This mall has always been reflective of the low-income neighborhood in which it is located. Every time I go there, several of the establishments have shut down while the remaining stores and vendors are not in the class that befits a shopping mall, including the food court. I would not be surprised if they file for bankruptcy soon.

Green Acres Mall is a decent mall for everyday shopping and quick trips. It has a good variety of stores with a mix of clothing, sneakers, beauty, electronics, and department stores, so you can usually find what you need without having to travel too far. Stores like Macy’s, Foot Locker, Victoria’s Secret, and other popular brands make it convenient for regular shopping.

The mall is smaller and less upscale compared to some other malls in the area, but it still gets the job done. The food court has a few good options, and parking is usually manageable depending on the time and day. Some areas could definitely use updates, and it can get crowded during weekends, but overall it’s a solid local mall for shopping, grabbing food, and running errands
I’ve lived in Valley Stream since 1991 and have been patronizing the mall ever since. I love the growth and transparency of the mall. You can get everything you need here. Now with the even larger renovations taking place; Green Acres mall will become an even more exciting place. It will carry some of our favorite mid to high end stores and restaurants like Cheesecake Factory reflecting the dynamic and rich community sitting on the border of long island and queens.
Great place for hand washing. Cost is good and the memberships are worth it if you want to keep your car clean all the time. Average time waiting is during peak time is around 15 min to get in, then another 15-20 min depending the time of day.
(KID CITY CLOSING BECAUSE THEY LOST THERE LEASE). The only reason I ever came to Green Acres Mall was the shop at Kid City. The store is well maintained with friendly staff, this is the best deal in the entire mall. Where else can I go and get this kind of deals in my area? I drown from East Massapequa to shop here and now the store is closing because the Mall management was to replace it with a high end store that will put Black and Hispanics out of work smh. This is a crying shame to see this store go. I will never set foot in this mall ever again because they don't have stores that fit the demographics of the neighborhood. It seems like they are trying to white wash the Green Acres Mall with high end stores that will never work in the area. Do your research before attempting to push the stores that fit the demographics of the neighborhood.
Very crowded. But I arrived around 1pm, so it's to be expected. Some areas and shelves were empty, maybe because of the upcoming holiday. I realized when I got home. There were some items I purchased that had a coupon. I feel if I have the app, and when I go to the store, the items I purchase should automatically be deducted. I missed almost $10 in coupons I could of used. It's tedious to have to go into the app and manually select the coupons. Need more coupons via in store, product and food prices have increased astronomically. May have to return to the store to get the deductions from bringing in my receipt... tedious
Many shops here and nice area, we visited Chuck E Cheese and the children had loads of fun 😁

We would definitely go here again.
Alot of store to go to also there is new construction going on right now. A shop rite and other stores being build, that besides target, walmart, pet co, red lobster and other restaurant. There is plenty of parking so there is no problem there. You could do all your shopping ing one place and stitch down to eat after your done.
Green Acres Mall is a solid place to shop, with a wide range of stores including Macy’s and plenty of other reliable options. You can usually find good deals if you look around, and there’s a decent variety of food choices for a quick meal or snack while you shop.

One thing I’m really looking forward to is the upcoming expansion. They’re planning to add more stores, and from the list I’ve seen, it looks like it’s going to be a huge improvement for the mall overall. It already has a good selection, but the new additions should make the experience even better.

Overall, it’s a nice mall with good stores, good food, and a lot of potential once the expansion is complete.
I bought a nice ladies' bag from here.
It’s a decent mall for quick errands, but many stores have closed over the years, and it’s not as lively or well-maintained as it used to be. Weekday visits can feel crowded, especially in the food court, where large groups sometimes make seating hard to find. It’s not the best place if you’re looking for a relaxing break, but it still works when you need to pick up essentials without spending too much time.
Green Acres Mall offers a pleasant experience with a good mix of popular retail stores and dining options. The mall is spacious and well-maintained, making it comfortable for visitors to spend several hours browsing.

Variety of Stores:

From fashion and electronics to specialty shops, Green Acres Mall caters to diverse tastes and needs.
- **Dining Choices:** The food court and sit-down restaurants provide a nice selection of meals and snacks, perfect for a break during shopping.

Cleanliness and Ambiance:

The mall is clean, bright, and welcoming, with friendly staff available to assist.

Parking and Accessibility:

Plenty of parking spots and easy access make visiting hassle-free.

Overall, Green Acres Mall is a reliable destination for those looking to combine shopping, dining, and leisure in one convenient location. Whether you’re running errands or planning a casual day out, it stands out as a solid choice.
This mall is REALLY trying to improve and fix its image.

New stores, lighting and supposedly new restaurants are on the way.

I saw three security guards patrolling...not just resting or using their phones.

These are all good steps.

The stores though we're not busy. And the corridors were not crowded at all.

There were times I was looking over my shoulder to see if I was going to be robbed, but that was on me...thankfully no crime today.

One question though....why are there 2 AT&T Stores so close to each other? One in Green Acres Mall and one in Green Acres Commons?

Very confusing.
Response from the owner
Thank you for noticing the positive changes—we’re glad you’ve seen the improvements firsthand, from new lighting to increased security presence. We’re committed to making Green Acres a safe, vibrant, and welcoming place to shop, and there’s even more on the way with new stores and restaurants coming soon!

Regarding the two AT&T locations—yes, there is one in Green Acres and another in Green Acres Commons. While they don’t necessarily serve different needs, having both locations offers added convenience and helps reduce wait times, giving shoppers more flexibility.

We truly appreciate your thoughtful feedback and support—hope to see you again soon!
Good mall to get what you need quickly, a lot of stores have closed down over the years. Not as busy or nice as it used to be. Beware going during the week as they bring in a lot of adults with special needs to the food court. They take over the whole area sometimes. No place to sit or relax in peace.
This is my 1st time visiting this mall, I drove from nyc. I decided to try shopping at the Walmart across the street and after check put the mall. This location has two floors only shopping and a large variety of stores to choose from. There's a decent size food court on the 2nd level along with restrooms which were clean. There's indoor and outdoor parking. I parked outside however the indoor didn't appear to be a fee for it. There's massage chairs and and sitting area to sit and relax. There's a Walmart, BJs and other stores across the street. Overall a decent mall to visit, it wasn't very busy due to its already after the holiday season.
