Just book your reservation!! My partner and I came here for our late night date night and it turned out to be even better than we thought! The service was fantastic! Everyone is so tentative and welcoming. We got the onion soup OMG. The filet with peppercorn sauce 10/10. Our martinis were Devine! We live 6 hours away and are already planning on coming back! The vibes were great. If you like mood lighting and red velvet this is for you 🤗❤️

Response from the owner

Thank you so much, Jessica! We are so glad your date night exceeded expectations and that the onion soup, filet, and martinis hit the spot. Our team truly loves making every guest feel at home, and knowing you are already planning a return trip from six hours away means everything to us. We cannot wait to welcome you both back!

This classic FiDi institution has such a warm, historic tavern atmosphere with dark wood, brass details, and a lively but comfortable energy. The dry-aged ribeye was perfectly cooked and flavorful, and the oysters were fresh and briny. Service was attentive and professional. The total was around $ 65- $ 85 per person with drinks. A true Wall Street classic; highly recommend!

Response from the owner

Thank you so much, Richard! We truly appreciate you taking the time to share such kind words, and we are so glad the full experience left a lasting impression. We hope to welcome you back again soon!

We absolutely love dining at Harry’s. The food is incredible and we’re always greeted like family. Oma, Mario and Anna provide unmatched service. They are simply the best! We Always look forward to our next visit ! Oma is the best server I’ve ever had at any restaurant. It’s a pleasure to sit with him. Every dish, including dessert, is not just good. Its exceptional! Great, cozy vibe as well and The beef Wellington is the best you’ll ever have. Highly recommended!

We were a couple from Europe looking for a classic US steak house experience and this was exactly what we got here.

The vibe in this establishment was incredible.

We had the best ever rib eye steak and then the beef wellington (the meat was exquisite, but not sure why they use mushroom powder instead of real food). The broccolini was slightly under grilled for my taste.

For the dessert we went for the creme brulee that was beyond yummi with perfect taste and top crust.

Value for money : We ended up paying 350 dollars for food and wine and then the 20% tip on top. While the food was great the cost of the experience was simply too much for my preference.

Response from the owner

Thank you, Simon. We are so pleased Harry's delivered the classic steakhouse experience you were looking for, and we are thrilled the rib eye and crème brûlée were highlights of your evening. We appreciate your honest feedback on the other details and will take it to heart. We hope your travels bring you back to Hanover Square someday.

Very disappointing experience. I ordered the Beef Wellington as my entrée, and my partner ordered the NY strip steak with several sides. When the food arrived, the pastry on my Beef Wellington was clearly undercooked- wet, soggy, and not properly baked. I asked the waiter to check it, and they took it back to the chef and apologized. Meanwhile, all the food on the table was getting cold, and my partner was waiting as well.

When they brought it back, it was basically the same Beef Wellington with the same wet, soggy pastry. The waiter asked how it was, and I said it was fine only because I didn’t want my partner to wait any longer. But honestly, for a $76 entrée, the kitchen should know how to cook it properly- or simply not put it on the menu.

The appetizers, including the crab cake and salad, were good, but the dessert was just ok. The chocolate cake tasted dry, almost like it had been sitting in the refrigerator for days.

What made the experience even more frustrating was that when the bill arrived, the waiter asked us to check it to make sure everything was included- and everything was. Nothing was taken off, not even a dessert or small gesture for the long wait and poorly prepared entrée.

The total for two people, with tip, was around $480. For that price, I expect much better food, better service recovery, and a kitchen that knows how to execute its signature dishes properly.

What a great Saturday brunch spot! Lots of brunch choices with complimentary sparkling wine. Tried the French toast (omg-so delicious!) and side of hash browns. Added blood orange juice to compliment the sparkling wine. Friendly, attentive service....highly recommend!

Response from the owner

Thank you, J P! We're thrilled you loved Saturday brunch - the French toast is definitely a showstopper! We appreciate your wonderful review!

I had a wonderful time having dinner at this amazing place called Harry's in New York City! Wow, this place can accommodate any party size. The staff was amazing and very friendly. The service was impeccable! The food was succulent. My New York Strip was delicious, juicy, and cooked to perfection, as I ordered it. It was seasoned well and I enjoyed it all! The drinks were tasty (wine & margaritas). The appetizers were delicious (we had all of the choices). The sides were delicious (mac & cheese, asparagus, crab cake, oysters, shrimp, etc) and the apple dessert with vanilla ice cream was delicious! We had a private room in the back with a great bartender. He was amazing and friendly. I am still talking about the experience at Harry's now that I'm back in South Carolina! Thank you all for helping us with having a wonderful dinner and time together!! ❤️

Response from the owner

Thank you for the kind review, Timothy. We’re so pleased to hear your evening with us was such a memorable one, especially in the private room with your group.

It’s wonderful to know the New York Strip, drinks, and overall hospitality stood out. Join me on all socials @theblackgirlatleisure for more reviews and things to do in NYC!

I visited Harry’s for a pre-valentine’s day dinner with my husband. Harry’s was located so conveniently near the hotel we were staying at (the Hyatt Centric Wall Street) for a NYC staycation to recharge and reconnect. This place was such a great choice, and after spending part of Valentine’s Day weekend at Harry’s I couldn’t imagine having spent it anywhere else. This is the perfect place to get lost in your date’s eyes, chat the night the away and fall in love all over again.

