Harlem Shake

We ordered 4 differnt burgers. The harlem classic burger, Impossible Hot Mess, Harlem Jerk and another one I forget.all were fantastic, the fries too and the slaw. We also had the shakes, which were good too.<br><br>The burgers were ready to be picked up and I was looking at it for a good 3-5 minutes before I had to ask for it which they were then given.<br><br>Perhaps a bit more attention to folks waiting for thier food. I mean after all a hot burger is what we all want.

I arrived right at opening time11 am last Sunday. The welcome was top-notch, and the team was incredibly friendly. The food was good, and I absolutely loved the strawberry milkshake 🍓. Honestly, I recommend it 100%! Thanks !

We ordered the Harlem Classic Burger, Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich, Truffle Parmesan Fries, Creamy Slaw, and a Cookies & Cream Shake. Everything was a great portion size , satisfying without being overly heavy.<br><br>The creamy slaw was especially good, with purple onion and celery adding a really nice crunch and flavor balance. I usually don’t drink shakes because they’re often too sweet for me, but the Cookies & Cream shake here was so delicious I finished the whole thing. Definitely worth trying!

Super hot out, and I came here for a milkshake — and was not disappointed. They have all kinds of food with plenty of different options, but I was only here for the milkshake. I went with a strawberry, and they are truly made different here. Absolutely fresh and full of real strawberry taste because they use real strawberries. They have so many other flavors and options, but I played it safe this time. As I sat inside — really nice place by the way — sipping my shake, I noticed they even had water with limes and ice available for free at all times. The staff is super courteous too. My work brings me to this part of town again and again, so I already know where I'll be stopping. Really saved me on a super hot day, and I will definitely be back.

Food was good. I wish it was hot, especially my fries. Service was good, only problem was when they were calling the names. You really had to pay attention cause there was one guy calling the names who did NOT speak up. The other woman had to finally came up yelling the names over the music.<br><br>The atmosphere was great. I loved the vintage feel and all the photos on the wall of icons who've ate there.<br><br>It's definitely an experience that is worth a visit to the Harlem Shake.

Food was ok. Fairly priced. The place could use a little cleaning unless that’s part of the charm. I had the kids burger meal with a mini shake. For me it was just the right portion.

Food was good I got the Harlem Classic truffle fries and Red velvet strawberry milkshake. My only complaint was the straws for the milkshake were terrible. It was too much work trying to drink it.

Harlem Shake was absolutely delicious! I went there on a Saturday night and was pumped that it wasn’t too over crowded and that I didn’t have to wait forever to get my food. We ordered at the counter and then grabbed a booth inside - and got to see a lot of great signed photos of celebrities and entertainers who had visited this location along the walls. The decor was straight out of a 1950s burger shop and the food was so good. I got the regular burger and fries and The Harlem Shake - a red velvet milkshake that was incredible. My friend got the yam fries that were even better than the regular fries! Highly recommending going to this place when you’re in the area! If I lived nearby I’d be getting takeout or delivery from here all the time!

I visited Harlem Shake in late September and early October 2025. I’ve always walked by this restaurant while in the area and always wanted to try it. I finally decided to give it a try. When we entered the restaurant, we were greeted by staff. From the moment we walked into the establishment I loved the atmosphere. We waited about 5 -7 mins in line before finally getting to the register. Once we placed our order the representative at the register flipped the screen to ensure our order was accurate. I think all restaurants should do this to ensure the accuracy of customer’s orders and also to ensure food is not going to waste. We decided to dine outside at first, I was concerned I wouldn’t be able to hear my name. But they were loud enough for me to hear outside. I also received a text message when my order was ready. During my first visit I ordered a cheeseburger and the C-dog which is a grilled hotdog with sauerkraut and mustard. I requested it well done like the burger. The burger was absolutely delicious and grilled to perfection just the way I love it. My hot dog was also grilled to perfection my only complaint was they put too much mustard on the hotdog which made it drown out the other flavor and also really mess. They also stacked a whole bunch of sauerkraut on the hotdog that I had to take some of it off. I decided to try a milkshake since people raved about it. I had the Black & White and my aunt had the cookies and cream. Let me tell you they both weren’t good save your money. I ended up washing down my food with the water I was carrying around. My aunt also had a Froze I wasn’t a fan of it as I’m not a drinker and it solely tasted like straight alcohol. When I visited again in October, I ordered the Classic Fried Chicken Sandwich and it had absolutely no flavor. I only tasted black pepper. It was too bland for such a chucky piece of chicken. I was very disappointed. I don't think I'd order this again. I ordered another hot dog but forgot to say I wanted it well done. It was okay this time they put the right amount of ketchup but again way to much sauerkraut. I decided to try their Shirley Temple Soda. I’m warning you now do not order this. If you’re like me expecting the Shirley Temple you order at a bar/restaurant this isn’t it. I don’t know what this taste like. The store accepts both cash and card. It’s also accessible via public transportation. I say give it a try.

I liked my experience overall at this restaurant. The service was nice. The wait for food was a little long but I didn't mind, it was pretty busy in there. I loved the retro vibe of the place, super cool! The bathroom had a cool design as well, but it was a long wait as there was only one. I tried the mama's fried chicken sandwich, curly fries, and vanilla milkshake. All very delicious! Unfortunately I couldn't try the red velvet milkshake since they ran out of ingredients. They had a live band playing outside too, that was fun! It was a little more on the expensive side, but not overly so. I would definitely come back to try other things from the menu.

Harlem Shake totally lived up to the hype! The jerk burger was bursting with flavor, the milkshake was rich and wonderfully thick (just the way it should be), and the curly fries were crispy, golden perfection. Add in the cool retro vibe and friendly service, and it’s the kind of spot you instantly want to come back to. Comfort food heaven in the heart of Harlem!

It was my first time eating here. Has a nice vibe with good music. Great customer service 👍🏼 food was good. Shake was good. Place has a retro feel to it. Ordered the Harlem Classic, Snoopdog hotdogs and Jerk fries.

Got a classic burger and fries here and they were fantastic. The burger was a smaller portion but honestly the perfect size and tasted fantastic. I also got a red velvet shake and it was okay, but not worth the price to me. Service wise, the employees were nice but it took a long time for my food and then my shake to come out.

This place felt like a hidden gem. I was surprised to say the least. My kids enjoyed it they say it’s one of the top smash burgers in the city. And I don’t think I disagree. It was well put together didn’t get to greasy bun was perfect. I truly enjoyed it my kid had the shake also and he loved it I’ll definitely be back here again
