🐟 Khun Pla with Thai Herbs | The MVP of the Night 🌟
An entire whole Branzino fried to absolute perfection! The golden-brown skin is incredibly crispy, delivering a satisfying "crunch" with every bite, yet the flesh inside remains miraculously tender, juicy, and delicate. It comes buried under an avalanche of fresh Thai herbs, lemongrass, shallots, tomatoes, cashews, and kaffir lime leaves. Every mouthful is a masterful symphony of sour, sweet, salty, and spicy flavors playing on your tongue—bold, aromatic, and packed with the authentic soul of a Bangkok roadside seafood stall!

🦞 Lobster Pad Thai | A Visual & Culinary Feast
The visual impact when this dish hits the table is unmatched—a whole Boston lobster is generously laid right over the stir-fried noodles, boasting plump, springy, and firm meat. What’s truly impressive is the Pad Thai base; it is remarkably authentic, skipping the overly sugary adaptation often found locally to preserve the deep, rich, and tangy sweetness of real tamarind. On top of that, the wok-hei (breath of the wok) is incredibly intense! Once you toss in the crushed peanuts, chives, and a fresh squeeze of lime, the rice noodles soak up all the juices, making every bite unbelievably flavorful.

🐷 Moo Ping (Thai Street-Style Grilled Pork Skewers)
A quintessential Thai street food classic! The smoky, charcoal-grilled aroma is delightfully intense. The pork features just the right amount of marbling, glazed in a special sweet-and-savory marinade with beautifully charred edges. Dip it into the accompanying house-made spicy-sour sauce—it bursts with rich, savory juices upon the first bite. It's the ultimate finger food to munch on while chatting with friends.

Read great reviews online and this place did not disappoint! The food was delicious: the dumbo dumplings, lobster pad Thai and calamari were all amazing and the drinks (Thai iced tea and pea blossom lemonade) were tasty, too. The best part was the service. Kay was fun, honest with her recommendations and very attentive. Our daughter, after a few bites remarked, “I want to move here just for the food!” Will definitely be back the next time we’re in Brooklyn — but maybe for patio seating. Elephant District for the win!

Visited Elephant District while our parents were in town, incredible service and some of the best cocktails I've ever tried. Very creative & lively place, wouldn't hesitate to visit again. Many thanks to Kay for the incredible service she provided which contributed tremendously to our experience. We all left with smiles on our faces, and couldn't ask for anything more!

Yummy food and good service. I finished every last bit of my pork belly dish. The mango Thai iced tea was just okay as well as the sticky mango rice - these two items were more for show but not really exceptional. But the coconut soup was delicious. My husband said the crab fried rice was okay.

During my recent visit to Elephant District, I was impressed by the perfect combination of a cozy atmosphere and attentive service.
The restaurant's interior, adorned with charming images of cute elephants, exudes warmth, making it a welcoming space suitable for both casual dining and special events.
From the selection of appetizers, we tried the Papaya and Yum Pu Nim salad, which was wonderfully enhanced by a sauce that was truly flavorful and spicy. And of course, for the main course, we selected Lobster Pad Thai, which was exceptionally prepared, flaky, and seasoned to perfection. Additionally, it was served with a delightful, sweet paste.
The desert showcased a breathtaking display—accompanied by a small elephant—and the blend of mango and sweet rice provided an ideal ending to the meal.
I highly recommend Elephant District Thai restaurant, which boasts an incredible location right by the Brooklyn Bridge.

Came here with my BEAUTIFUL girlfriend for the first time and loved everything from the drinks to the food and the service.

The best drink on the menu is the Sri Mala - mango and pandan make it a delicious and perfectly balanced cocktail. Although we didn’t try everything, this drink alone is so good we’ll be back to try the rest of the unique and tasty drinks.

We ordered the Moo Ping (pork skewers) and Som Tum Thai (papaya salad) for starters. The pork skewers were perfectly cooked and the papaya salad was refreshing with the right amount of spice. We also ordered the Crying Tiger Steak and the Sam Praya (seafood trio curry). Steak was cooked nicely and the nam jim sauce was a wonderful complement. The curry was very light and flavorful, soft shell crab was so crisp and clean - we wish we took a photo but the food was so good we couldn’t wait! The scallops and shrimp were also perfectly cooked and garnished with fresh peppercorn.

And of course we had to end the meal with the mango sticky rice. Everything was so delicious but the service, especially Kay, made the experience even better…. The mango on top if you will.

While hanging out in BK, I randomly came across a Thai restaurant that turned out to be surprisingly good. The food tastes very authentic, just like local Thai flavors, and the decor really makes you feel like you’re in Thailand. I really liked this place and would definitely recommend it if you’re visiting BK. It’s right next to the Brooklyn Bridge, so the location is super convenient.

May have been the best Thai restaurant we’ve been to. Will definitely come back. Our waitress City was very nice. Beautifully decorated restaurant too. Highly recommend to anyone.
Had the Pad Thai, Seafood Curry, the mango chai tea. The Pad Thai noodles had the perfect texture and flavouring and came with two large prawns which complimented the noodles very well. The curry included some of the most juicy, well-cooked scallops we’ve ever had; not to mention the most delicious big soft shell crab. The mango chai iced tea
was so well-balanced; flavourful but also not too sweet, and didn’t know mango could compliment chai so nicely.

Elephant District — Brooklyn
Lunch l $$$

Elephant District has the kind of polished ease that’s immediately disarming. From the moment you step inside, the room feels warm and composed—stylish without being showy, inviting without trying too hard. It sets the tone for an evening where details matter.

The food arrives beautifully presented and confidently flavored, each dish balanced and thoughtfully executed. Freshness is evident across the menu, and the kitchen shows restraint where it counts—letting quality ingredients speak rather than overwhelming them. It’s the kind of cooking that feels considered and quietly luxurious.

But what elevates the experience from very good to memorable is the service. Our server, City, delivered hospitality with rare finesse. Warm, intuitive, and genuinely attentive, she guided the meal with spot-on recommendations and impeccable timing. She seemed to anticipate needs before they were voiced—water glasses never empty, transitions between courses seamless—creating a rhythm that felt effortless rather than orchestrated.

City’s presence brought a sense of calm confidence to the table, allowing the evening to unfold naturally, without interruption or pressure. It’s that subtle, almost invisible kind of service that defines truly great dining.

Elephant District succeeds where it matters most: excellent food, a welcoming atmosphere, and service that understands the art of restraint. It’s a Brooklyn dinner destination worth returning to—and one you’ll find yourself recommending without hesitation.
