Yeah so, it’s fiyah! Got the jerk chicken over rice with the spicy white sauce, green sauce, and orange sauce, corn, jalapeños, pico de gallo, and onions all at the suggestion of the guy behind the counter. He was a cutie patootie too ☺️. Good service, he was really nice and smiley. It was very clean in there as well. Go get y’all some!

Response from the owner

Kenyada, we’re glad the flavors and friendly service made your visit special. Thanks for giving us the chance to serve you!

Best, Halal Bros Grill Queens Village

I oder last night salmon fish and rice food is kind of expensive and quantity is very less at least you have to improve your food serving platter. This is not enough for one person. The food is very very less which is not nice. we spent so much money and we getting very less food why? food is expensive Service is very slow. I was on my break. waiting for my food and I finish my break in Store because I was waiting for my order they took very very long to prepare the order

Response from the owner

Farah, we’re sorry you left feeling disappointed with both the wait and the portion size. Your feedback is being taken seriously as we look for ways to improve.

Thank you for sharing, Halal Bros Grill Queens Village

I walked in for some lunch. First time trying out the place and food here. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was good, well portioned, would have preferred a bit more meat but still enjoyed my meal. Shout out to Angie and the morning team for great service!!!

Response from the owner

This place is great, been coming here for a few years, but they recently decided to use new bowls that cut the portions size, yet the cost is still the same. The new bowls they use seem to be 60% or less of the portion size before. I used to be nice and full after a bowl but now I’m left still hungry after finishing a bowl. Food is still good but even with a double meat serving, the serving size difference without reducing the price is very apparent 😓

Response from the owner

Salman, we’re grateful you’ve been with us over the years and are glad you still enjoy the food. We hear your concerns about the new serving size and will keep your feedback in mind as we keep improving.

Warm regards, Halal Bros Grill Queens Village

This is a carry out spot. My daughter and I were in the area for the day from Boston. I needed a halal option and decided to give them a shot. No regrets. The young man and woman working were kind, professional and patient. I chose a bowl to break my fast. They asked if I wanted sauce and I said no (they seemed surprised 😆). That food did not need sauce, It was SO good, i’m very picky, so I like that I could choose my own options and customize. I got the lemon chicken breast with beets, corn, and cucumber over rice. The portion was very generous. I ate it for two days. Absolutely delicious!! if I lived in the area, I would be a regular. If I’m ever back in Queens, I will be stopping by. Highly recommend for an option on the go.

I went here to try the jerk chicken over rice and I wasn’t blown away. With that being said it is good not great. Definitely doesn’t live up to the hype. You look like you’re getting a whole bunch of chicken, but really it’s just a bunch of small tiny pieces balled up to look like it’s a lot of chicken. The flavor just want there. The jerk sauce really carried it. I would say if you’re in the area stop by as it’s worth a try, but I wouldn’t go out of my way..

Response from the owner

I was excited to get my food after ordering from UberEats. Recieved it with a small layer of meat, large amount of rice. I ordered a mixed over rice and had about 4 pieces of chicken and about 15 pieces of lamb. Are you kidding me? There are carts that serve with more meat than this. Not worth it for the price. Only thing tasty was the spicy white sauce. Never purchasing from here again - rather go on hillside ave and little neck and get more food.

Response from the owner

Thanks for your honest feedback—it’s clear we missed the mark on both value and satisfaction. We’re taking this to heart and will be looking at how we can do better.

Sincerely, Halal Bros Grill Queens Village

I ordered loaded jerk fries, and this is what they gave me. I asked for hot sauce and white sauce, and I got cheese sauce? No jalapenos, No, nothing on top of it. There’s barely any food in this container lmaoo. A waste of money. I remember when they used to actually give generous portions and now they’re extremely tight, not worth it won’t be ordering from here again.

I was really disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. For the price they charge, I expected a decent portion, but what I got was laughably small. The dish looked like an appetizer, not a full meal, and I left still feeling hungry.

To make matters worse, the food itself wasn’t even that impressive—just average at best. If they’re going to serve such tiny portions, at least make the food exceptional! Definitely not worth the money. I won’t be coming back

Wrost restaurants ever i was charged 14$ for this no drink including. It’s a scam people stay away

Ordered take out. I got chicken over rice. My fiancé got jerk chicken over rice. Absolutely delicious. We're new to the area and this will be our go to halal spot. Can't wait to try more of their items. I think my only gripe is they charge $.50 for a side of sauce and the side of sauce is really small. But otherwise it's excellent.

Food here is delicious and fresh. I got the lamb and my friend got the chicken over rice. Flavors are on point. Prices are reasonable and there’s parking in the back as well. They pack a lot of food in for you. Felt like a pound with 2 carry out boxes. Food is not Adele’s but does come close

The jerk chicken is top notch, one of the best I’ve ever had. The rice isn’t the best, but gets the job done. I mixed all of the sauces with my salad, and absolutely loved the flavor. Tastes best when the chicken, rice, salad and sauces are all mixed together. Mac&chesse is very good too. Will be ordering again. Overall 4.6/5

The Best Chicken / Rice Platter Ever 🔥 💯

📍 Halal Bros Grill Queens Village
218-74 Hempstead Ave, Queens, NY 11429

Not gonna lie reading some of the other reviews. I thought this placed was overhyped. So, I definitely I had to check them out. Boy was I wrong. I ordered their Jerk chicken over rice combo. It comes with pita and can of soda. Also, I added avocado, and 2 falafels on top🥑 🧆 🔥 🍗

Review:
⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
(5 out of 5 Stars)

Clean Restaurant and friendly staff. It’s Hot and Fresh. They give you a lot of food in one plate and it was definitely filling. The jerk chicken was delicious and for the pita, it’s one whole pita bread cut into four slices. The falafel were okay. I think this is the best chicken and rice platter, I have ever had. I would definitely recommend you guys check them out. I gotta try their other foods too. Don’t forget to add the sauces, I got the last 3 sauces (Jalapeño cream, Jerk sauce, Dragon sauce) and the classic, white sauce. Lastly, remember to always say Bismillah and Alhamdulilah for everything ❤️
