For the first time in this establishment, my son invited a child’s birthday. The hall is very stylishly decorated, the food is very tasty, a beautiful serving of the dish. Double pork is very well prepared. Polite service

Response from the owner

Dear Olena, thank you for dining with us and enjoying our double cut pork chop entree. We hope to see you back soon
best regards
errick

Sat "outside", which I would recommend- heaters, bug netting, roof. No reason to not enjoy the evening air.
The food was tasty and well presented. The drinks were good though not mind-blowing.
The service was attentive without being intrusive.

I had an amazing night here with my family! I definitely will come back again. I highly recommend the F&O wings, Kobe meatballs, Spinach & Artichoke dip, Cheese burger, Penne Pasta, and the Salmon. Our server was very nice and attentive. When we first walked in it was a nice environment with great vibes. The hostess and all of the other staff was amazing.

Had an incredible lunch here! We ordered a little bit of everything — steak, spicy rigatoni, sushi, and a variety of appetizers — and every single dish was absolutely amazing.

What really made the experience stand out was our waiter, Stanley. His service was impeccable from start to finish. Attentive, friendly, and spot-on with every recommendation, he made sure everything came out perfectly and that we were taken care of the entire time.

Stanley truly elevated our lunch into a five-star experience. We’ll definitely be coming back.

Fire & Oak in Jersey City remains one of the more sophisticated spots in the area. The ambiance is perfect--moody, upscale, and consistently chic--making it a great choice for a high-end night out.

The Food:
The star of the night was the Spicy Rigatoni. The creamy Calabrian pepper tomato sauce delivers a legitimate, vibrant heat that doesn't hold back. Breaking into the Italian burrata is essential; the creamy center beautifully tempers the spice, while the micro basil adds a nice hit of freshness. We also started with the truffle fries, which were executed perfectly--crispy, aromatic, and a total highlight.

The Service:
While the food was top-tier, the service wasn't great which is why I deducted 2 whole stars. I ordered a ginger ale that never made it to the table, yet it still appeared on our final bill - not cool. It's a small detail, but at this level of dining and price point, you expect those things to be caught. Also, the service overall was pretty slow which was disappointing.

Verdict:
Even with the minor billing oversight, the culinary execution is elite. If you're a fan of bold, spicy pasta and a great atmosphere, this is still a JC must-visit. Just double-check your tab!

Fire & Oak exceeded all expectations! Every dish we tried was absolutely delicious, starting with the Grilled Spanish Octopus paired with a creamy Santorini fava dip—fresh, bright, and full of Mediterranean flair. The Fire & Oak Burger was an absolute standout: juicy, flavorful, and perfectly smoky, dressed with sharp Vermont cheddar and a generous portion that gives real bang for your buck.
The Shrimp & Crabmeat Pasta was rich and satisfying, packed with wild shrimp and jumbo lump crab in a luscious plum tomato sauce. The 3 Cheese Spinach & Artichoke Dip hit all the right notes—creamy, tangy, and paired with crispy chips and cool sour cream.
We also had the Crispy Local Calamari, which was tender with just the right kick from chili flakes, and the Roasted Beets &

Today (3/24), we had the octopus, sushi, fish and the ribs. Everything was absolutely delicious! The maître d’ was not very accommodating or even had an idea how to treat regular customers, but we tried to over passed that negative experience in order to have a good evening. Although we had reservations, she wanted to sit us next to the bar as she stated the stools was the only available sitting. After we told her that we preferred to sit somewhere else, she offered a nice table. The place was so crowded for a Tuesday evening, but it was not surprising for us. This place is always packed! We waited a while for our drinks, but once we ordered food, everything came at a decent time. We had left overs and we left satisfied. The noise level was high for our taste, but did not take away from a wonderful evening with my sister and niece.

Crispy Goat Cheese salad—an absolute gem with candied pecans and a delicate truffle vinaigrette that tied it all together. Fries were crispy, plentiful, and addictive.
From starters to mains, every bite was bursting with flavor. Highly recommend for anyone who loves bold flavors and generous portions

The atmosphere was beautiful and the service was good not great because my food was cold so that means the runners didn’t bring it right out but the waitress was very nice. The food had mixed reviews but this is my post and it’s my opinion . My food was cold and lacked flavor we had spinach dip it wasn’t good and it was warm not hot , chicken parm was ok , beef ribs needed salt but was very tender and hot the orzo was cold I wanted to send it back but I don’t do that unless I’m willing to not eat at all . I was told the wings , pizza and pork ribs were very good the salad with chicken was just ok we had other items but I didn’t ask how they tasted. You have to walk through the kitchen area to go to the rest room and people food was just sitting out .

