Stumbled upon this restaurant at Times Square and absolutely loved my experience! All those 5 star reviews are spot on! Our server, Hazel, was very welcoming and accommodating. She patiently answered any questions we had about the menu. I ordered drunken noodles with chicken and it was REALLY good. If you can't decide what to order, that's a safest choice. Food is freshly made and the quality is top-tier. Very reasonably priced and portion size is decent. You can share a meal easily.

Went to Elephant Ear NYC a couple times and overall had a good experience. The Thai Basil Minced Chicken with Crispy Pani Puri appetizer has been solid both times I ordered it. The flavor is really good, although I felt it leaned a little salty. I also tried the Pad Thai with ribeye and that was probably one of my favorites — the ribeye was very tender and cooked medium rare perfectly.

The first time I went I had the Pineapple Curry Duck and enjoyed that too. It had a nice balance of flavors with a pretty good kick to it, so if you like some spice you’ll probably enjoy it.

The restaurant seems to stay pretty busy, so service was okay but nothing that really stood out (Hen was pretty good). One thing I think people should know beforehand is they have a time limit for tables (around 1 hour 15–30 minutes), so if you’re planning on sitting around for a long dinner and conversation, just keep that in mind.

Overall I’d still go back. The food has been consistently good for me and definitely worth try.

One of the best Thai food spots I’ve tried recently! The Crying Tiger with Garlic Rice was smoky, tender, and full of flavor. The Mixed Seafood with Salty Duck Egg had a rich and creamy salted egg sauce that paired perfectly with the seafood. I also loved the Stir Fried Crispy Chicken with Lemongrass — crispy, fragrant, and not greasy at all. The Seafood Laksa Noodle Soup was comforting and flavorful with a creamy coconut curry broth. Everything tasted fresh and well-balanced. Definitely coming back again!

First time at Elephant Ear and will definitely come again! The food is amazing and our servers, Prim and Zack, were very helpful in helping us decide which dishes we would like to try! We got the jumbo shrimp appetizer, short rib prik kang, and pad Thai with ribeye, all beautifully presented and delicious!

I felt Elephant Ear is one of the good Thai restaurants I have tried. It is located near Times Square, which makes it a prime spot on the main road.

We tried the fried crab, green Thai curry, and seafood platter. Everything was good, and the quantity was average. The green Thai curry was decent but not very impressive, while the seafood platter really made the difference.

We also tried cocktails, and Zeck, who was making them, was very good and friendly. The lychee-based cocktail I had was really nice and well-made.

You should definitely try this place if you like Asian cuisine. I would recommend reserving a table in advance, otherwise you might end up waiting or sitting at the bar counter—which is fine, but may not be very convenient if you are with family.

The food is pretty good, specially the appetizers. The portions are pretty big for an appetizer in Hell’s Kitchen. We got the combo, the wings and ton yum. The ton yum sup is actually very tasty. It opened the appetite since it came first. Regarding the entrees, we got the sea bass and the shrimp + squid. The portions are smaller than what we expected, but the taste is very good. The vibe is nice.

I had a wonderful experience at Elephant Ear Restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious—everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can really tell they put effort into both quality and taste.

The ambiance was warm and inviting, making it a great place to relax and enjoy a meal. What truly made the experience stand out, though, was the service. Shin was an amazing server—attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed without being overbearing. Their recommendations were spot on and really enhanced our dining experience.

Overall, highly recommend Elephant Ear Restaurant if you’re looking for great food and excellent service. Will definitely be coming back!

Hazel was incredible! We were blown away by the drinks, food and service. Hazel recommended the crying tiger and seafood with duck egg. Both were incredible. In addition we got papaya salad and the Thai basil chicken appetizers. Both of them were exceptional as well. We also had lychee martinis that were sweet and packed with a punch. We will definitely return here soon!

Such a cute spot!! Food was really delicious, the garlic fried rice with the crying tiger steak was so addictive. Duck tamarind and fried eggplant yummy, and we also got a lychee thai tea. High quality food and bold flavors. Our server M was so really attentive and nice

The restaurant has a cozy Southeast Asian vibe with colorful hanging lamps that add a nice atmosphere.

One highlight was their pandan drink, fragrant and refreshing, and honestly even better than Thai milk tea. The soft shell crab red curry was very flavorful and paired perfectly with rice. The tom yum seafood soup was nicely balanced, sour and spicy with plenty of seafood. The pineapple fried rice was decent, though not the most memorable.

We also tried the dessert sampler, which looked beautiful and tasted great. Overall the meal was around $30 per person, which is a pretty good value for Manhattan. Definitely a solid Thai spot worth trying.

M, one of the hosts, was so kind to get us seated so fast as they were still setting up for opening hours. The service was quick, efficient, and the food...indescribable. It was one of the best soups I had. This is one of the best thai restaurants ive ever been to. M, was amazing and his personality made our experience so pleasurable!! Thanks M!!!!

Elephant Ear Thai Restaurant brings a vibrant, elevated take on Thai fusion cuisine to NYC’s Hell’s Kitchen. My friend and I ordered 3 dishes and 2 drinks for lunch.

The Elephant Roast Combo impressed us with perfectly grilled satay skewers (that tasted like real meat), crispy bites, and balanced flavors with the 3 different sauces. My favorite dish was the Drunken Noodle with Ribeye Steak for its rich flavor and portion size.

The Pineapple Fried Rice served in a carved pineapple was both instagrammable and beautifully layered. We paired our meal with a creamy Thai Iced Tea (lychee/green tea available) and fragrant Pandan Cooler Mocktail (alc available). The customer service here is top-notched with affordable prices, and is truly a must-visit for Thai food lovers in NYC.

One of my favorite Thai restaurants in the city. Their ribeye is really yummy, and great with either the garlic rice or the pad thai!

Have been here multiple times now and my friends have all enjoyed this place too. Service is very friendly~

Came here around noon on Friday and it wasn’t busy at all.

We recently visited this Thai restaurant. It was very good experience. The food was absolutely excellent — every dish was bursting with authentic flavors, perfectly balanced between spice, sweetness, and aroma. The service was just as impressive; the staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect throughout our meal. One thing to note: if you’re planning to go on a Friday, make sure to reserve a table in advance. It’s a popular spot for good reason, and it fills up quickly. Overall, a fantastic dining experience

First time in NY. AMAZING FOOD!!! Wow! Didn’t have a reservation, walked in on a Sunday night and ate at the bar. Zach waited on us. I had the green curry and my date had the Crying Tiger with garlic rice, both recommendations from the bartender. Perfectly cooked, hot, arrived quickly, flavorful. Excellent experience. Highly recommend!!! Christmas strawberry margaritas were two for one, not too sweet, and delicious.
