Very good Korean wings. Get extra sauce on the side and dip your fried in them. Ask for fries crispy.

Large space. Very nice. Not too bright with modern decor.

Response from the owner

Kaitlyn, those Korean wings really are something special, and we love that pro tip about the extra sauce for dipping! So glad you vibed with our space and modern decor too. Come back soon and bring your appetite!

First, I want to give a shoutout to our waitress, Gracie. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and welcoming from the moment we arrived. My party of three felt well taken care of throughout the entire meal, and the excellent service made our experience even more enjoyable. The entire staff was kind and professional, but Gracie truly stood out. If you’re planning to visit, I highly recommend asking for her you won’t be disappointed!

Wanted a quick brunch visit so we stopped by Friedmans and were not disappointed! Service was very quick and the food came out when quicker! I got the latke with smoked salmon and poached eggs, it was incredible. Eggs were perfect and it was a big portion for the price, especially in new york city. Most of the menu is gluten free or can be made gluten free so if you have an allergy or are celiac its a great option!

Response from the owner

Madison, that latke with smoked salmon and poached eggs is a total showstopper – so glad it hit the spot! We're happy you found us to be a great gluten-free option and that the quick service didn't sacrifice quality. Come back soon for another brunch!

Really good breakfast. We came here last minute because a reservation was cancelled so we quickly arrived and were seated immediately. The food is really good, from the pancakes to the eggs Benedict.

I do have to mention, it’s a little noisy and the time I went the bathroom was locked and for some reason they didn’t give reason why. Nonetheless, the food was great!

Response from the owner

Fabian, so glad those pancakes and eggs Benedict hit the spot! We appreciate you rolling with the bathroom situation and the buzz – guess everyone else couldn't resist our farm-fresh ingredients either. Come back soon so we can wow you again!

In the week I spent in New York I visited Friedman's twice, it was that good. The food was delicious, the ingredients were all fresh and excellent quality and the poached eggs were cooked perfectly. The staff were so so friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. Next time I'm on NYC Friedman's will be on the agenda.

Response from the owner

Susan, we're so happy to hear those poached eggs hit the spot and that you loved our farm-fresh ingredients! Visiting us twice in one week is the ultimate compliment, and our team will be over the moon to hear how welcoming you found them. Can't wait to see you next time you're in NYC!

Everything we tried was excellent! It was all flavorful, hot, and fresh.

Excellent care for allergens - the menu is clearly marked and GF items come out with a toothpick, so there's no second guessing whether an item is safe for gluten allergies.

The lemon pancakes were so delicious, I was surprised at home much I liked them! They had a great texture.

The nova benny (salmon eggs benedict) was very flavorful and well made. I loved the latke instead of bread. It was crispy and a great balance to the flavors of the other elements.

The fried chicken and waffles can be made GF. The chicken was crispy and also had a great flavor! It is bones-in which makes it a little harder to eat with a knife and fork which it abnormal for chicken and waffles, but still really good.

Response from the owner

Phoebe, we're happy you loved the lemon pancakes, Nova Benny with that crispy latke, and the gluten-free fried chicken and waffles! Our team takes pride in making sure our gluten-free items are clearly marked and safely prepared, so it's awesome to hear that care didn't go unnoticed. Can't wait to have you back for more farm-fresh goodness!

This is my go to place, whenever I am seeing something at Madison square garden. The food is really affordable for NYC with great portions. I recommend reservations, but you can also walk in. The food is always so fresh and good with choices for everyone. Go during happy hour to try the cocktails and great appetizers.

Response from the owner

Vincent, we're glad you've made us your pre-MSG tradition! So awesome that you're loving our portions, farm-fresh ingredients, and happy hour scene—sounds like you've discovered all our best-kept secrets. Can't wait to fuel your next Garden adventure!

I’ve been here several times and always received the best food, the best service! Their chicken waffle is amazing!!!! But this place is always crowded. Better reserve a seat before you come.

Response from the owner

Thanks for coming by, Phuong! So awesome to hear our chicken waffle keeps bringing you back - that's exactly what we love to hear! We know it gets pretty packed, so definitely appreciate you giving folks the heads up about reservations.

