When you book and pay online, you have to pay an additional amount “destination fee” when you arrive. After booking months in advance, I was caught off guard on this. But did confirm in the original booking that I was informed about this.<br><br>Also, the “king” beds are not true kings. They’re a shorter version.<br><br>Otherwise, the hotel was fine, room was good, smelled very chemically when we first got in, but smell dissipated after a day or so.

Rough service with front desk. Took 4 persistent asks to get a crib in room. Wifi is not usable inside room. Unable to get 2 rooms together despite repeated requests from reservation to days prior. Room and location is okay, but expect better for the cost.

This hotel is deserved 2 star rating . There is no water bottle and morning coffee in the room . I need to edit this review for another night after the previous night. There is no water in the room as well as water dispenser on the 14th floor . Its not enough light on the desk when one need to work in laptop . One more thing to be addressed that the WIFI is extremely slow .

There’s no planet that this is a 4 star hotel. It’s not terrible but at best it’s a 2 star.<br><br>You’re paying for a clean room with a clean bed here and that’s about it. No service to speak of. No assistance with bags and the worst part - the WiFi is terrible.<br><br>I’m sorry but in 2026 you can’t be a hotel and have WiFi that barely works. I’d say this place is a half step above a nice hostel. Thankfully we only needed to be here for a night.

I can not say enough about the warmth and kindness of the staff here. Every person I interacted with was warm and hospitable. My expectations were exceeded at every turn! Then add the hotels convenient location and nice rooms it’s a no brainer! I will 100% stay here again.<br><br>Special thanks to Monique, Charisma FMB and Artie.

Stayed here for 4 nights at EVEN Hotel Brooklyn by IHG and it was a refreshing, comfortable experience — solid 4 stars and a great pick for Brooklyn stays.<br>The location is excellent (5 stars): at 46 Nevins St in Boerum Hill/Downtown Brooklyn, you're right near Nevins St subway (multiple lines for quick Manhattan access), a short walk to Barclays Center, Brooklyn Academy of Music, Atlantic Terminal, and easy stroll to Brooklyn Bridge or DUMBO. Perfect for catching events, exploring Brooklyn's vibe, or commuting to the city without Manhattan prices — lively area but the hotel feels tucked away enough for peace.

I absolutely loved my stay at this hotel. The hotel and the room were spotless, which made a great first impression. Having a workout kit in the room, along with a fully equipped gym, was a fantastic bonus. The staff was available 24/7 and went above and beyond to help with anything we needed—especially during the snowstorm, which really showed their professionalism and kindness. The food was excellent, and I really enjoyed the convenience of the free water and ice machine on the floor. The location is perfect, just steps away from the subway. I would happily stay here again!

I was charged 261.92 extra for an 8 day stay in DEC 2025. It popped up on my VISA after I checked out. When I called to find out what it was for I was told it was for amenities. I did not receive any of the amenities. Then I was told it was a penalty for not having booked directly through the hotel. I didn’t realize I had not booked directly.<br><br>Next time I am in Brooklyn - I am there often as my daughter lives there - I will book another hotel. But for this penalty, I would be returning to hour hotel.

I had a great stay at EVEN Hotel Brooklyn. The rooms were spacious and spotless, and the housekeeping team did an amazing job every day keeping everything clean and comfortable. The front desk staff were warm, friendly, and very helpful, making check in and check out easy.<br><br>The location is fantastic and makes it easy to explore the city. You are a short walk from several subway stations including Hoyt Schermerhorn Streets, DeKalb Avenue, Hoyt Street, Nevins Street, and Jay Street MetroTech, which gives access to multiple subway lines and makes getting around NYC very convenient.<br><br>There are plenty of shopping and food options nearby, including the City Point mall and many great places to eat within walking distance. It is a shame we did not get a chance to catch a Brooklyn Nets game at Barclays Center, but if I am ever visiting NYC again, I will definitely be staying here.

Stayed here from 26–28 Dec 2025. Rooms are clean, modern, and spacious, which is the main positive.<br><br>Unfortunately, service was disappointing. Check-in staff were not welcoming, and the USD 25 breakfast is not worth it—very limited options and make-to-order only, with no clear instructions for guests.<br><br>I specifically requested scrambled eggs without pork, but was still served eggs with pork mixed in, and the staff seemed irritated rather than helpful. This is unacceptable, especially for paying guests with dietary restrictions.<br><br>Good rooms, but poor service and overpriced breakfast hurt the overall experience.

