Over rated diner. It’s been here forever and it is nothing special. My 7 year old and I decided to check it out and were disappointed. He ordered a banana, strawberry, and Nutella crepe. It was tiny. Tasted ok but is not worth it. I ordered the protein omelette. Terrible. The only thing I enjoyed was the drip coffee. Never again.

Five of us descended upon George's for a late breakfast. Even though the place was crowded, we were seated immediately. Our waiter Everardo was friendly and attentive. He got all our orders correct and our food came out promptly. All our orders were excellent and reasonably priced. I would definitely return to George's on our next visit to NYC.

Be prepared, this is what you get when ordering an avocado toast. Very disappointing quality. Even the salt and pepper in the photo were added by me 🙂‍↔️.<br><br>Sorry, but I can not recommend this place. Additionally our seats were right next to the restrooms and kitchen (?), it was loud and hectic. The service was unfortunately disappointing as well - nobody seemed to care whether everything was okay at our table or not.

The quality of our experience at George's largely hinges on the reasons for our visit. The ambiance was passable, although the proximity of the tables made it feel somewhat claustrophobic. The food, however, was exceptional and promptly served. Unfortunately, the wait staff fell short, failing to check in on us regularly, neglecting to offer refills, and leaving us waiting for condiments. Given the mixed experience, we likely wouldn't return, but it was certainly memorable.

We loved this place!!<br>My partner and I stopped twice at George’s for brunch and absolutely loved their food and staff (shoutout to Jorge who was sooo nice).<br>They have an extensive menu, from waffles to eggs to more lunch options. Do not eat anything before because the portions are sooo big tho.<br>The food comes out quickly and the staff is always super attentive. I am from Mexico so when I started speaking in Spanish with them I instantly felt like home and welcomed, so I genuinely loved the atmosphere.<br>Would definitely go back next time I’m in the city!

Love a classic diner and this one did not disappoint. Great service, food was really good. Really liked the home style potatoes. Definitely will return.

Eddy and his team did a great job hosting upstairs my group of 32 Japanese high school students on a Sunday late morning for brunch. Service was quick and the kids loved the food, especially the Eggs Benedict and pancakes. Will bring more groups here in the future.

We basically made this little café our morning while in NYC. The menu was straightforward, the food was hearty, and every bite tasted like it was made with care. A big plate of eggs, some toast, and a strong cup of coffee was all we needed to get going. It’s the kind of spot where you feel instantly at home, and honestly, it made those busy days of walking the city so much easier. We looked forward to breakfast here every single day—it was that good.

George’s is such a lovely, cozy restaurant. The food was delicious, but the service truly made the experience special. The staff was attentive without being overwhelming and made us feel really taken care of. A great place for a relaxed and enjoyable meal.

Great staff, very friendly and kind getting us a big order of food during really terrible weather. We got a big chef salad, omelette and burger on Gluten free bread.

My wife and I are visiting NYC for the 2nd time during a total blizzard. We were hungry after a long day plowing through the snow and everything was canceling and closing but George’s was open right nearby our hotel. The cashier was incredibly friendly and inviting. He helped us navigate their menu which is a traditional diner with breakfast served all day. We ordered the hamburger deluxe style, Cobb salad with extra veggies, and the Mediterranean omelette with the cheese on the side. All three came out great. They gave us good portions on the main dishes and the price was right. Their service was quick too. The coleslaw portion is very small with the hamburger and ask for extra ketchup if you like a good amount with your fries for a to go order. They have a good amount of seating down and upstairs.

Food was good, about a 4/5. Be aware that they charge extra for almost everything, so the bill adds up fast. The place itself is pretty small and compact, which adds to how rushed everything feels.<br><br>Service was not great. Most of the waiters spoke Spanish and had trouble understanding or answering questions, and one waiter was straight up rude. It’s a very busy spot and they clearly want you in and out. We were repeatedly asked if we were done while we still had food in front of us and were actively eating, which felt uncomfortable and unnecessary.<br><br>Nice looking place with decent food, but the service and overall experience was ok I guess .

This was a great location near our hotel. We were lucky to get there before the crowd. We appreciated how efficient they divide parties in booths to give people privacy. My husband was happy with his burger and my son was excited to have his own pizza. The crab cake was made with kani instead of crab lumps, so I was a little disappointed by that. The service was great though -- from the host, to the people behind the bakery to our server. Everyone was amazing!

The food was delicious. The atmosphere is cozy, but not extremely quiet. The price surprised us a bit, but it was still okay — and the breakfast was definitely good.

The menu was a lot, and it was hard to pick so many options.<br><br>I opted for pancakes. They had a texture similar to Disney's Mickey waffles, my absolute favorite! What I enjoyed the most was that they weren’t overly sweet, and the fresh fruit was delicious. The coffee was great, and so was my scramble egg.<br><br>My husband ordered the Mediterranean kabobs, and the meat was incredibly flavorful. I wasn’t a fan of the rice, but overall, the dish was still delicious.<br><br>If you get seated upstairs, be mindful the stairs are quite narrow, but overall, it’s a great spot for a family Sunday brunch.
