhouse experience I’ve had in the city. From the moment I walked in, the energy was exactly what a great night out should be… elegant without being stuffy, electric without trying too hard. The service was next level: attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely glad to be there. Malik and Evan (AKA 👉🏼 Malik 2.0 🤣) were amazing. Malik was our initial server and had to dump us off to Evan like a bad habit due to shift change. We were joking and giving them both 💩 about it and they were a riot. The guys made the evening amazing. Tons of fun…BUT, They know their food and they know how to take care of guests.<br><br>Now the steak. Perfectly charred on the outside, juicy and tender inside, cooked spot-on every time. The quality of the beef is clear in every bite. The sides are just as impressive, lemon garlic spinach, perfectly seasoned mashed, and the long bone steak is a must-order. The cocktails are thoughtful and strong, the wine list is excellent, and everything comes at a level of precision that shows real care in execution.<br><br>If you want a steakhouse that nails the classics, brings personality to the table, and leaves you already planning your next visit, Hawksmoor NYC is it.

I love, love, LOVEE my experience at Hawksmoor!!! My husband and I went there for our last night out before baby was born, and the food and service did not disappoint- oysters and steelhead tartare were super fresh, steaks were perfectly cooked & the desserts were banging! We had the sticky toffee pudding (a must!) and the pavlova… the photos truly don’t do them justice lol.<br><br>The interior was also very grand and gorgeous.!<br>I honestly cannot wait to go back- it was such a great time and everyone there was super helpful, kind and professional (special shoutout to Guadalupe!!) I believe they ranked top 10 for best steak restaurants in North America & it’s well deserved. See you soon, Hawksmoor!✨

The ribeye steak was very disappointing and on par with a casual food chain. Think of Apple and the flying insect bee. At this price point, I expected a significantly better quality, especially given my experiences at comparable steakhouses.<br><br>The mac and cheese was the only standout dish of the night. Unfortunately, the Brussels sprouts were unevenly cooked, with some pieces underdone and others overcooked.<br><br>The restaurant does excel in ambiance — the decor and seating are well done, comfortable, and inviting. However, strong atmosphere alone doesn’t justify the overall experience.<br><br>Given the food quality relative to the pricing, I don’t see value in returning.

Came here for a Friday lunch and the space is gorgeous! Our waitress was lovely and super kind. The steak was cooked perfectly, scallops were amazing and the sour cherry Negroni was delicious. The brussel sprouts were only okay, sourdough was overbaked for my taste and served cold, and the bone marrow was served late (typically not an issue but for the price point, we expect better). Great time overall!