Your front desk Reception needs a refresh on costumer service. I really wish i’d had grabbed his name but after how poorly we were treated by him I did not even bother to carry out any sort of conversation out of the bald front reception worker. When we first arrived I got the vibe that he was already judging us because we were younger, and I was correct, from the begging I tried to be nice as i understand people can have bad days(especially towards the end of the day)but he was pretty hostile from the beginning. I called before i booked my trip to ensure that my age wouldn’t conflict with the booking as I am two months shy of being 21 and know that many hotels have this age policy in place, on my booking site it did not indicate which led to me calling and receiving the green light on booking at this location. I told the receptionist this and was basically deciding whether to be a jerk or not for 3 minutes on the computer. He then gives me the run down on running a credit card for incidentals which I am well aware of and asked if the tap to was fine. He goes of on me and says to me very condescendingly “ So you’re not 21 and you don’t have a credit card?!!” loudly for the two other guest in the lobby area to hear. I explained clearly upset at that point but still being respectful and not using any negative language that I do have a credit card it’s just on my apple pay. He takes me explaining as “attitude” and says “ Don’t give me attitude now because I shouldn’t even be checking you in”. I stay quiet and let him continue with trying to charge my card as i did not want any more issues than what he had already created. He gets us checked in and gives my brother and I two room keys. Which we had to redo four times and move us rooms on the last attempt as each time he had them “fixed” we went up and down the stairs to communicate this. My other companion did mention me apologized for the situation and gave him a complimentary breakfast but still made an unfunny “joke” about the keys not working being due to my age. This was not a pleasant welcome after being on a plane for hours. Later that night we were woken up by someone playing with our door at 2 am. The hotel was clean ish we did find some hairs on the shower but the rest of hotel staff was pleasant.

We used this hotel for our wedding guests and their team was great, especially with the various needs we had as a small DIY wedding party. Rooms are chic and comfortable, beds are firm, and the location can’t be beat. All our wedding weekend activities were walkable or at most a one-train ride from the hotel. The rates are also extremely fair.<br><br>A couple of things to be aware of when considering this hotel for a wedding block:<br><br>1) The rooms vary quite a bit in size and amenities, even within the same rate category. This can also be a good thing—one of our guests ended up with a rooftop patio where we were able to do a photo shoot.<br><br>2) Communication with the sales team regarding your room block can take several days if something comes up. In the end it all worked out, but I can imagine this being challenging for a more anxious bride.<br><br>Finally: One of the elevators was out of order during our stay. It wasn’t actually that big a deal, just a reason to allow a few extra minutes to get downstairs (we were on the 10th-14th floors and in wedding attire so stairs were not practical). However, since this service issue appears to have been going on for weeks or possibly months and I am sure it’s driving the staff crazy, I am factoring this into the “service” rating in hopes the building manager sorts it out soon.

We stayed at the hotel for three nights. It isn’t in the greatest spot in Brooklyn, but you can get to better areas by walking 10 to 15 minutes. As others have mentioned, one of two elevators were out, which meant most rides were full. In terms of the room itself, it was fine. The room was clean, but the AC made a lot of noise (on top of the noise from the road). Turning the shower on involved getting sprayed with water unless you adjusted the nozzle. Overall, the experience staying at the hotel was decent, but I’m not sure it was worth the price tag.

Staying at this hotel as a solo traveler was the best thing that I could’ve done. Not only did they provide a yoga mat and blocks for me in my room, but the hotel was quiet and comfortable and clean. The staff was wonderful and friendly and so helpful. I will be staying there again.

My wife and I stayed for three nights at the Even Hotel in Brooklyn.<br><br>I rate it 3 out of 5 star rating. It is OK but not great. I will not stay here again.<br><br>First off, let me mention the good things.<br><br>Great location. The rooms are well appointed and very clean. The beds are firm. The staff at check-in and in the dining room were friendly and helpful. Our breakfasts were good.<br><br>Now let me mention the not so great aspects of our stay.<br><br>One of the two elevators in the building was out of action. A front desk person said that it had been out of action for at least two weeks. That translates into terminable delays waiting for the one elevator. We were fortunate to have a room on the second floor. We walked up and down the stairs.<br><br>One of the dining room’s two self-service coffee machines, the good one that made espresso or regular, was not in operation. The other coffee machine was operable but had a bad habit of filling up half the cup with coffee and the remainder with hot water. The dining room staff person suggested swapping out the cup when it was half full. I give full marks for suggesting that good workaround. I give the machine a failing grade.<br><br>The air conditioner in our room worked. However, it was very noisy. Think the background noise you experience on an airplane. The climate control panel allowed for the fan to set to Auto or Off. There was no way to control the speed of the fan and thus the noise.