Came here for my anniversary dinner. The place is nice and cozy. All the food I had was delicious. Nice staff however our server wasn’t too warm or talkative to us but I don’t mind. He did his job well and we enjoyed our dinner

Decided to try them AGAIN, since we haven't eaten here in about 3 yrs. (A Brief rundown...) Went here for Valentine's Day 3 yrs ago, walked in to be seated for a nice romantic dinner, & they had the song "Pony" by Ginuwine blasting SOO loud that I had to YELL my order out to the server, but since they refused to turn the music down to a more respectable level, we just went ahead & left. Soooo, we decided to give them Another try lastnight. I ordered the Au gratin potatoes, St. Louis style ribs, & Cole slaw. Hubby had the lambchops, asparagus, & whipped potatoes, along with our appetizer, the F&O wings. We got our meal to go, (which came out pretty quickly.) Soo the St. Louis ribs weren’t very “St Louis” at all, they were extremely dry, which required me to add TWO extra sauces on them. The sauce was Bland, along with the ribs. Absolutely NO FLAVOR within them. Now, the Au gratin potatoes were the BIGGER Disappointment, (or perhaps I should refer to it as a Hash Brown drowned in queso cheese..) which was also Bland. I couldn’t eat more than 2 small bites. I even added salt & pepper, & was still very dissatisfying. The Cole slaw was missing a Ton of ingredients, & tasted like shredded cabbage drenched in some “pour over mayo..” So I tried one of the F&O wings which I believe were supposed to be of a “honey-chili” flavor, but were charred, so I couldn’t finish it. Hubby liked his asparagus, & ate one of his lambchops. And since I was STILL hungry, I resorted to eating one of his lambchops, which actually were pretty good. But of course, ONE LAMBCHOP just wasn’t enough dinner for me, so unfortunately we ended up having to go out in the late night cold to one of those Mediterranean food trucks to get our dinner for the night. They get 2 stars from me because #1-the staff that took the order was nice, & #2- the Lambchop was good, the Overall experience BOTH Times could have been better. Won’t be returning.

Fire Oak is not just a restaurant. It’s an experience. A proper, smell-the-smoke, feel-the-heat, watch-the-magic-happen kind of place.

From the moment we walked in, you could tell this was serious steak territory. The open fire grill is front and centre, flames dancing, chefs in full flow, and that unmistakable aroma of oak-fired perfection filling the room. Naturally, we all did the only sensible thing… every single person ordered steak. No hesitation. No debate. Just collective agreement that Fire Oak exists for one purpose: to cook meat to absolute perfection.

And wow. They delivered.

Each steak arrived beautifully rested, perfectly seared, and cooked exactly as ordered. Medium rare that was actually medium rare. Juicy, tender, smoky, and full of flavour. No gimmicks. No nonsense. Just world-class beef treated with respect.

The sides were banging too. Proper steakhouse chips, rich sauces, and all the trimmings you want when you’re in full carnivore mode.

But the real star of the show was the theatre. Standing in front of that grill, selfie time with our brilliant waitress, flames roaring behind us, feeling like we were in a Netflix food documentary. One of those moments you just have to capture.

Fire Oak is where you go when you want to eat well, laugh loud, take selfies, and leave already planning your next visit.

Steak lovers. This is your place.
🔥🥩 Excelsior.

Definitely a first class experience minus the noise. Of course that’s because everyone loves coming here and you can hear a lot of happy voices plus add a wedding team :) But nevertheless we enjoyed our time, the food, the ambience and the lovely staff who were very courteous and friendly and made us comfortable when we realized we had ordered a meat dish accidentally. A must visit if you are in the area.

We loved coming in here. The food was delicious, the place was really nice inside, and best of all, our server Rosalita was amazing. She gave us great recommendations and perfect service. We would definitely come back to see her! I particularly liked the spinach and artichoke dip and my husband was very happy with his mussels.
