Amazing supermarket! Prices are very reasonable considering it’s in Manhattan. Quality of fruit is unbeatable, especially their organic section. Deli section is small but quality food, and the staff is very friendly. You can find everything in this supermarket. I love it!

Extremely helpful staff. Very friendly and patient. However, the store layout can be a bit confusing. For example, there are about 6 different sections for cheese, so it makes it difficult to locate items at times.

Response from the owner

Thank you for your feedback, AJ! We are so grateful to have you as a customer! We will be sharing your message with the store’s management team, for better improvement. Thank you for letting us know!

A wide variety of items, decent produce, organic and kosher section. But the place is a madhouse, always crowded, it seems. I watched a man reach into the olive bins with his fingers and help himself; no way to prevent that, really. There may be a method to how things are organized, but I haven't figured it out. Oatmeal is upstairs and downstairs, organics are upstairs, so if you want organic yogurt, it's not with the non-organic yogurt. Same with eggs and milk. There are two elevators to help you move from floor to floor, but it takes patience. Employees are helpful but overwhelmed. Prices are New York standard (i.e., not cheap).

Crowded and cramped grocery store but fairway market has products you can't find anywhere else and plus they have lightning fast checkout. I got on the checkout line with about 35 customers in front of me and yet i was still able to pay for my items and leave in a mere 5 minutes!

Amazingly operated. I always can find anything I need. A wide variety of products. I definitely recommend buying seasonal berries. Sometimes you can find jumbo big blueberries. Pay attention to the second floor as well.
The supermarket has to find a way to grow the business or open another store nearby. Between 12 and 4 PM it seems to be overcrowded. Most of the time it is killed with people right after 6 PM.

I have shopped here for a long time. Service is consistently good and staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Thanks to all at Fairway who make this happen. It is not an accident! Mary Claudia Wall

Shopping at Fairway is a new experience for me. Recently my OTC benefits changed. So here I am shopping at Fairway. This location is spacious with so much variety of products. Their meat department is amazing. The fresh coffee selection is also impressive. The staff at the meat and coffee departments were so friendly today. This is now a go to market. My organic eggs were quite the buy, this morning. Highly recommended!

The iconic Fairway of Broadway. They tried to expand too quickly and had to close everyplace but this one, the original and the best. Huge, cramped market in the Upper West Side. Action indoors and out. Lots of departments featuring fresh bread, pastries, fish, meats and appetizers. Narrow aisles. As clean as possible, when you take the heavy traffic into consideration. But huge waits at the checkout at 2pm on a weekday? Unacceptable. Credit card self checkout as well as the several cashiers were inundated. I did not have the patience to wait.

My favorite grocery store in the city. When in New York I stay at 76th and Broadway so this is so close. A beautiful produce department, cheese department, all basic groceries and my favorite… the bakery. Open late this is a great place to stop off for a snack. My fave is the hamantashan and the linzar tarts. Perfect NY pastries. They also have good cookies. Join the Fairway club and there are discounts when you check out too.

This place is a great neighborhood grocery store 🏪! Fairway Market on West 74th Street has an endless selection of fresh fruit 🍎, vegetables 🥒, meat 🍖, cheese 🧀, canned goods 🥫, pastries 🥖, bread 🍞, snacks, and more! It is so fun to walk around and explore the shop! You can easily and quickly checkout 🛒 using self checkout stations or the Fairway mobile app.📱I wish I came here more often!

Great store with plenty of variety!

Shopped here a few times during our stay in New York and it’s definitely worth it, they have a good selection of grocery’s and some good bargains if you look for them.

The queues here are not usually as long as those in the local Trader Joes.

Would definitely recommend to others.

I like that they have a large selection of spices and seafood! Most grocery items I need from Fairway market were located on the ground floor, so I do not need to go up and down the stairs with my kids. Also, I got their cooked lobster for $13.99, which I think was a great deal considering that I do not need to clean or boil the lobster. It saved me a good deal of work and energy. It tasted really good after I took all the meat out and warm it with just butter! When I want seafood, I probably will go to Fairway!
I also love their Heart of Palm. The bottle has wide opening, and I up-cycled it by removed its label with make-up remover. Jars work well as storage containers for me.

I love this Fairway. For one thing, it's open 24 hours. What do they have? Would be a far shorter list to name what they don't have. They have everything! Except razors maybe. Those, I couldn't find.

The produce is off the chart in variety and quality. Ditto the fish and meats. Upstairs is dedicated to organic, vegan, natural. Again, with a dizzying selection.

Cashiers and people on the floor . . . terse and busy. Hey, it is NYC after all. I had a heck of a time finding toothpaste. Two customers took me under their wing, but they had trouble, too. Finally we found someone who directed me.

Wish I lived in the neighborhood - it's equal parts grocery, prepared food, health food, and entertainment

Great neighborhood grocery store. Been coming here for 20 years.

Excellent selection and great seafood, butcher, cheese dept, coffee bean selection, and olive bar. Produce and vegetables are consistently excellent as well. Cheapest prices vs online and other neighborhood grocery stores. Nice flower selection outside.

They finally take Apple Pay and do mobile checkout using their app which is great bc the lines in this place can often be a nightmare, especially right before holidays and at peak times during the day. They recently extended their hours and are open 24/7 which is very convenient for neighborhood insomniacs like me. You can get groceries delivered using Instacart.

The cafe on the second floor is a fantastic place go for a casual breakfast or lunch. I think it’s only locals who really know about it which is nice.