The happy hour apps and our gluten free meals were delicious! The service was great and our waitress and waiter (yes two people were keeping an eye on us!) were friendly and in tune with our needs. Highly recommend coming here especially if you are gluten free!

Definitely recommend to try this place . We had a great time here. Our breakfast was good. People are nice and friendly. Atmosphere was great. My meal was OK. I got myself shakshuka. It was good but little bit too much bitterness/sour tomatoes. Omelet was great. One more thing coffee was not good. But overall great place, good service and friendly atmosphere.

Response from the owner

So glad you had a great time, Alexander! We're glad you enjoyed the omelet and our friendly atmosphere - though we'll definitely work on perfecting that shakshuka with our farm-fresh ingredients and getting our coffee game stronger. Thanks for the honest review and hope to see you back soon!

I went for a late lunch with a friend. It was a Tuesday afternoon, my overall impression was that it was a decent place to go for a meal and chat session near Penn Station. The food was decent. Fries could be more crispier but thats my personal preference. Sandwhich was good and good portion.
Would I go again? Yes, its in a good place, spacious, decent range of food. Worth the money? Considering the area and type of food, wouldn’t hurt to try.
I think dinner menu is different and would like to try that next time.

Response from the owner

Thanks for coming by, Hannah! We're glad you enjoyed your sandwich and found our spot near Penn Station perfect for catching up with friends - our spacious setup is definitely great for good conversations over fresh ingredients. Since you mentioned lunch, we'd love to have you back to try our breakfast menu, and we're excited you're already thinking about returning for dinner!

Good food but disappointing service. Our server, Tseten, was extremely slow and unprofessional. I asked for a coffee refill — after a long wait, it finally arrived in a plastic to-go cup instead of a proper mug. I asked specifically for cream, but the second time they brought milk. Even the checkout process felt messy and amateur. The kitchen does a great job, but the service needs serious improvement

My absolute favorite restaurant in New York City! Beautiful interior, modern yet cosy American flair and food. The service is really friendly, well informed and super fast. The food has exceptional quality, a lot of gluten free options are available, including pancakes, fried chicken, waffles, bread and toast. The fryer is completely gluten free, something like this does not happen often. The servers are well informed about gluten and can provide additional information. Pancakes, fried chicken and co are also available as a side dish, allowing you to try more food. Everything is reasonably priced and the food arrives super fast. 12/10 would recommend again.

Response from the owner

Sven, your enthusiasm for our pancakes, fried chicken, and waffles totally made our day! We're thrilled you appreciate our dedicated gluten-free fryer and fresh ingredients - it's exactly what we're going for. Hope to see you back soon for more of those favorites!

We skipped the free hotel breakfast (no regrets) and found this spot thanks to good old Yelp.
For a late lunch, I’m not mad at this place. Judging by the crowd, it’s clearly popular, but even with the rush, we were seated pretty quickly.

My wife ordered the chicken and cheddar waffles, and I went with the B.E.L.T. and we both had a mimosa.

The food came out hot and fresh. The chicken was perfectly fried, crispy, moist, and seasoned just right. The waffle had a nice texture: soft with a little crunch. The cheddar was mild and didn’t overpower the waffle. Overall, a solid combo.

The B.E.L.T. hit the spot. The bread was toasted just right, and the bacon was high quality. I swapped the sunny side up egg for scrambled, and it still worked great. The potato hash was fried nicely, could’ve used a bit more salt, but nothing a little ketchup couldn’t fix.

Our server mentioned the $10 mimosas, so of course, we had to try them. They were just ok, with extremely small portions. I also would have preferred other juice options for the mimosa besides orange juice. Overall it was refreshing, but next time I’d probably
go for a cocktail or just a plain Orange Juice.

Overall, a good spot. I’d recommend it.

Response from the owner

Thanks for coming by, James! So happy to hear the chicken and cheddar waffles and B.E.L.T. hit the spot with our fresh ingredients - sounds like that perfectly fried chicken was a winner! Since you enjoyed our lunch offerings, we'd love to have you back to try our breakfast menu too.
