I like coming here every now and then for the magnificent Blood Orange Margarita, it’s one of the best in the city, and perfect for the weather that’s coming, also the Nachos Mama wow… always delicious, especially if you add beef on it.

Honestly, this place exceeded my expectations! The steak tacos and short rib enchiladas were absolutely delicious super flavorful, filling, and paired perfectly with the sangrias. Personally, I loved the sparkling grapefruit sangria… so refreshing and easily my favorite. We also started with the classic chips and guacamole, which were amazing, and finished with the strawberry tres leches, which was truly divine.<br><br>You really can’t go wrong here. Our server, Zahra, was wonderful she gave great recommendations, was so accommodating when we had a bit of an issue with our table, and made sure we felt taken care of throughout the meal. The staff genuinely do their best to make sure you’re enjoying your experience, and that really stood out. Such a lovely experience overall we’ll definitely be back!

This place is pretty mediocre. Every time I come it seems like the waiters are too good to chat with certain people. Attitudes suck here even at the burrito bar section. They have a happy hour that makes no sense. Only beer and shots no cocktails unless you buy a $50 pitcher. I asked the server if there were no other cocktails on happy hour, she shrugged me off n walked away. The service doesn’t care either way. They use to be busy but it’s died down and I see why. I ended up going to PARM across the street and had a spicy marg and a aperol spriitz for $7.50 each. That or del friscos is way better of an experience. Better options and cooler people. Don’t waste your time.

One of the best Mexican food you can have in downtown NYC. Very close to path station and battery park. Loved the service. Go to place if you are around and want to have good time. Not very expensive. For two people you can expect bill for around $65-70 + tip (without drinks).

We stopped by just for a couple of drinks and ended up ordering the birria nachos - and wow, they were absolutely amazing.<br>But what impressed us even more was the service. Truly outstanding - attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience feel special.<br>Thank you guys for the great work, we’ll definitely be back!

Just finished a meal here with my spouse and we enjoyed ourselves greatly. The staff was warm and attentive and the food was as delicious as always.<br>We've actually been here quite a few times, and our favorite things to get are the chorizo fundido, the macho nacho, the shrimp tacos and the frozen blood orange margaritas. It's definitely one of our neighborhood go-tos. Today I decided to try a new margarita, the burnt grapefruit, and was glad I did. It was the perfect blend of sour and sweet and I ended up getting another one.<br>The only thing that was a slight bummer is that it seemed a substantially smaller volume next to their frozen blood orange marg, but is the same price. They have a very wide variety of flavored margaritas (as well as an enormous tequila selection), but only the blood orange comes frozen. I might humbly suggest that perhaps more of their on-the-rocks margs could possibly be made frozen?<br>Doesn't matter. We will definitely be back!

Food was so delicious I’m rating before I finish my meal. Omg!!! We had the Nacho mamas and biría tacos. Perfection!!! The margaritas were small but so tasty and perfectly made. Definitely recommend.

I wanted so badly for this to be a great experience! I met up with my bestie for dinner before catching a movie nearby. I’ve worked in this area for years but hadn’t been back in a while, and I know restaurants around here tend to change often. We spotted the sign for this place and decided to give it a try.<br><br>The bar area was jumping definitely a happy hour crowd but we were seated right away, which was a plus. The dining area was much calmer and nicely laid out. I really liked that there was plenty of space between tables, so it didn’t feel crowded.<br><br>After reviewing the menu, we were both surprised by how limited it was. Most Mexican restaurants usually offer a wider variety of options, but we decided to go with the chicken enchiladas. They only came with two no sides, so we added a side of rice and beans.<br><br>The food came out quickly and was hot, which we appreciated. However, we both felt like the enchiladas were a bit light on the chicken and honestly, the flavor was pretty underwhelming. What a bummer, because I really thought we’d stumbled on a hidden gem.<br><br>We didn’t get drinks or appetizers since we were short on time, but I will say the staff was friendly and the prices were reasonable for the area. I just wish the menu had more variety and the food packed a little more flavor.<br><br>We chose to rate them 3 stars because the restaurant was nice and the staff was pleasant. I wasn’t able to get a lot of pictures.

The highlight of the menu is Nacho Mama and Grilled Corn off the Cob. Both were really good and flavorful. Another good option would be the Black Bean Tlayuda which had a lot of ingredients and flavors but was a little less crispy. Overall good food, great service, friendly staff, and good environment. Would come again for the Nacho Mama and Grilled Corn.

Perfectly layered with gooey cheese, hearty beans, tangy vinagre onions, and just the right heat from the jalapeños. The crispy tortillas held up like champs under all that goodness, and the cheese was flawlessly melted.<br>For mains, I went with the fish tacos on corn tortillas (my personal favorite), and they were fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. My niece had the steak tacos and loved them so much she took the last one home for dinner—which, trust me, is high praise from her!<br>The vibe is always upbeat, and the service was friendly and polite without being overbearing. El Vez has been a longtime favorite of mine, and they continue to impress every time. The food is always flavorful and fresh, the prices are fair, and the vibrant atmosphere makes for a great dining experience. On my latest visit, I brought my family along, and we were seated right away—no reservation, no hassle. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and everything we ordered was spot on.<br><br>Highly recommend the churros to end the meal—they’re a must. This place remains one of the most reliable spots in the city.

To start off our waitress was nice at first but she seemed like she hated her job. Then when we payed with a card at the table we always leave a cash tip so when we clicked no tip for card she said this wasn’t a free establishment. We still tipped her even though she was rude to my partner.<br><br>The food was decent but nothing special. Just overpriced because it is NYC. The chicken enchiladas were average. The carne asada burrito was good. The chips and salsa were kind of pitiful for almost $9.<br><br>Unfortunately we will not be back to this establishment.