🍷 Wines: 10/10
Pinot Grigio - (Corte Della Torre, Veneto, 2024) It was so tasty, refreshing and went so well with the shrimp cocktail. I would order it again.
Pinot Noir - (Brute Stock, Sonoma Coast, 2023) Delicious and great alongside the lamb chops, I had to order this one after tasting my husband’s.

🛎️ Service: 10/10
Our server was outstanding, warm, welcoming, knowledgable and funny too! He made amazing wine recommendations and made sure we had everything that we needed. I appreciated the way he checked in on our table just enough and left us with enough space to check in with one another. Our server even gave us a complimentary dessert (cheesecake) which was such a kind touch!

🥘 Food: 10/10
* French fries - Perfect! Crispy, hot, fresh and just the right amount of salt.
* Steak Tartar - Seasoned well, tasted fresh, I could see the allure but it wasn’t really for me!
* Shrimp Cocktail - Fresh, jumbo shrimp, loved the cocktail sauce. I’m usually pretty big on horse radish so I loved it.
* Lamb Chops - Great portion size. I had mine served medium well, it was still tender. The mint sauce was literally the icing on the cake. So good!
* Broccolini - Just the way I like, a nice bite, not too oily and temperature-wise it came out hot!
* Beef Wellington - I don’t know what I expected but I enjoyed this A LOT lol. It came with two nicely sized pieces, the crust was light and flaky, the meat was juicy and I feel like the gravy was the star. So good and comforting.
* Truffle Mac and Cheese - One of the best truffle Mac and cheese(s?) I’ve ever had. I usually stay away from foods that have truffle in them because the flavor can be overwhelming but this was done so well. I liked it a lot.
* Cheesecake - The PERFECT NY style cheesecake. A good amount of sweetness, creamy yet firm, just an overall great dessert.
* Creme Brûlée - A nice thin layer of caramelized sugar on top, I can’t stand when the sugar top is too thick OR is soft so you don’t get that fun crack when you tap it. This Creme Brûlée was just like I liked it and the cream part of the dessert was a nice soft texture with a nice moderate sweetness. Loved it.

🕯️ Ambiance: 10/10
The ambiance was beautiful and vintage with a hint of today. I loved the moodiness of the restaurant. The decor looks like it’s been there for a while but somehow maintained so well. I felt like I was being transported to another time, in Paris!

💰 Price - $520 total

❤️ Overall: 10/10
There’s nothing like stepping out for a great experience that feels worth every penny. I would definitely return to Harry’s and recommend this place to my friends and family, especially for special occasions. As a lover of fine-dining I have to say this has been one of my most memorable experiences to date.

The Beef Wellington is outstanding. We also loved the tempura onion rings, beef tartare, and fish. Cocktails are generous. Harry’s is a long-standing Financial District institution that has weathered every market downturn with aplomb.

Thank you for such a thoughtful review, Tannaz! We’re glad you enjoyed the Beef Wellington, cocktails, and other dishes, and we truly appreciate the kind words about Harry’s place in the neighborhood. We look forward to welcoming you back to Harry’s NYC again soon!

Atmosphere is nice. However the food was just ok. We had the beef wellington and also the squid ink linguine. The linguine was tasteless, beef Wellington is not that impressive either. The only good one is Harry’s salad

Response from the owner

Thank you for your feedback, Yiwen. We’re glad you enjoyed the atmosphere and the Harry's salad, though we’re sorry the other dishes didn’t quite hit the mark. We appreciate you sharing your experience and hope to welcome you back again soon.

Im suggesting that you run here upon reading this review. Im talking old school feels, premier VIP treatment and food to die for. I have had Beef Wellington in many places and thought this might just be another wrapped steak......Man was I pleased and grateful for the flavor, tenderness and quality of the prepared provisions. Perfect to the extent that you could squish it in half with your 👅 against the roof of your mouth. Truffle Mac, Ribeye, Salmon, o
EAST/WEST Oysters, Signature 🥗 & creative libations were all top notch. Thank you for the experience and I will be back regularly.

Response from the owner

Great restaurant to enjoy Beef Wellington when you are in the mood. Their Wellington does not use any prosciutto or any other type of pork meat. Safe for those who have dietary restrictions.

With the above being said, rib eye and porterhouse will always be much more flavorful if you are looking for stronger taste from your steaks.

Response from the owner

Thank you for your review, Chris! We’re glad you enjoyed the Beef Wellington at Harry’s West Palm Beach and appreciate you highlighting the dietary details. We look forward to welcoming you back again soon!
Harry’s has that old-school New York charm wrapped in a modern, moody glow dark wood tables, soft golden table lamps, and ceiling lights that make the whole place feel cinematic. It’s the kind of spot that works perfectly for both a date night and a classy business dinner.

I ordered the Beef Wellington, and honestly, it was beautifully balanced. The puff pastry was perfectly crisp without being dry, the beef stayed tender and juicy at a perfect medium-rare, and the subtle truffle aroma in the sauce tied everything together. Served on a silver platter, it looked as good as it tasted.

If you’re a steakhouse lover, their prime ribeye or NY strip is also worth trying the char and crust are spot on, and you can really tell they know their meat.

Finished off with the bread pudding topped with vanilla ice cream 🍨 warm, creamy, not overly sweet, and the perfect cozy ending to the meal.

✨ In short: elegant, nostalgic, and delicious!! a place that truly captures the spirit of classic New York dining done right.

They have the widest selection of Scotches I’ve seen in a while! Make sure to order something you don’t usually see in a bar restaurant. The food and service is fantastic. The ambiance is top notch. Just try it for yourself. This place is in the financial district.
