Located in the West Village, this restaurant offers good service, a pleasant atmosphere, and an A hygiene rating.

The salad was delicious, although significantly spicier than expected. This is something that should be communicated more clearly when ordering. The hamburger was excellent and unlike any I had tried before.

Staff was really friendly.

Overall, a very good experience and a restaurant I would recommend.

Visited Emily in New York recently and tried the Seasoned Waffle Fries and Spicy Chicken Sandwich. Both were absolutely delicious! The fries were crispy with perfect seasoning, and the sandwich had the right balance of spice and flavor. Really enjoyed the food and overall experience.

The burger featured a double patty and the taste was incredible. It was packed with plenty of cheese and the sauce was delicious. To top it off, the fries were perfectly crispy. A fantastic spot for a satisfying and high-quality meal!

First thing is this place was packed. Very popular restaurant. Make sure to have a reservation. Great service. The food was good. You can’t beat a burger made with Pat LaFrieda beef! Pizza was good, it did take a very long time for it to come out. Lots of different seating. We were seated in the basement so if you don’t or can’t do steps, make sure they know this. The restrooms are in the basement.

Georgian beer is really good. And I also like the dumplings they have. They're cheese dumplings and also meat dumplings. I like the meat one.

Most of their dishes contain cheese, so if you like cheese, that's a great place.
The location is in the heart of South Manhattan, close to the Hudson River. It offers a great price point for casual dinners and drinks with friends or family.

4.5 The Emmy Double Stack Burger: Medium, Bacon
8.5 Waffle Fries

The burger was mid and sweet, its not the salty savory burger you would expect. It felt like a sugar burger.

Response from the owner

Hi Jamesline, we hope your day is going well and thank you so much for taking the time to dine with us last weekend! I'm very sorry to hear the burger flavor profile was not to your liking as we aim to please every guest. We value every customer and I will be sharing the feedback with our kitchen to ensure we are executing the burger to the company standard. We hope to see you back soon... you must try our pizza's; DELICOUS!

We came to Emily for the burger and it was absolutely worth the hype. One of the best burgers I’ve had. Also, if you are a non-drinker, the lavender mocktail was phenomenal. Our server Simon was amazing!!! Thank you, Simon!!!

Emily — We visited on a weekday around 4:30 PM and were pleasantly surprised to find seating readily available. With the weather on our side, we opted for an outdoor table which added to the overall experience. Given its well-earned popularity reservations are highly recommended during peak hours.

Although we weren’t particularly hungry curiosity led us to order The Emmy Double Stack Burger. It proved to be a standout the beef was rich and flavorful the bun perfectly structured and the sauce brought everything together with impressive balance. Paired with a generous portion of fries it felt indulgent without being overwhelming.

While the price point may initially seem high for a burger the quality and execution justify it. I didn’t have the appetite to try the pizza on this visit but judging by the visually striking pies at neighboring tables it’s clearly worth returning for.

Emily West Village—A Speakeasy, a Double Stack, and a Reason to Come Back

Getting a walk-in table at Emily on a busy Saturday afternoon feels like a minor miracle, and the host who made it happen deserves special recognition…could not have been kinder, a great sign of a well-run establishment.

I settled into the downstairs section and loved it. A cozy speakeasy with a dash of wine cellar energy, the perfect backdrop for what I had come here to do…try the much talked about Emmy Double Stack Burger.

Unfortunately I found myself on the other end of some bad luck because it took a few attempts to finally get my hands on the elusive double stack.

By the time the host, clearly doubling as the conscience of this operation, intervened and personally committed to getting it right, I had been staring at an empty table for the better part of 45 minutes. To his credit, he was gracious, apologetic, and absolutely locked in on making it right.

The Emmy Double Stack is a solid, well-constructed burger and there’s real craft behind it. She arrives looking every bit the part with a pretzel bun, house sauce, and delicious waffle fries that earn their place on the plate.

The meat though runs slightly firmer than expected for a 30.00+ price point, which keeps it just outside the conversation for truly elite NYC burgers.

A strong showing, just not quite the knockout its reputation suggests.

The manager graciously sent over a specialty at Emily called the Zeppoli for dessert. Fried dough with whipped cream and the most divine flavored cream cheese. The donuts were a tad dense for my liking but definitely scrumptious.

Emily is a great spot. The vibe is warm, the location is lovely, the staff is genuinely lovely.

I Highly recommended.

Pretty decent lunch spot, not crazy priced for a sit down place near Hudson Square. The apps were a surprise favorite, while I felt that the burger and pizza were just okay. The desserts were better than most, but nothing exceptional.

Install I'd rank it a personal 7.0, but it would qualify as a NYC 5*.

Tasty appetizers, Emmy burger was good but messy, pizza was good too. Service was good and not rushed. Would come back here or other locations if in area again.

As part of my NYC bar crawl, this was my last stop, and I must have accidentally saved the best for last because this place completely stole the show. Everything was amazing. I ordered the bulgogi fries and a pizza, and both far exceeded my expectations. I was not expecting much from either dish, but they were outstanding, and I have found myself craving those fries ever since.

The beer selection was solid. I started with the KCBC Penguins in Space IPA, which was very good, and I could easily see myself ordering it again. I then switched things up with a dirty gin martini with extra blue cheese olives. The bartender and I ended up chatting about different gins after I noticed they carried New Amsterdam, which is my go to gin at home. I usually prefer The Botanist, but the bartender mentioned they did not have it at the time.

This restaurant is also not far from where my wife works in NYC, so I can definitely see us coming back here again soon.

This restaurant is 🔥🔥🔥 Such great vibes! Personally I like sitting downstairs because it looks so cool down there! This is hands down one of the best burgers you’re gonna have!! I also got the bulgogi fries which were delicious! Tiny bit spicy but not much. This is the 2nd time I’ve been here so that speaks because I don’t often do that.

Cute little spot in west village with great service. Larger place than you would think as it has a down stairs. We did group dinner and pretty affordable shared prefix menu. Enjoyed various pizzas, meatballs, and salads. Staff was amazing and food service was quick. Recommend
