Came with a group of friends to try this place because they’re known for their Dosa. Place was kinda empty when we went on a weekday but definitely a place where you can bring a large party. We got a variety of dosa, entrees, dessert and overall, everything was just okay. The potato filled dosa (rava dosa) was better than the original dosa. The sauces that came with it was pretty light, not too spiced as I was hoping. The soya dish we got was good. But overall it was kind of lacking flavor or spice compare to other India food I’ve had.

Dosa Delight is a delight. No but really, this is such a neighborhood spot. I know I'm not the guy to ask, but it's just true. Hits the spot every time. Everything super fresh and perfectly cooked.

Absolutely loved this place!

We were craving good Indian food, and boy did this place hit the mark!

We ordered their Signature Chur Chur Naan Thali and Masala Dosa!

Every componnent in the Chur Chur Naan thali was on-point! The dal makhani could have had more flavor, but it was not inedible which I have had at some other places in NYC.

The Masala Dosa was soo gooood! The flavor of the sambar and chutneys was onpoint and reminded me of home! The dosa was very crispy!

This place is a must try if you're craving authentic Indian food and the Indian dining experience!

Will definitely visit again!

Stopped by Dosa Delight for a quick lunch with my friend who was visiting from Boston. We ordered the Paper Masala Dosa and Chole Bhature. Overall, the food was good and the dosa was enjoyable, especially for a quick meal. The Chole Bhature was decent, but the chole could definitely be better in terms of flavor. The sambhar also needs some improvement. Still, a good spot for a casual lunch if you’re craving South Indian food.

Very mediocre food, ambience or service.
Never order idli or vada,
Was tasting like old batter, was not tasty.
Vada pav had wrong masala.

The prices are bit high for this kinda food and might just be running from older ratings.

It was our first time eating at Dosa Delight and the food was absolutely delicious!!! We have eaten in many Indian restaurants in NYC and by far it’s been our favorite. The taste, aroma of the food is amazing and had fresh ingredients. I love Indian spices but I am unable to tolerate spice level and I loved that they were able to make the dish extremely mild and another dish my husband wanted was spicy but it was a balanced spice. We are definitely returning to eat here. On another note the decor is lovely and chairs are so comfortable. The staff and manager were friendly and attentive to our needs. We give you 5 Star ⭐️ review! 😊🙏🏻 Thank you.

Service is pretty slow - considering it was pretty empty when we went.
The dosa was very crispy and thin. Very huge portion. The one in the photo was better than just plain dosa (forgot the name).
Considering the hype it was just ok.

Definitely one of the top 5 dosas I have tried! Giant, CRISPY, and not oily tasting. I’m a huge stickler for sambar that’s not too thick and daal-heavy, this hit the spot! It was my boyfriend’s first time having dosa and this was just the right one to impress him. The only recommendation I have is to provide an additional type of chutney.

We live around the corner and love Dosa delight!! We usually get one of the rava dosa's and thali platter - all so so good and flavorful! They recently renovated the inside as well making it feel much more elevated. Highly recommend and a fun experience to bring friends!

Awesome food. Crispy dosa. Absolute recommend.

Awesome server utsab dedicated to giving us best experience. He laid out the best menu items when asked (chili paneer masala dosa). And put no issues to our payment issues or cancelling part of our order when we were filled.

Place is absolutely a gorgeous hidden gem in Jackson heights

10/10 bringing my family over soon

All I took a picture of was the pondicherry dosa, before me and my friends got too excited and started eating. Super yummy. Very chic interior, and nice service. We also got bhuna soya, Chana masala, (which both came with rice) and pongal. To drink we had a lassi, lime soda, and chai. Yum!

I had an absolutely delightful experience at Dosa Delight in Jackson Heights. This charming and beloved restaurant serves up some of the most authentic and flavorful South Indian cuisine in the area, with its dosas being the star of the show. The variety of dosas and vegetarian dishes are cooked with fresh ingredients and packed with rich, satisfying flavors that make every bite memorable.
The ambiance is warm and inviting, a perfect blend of casual comfort and vibrant local energy, and the staff is friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive dining experience. Whether you’re stopping in for a cozy meal with friends or enjoying a flavorful vegetarian feast on your own, Dosa Delight delivers delicious food and generous portions that will leave you smiling.
I highly recommend this gem to anyone looking for a standout Indian meal in Queens truly a must visit spot that lives up to its delightful name!

This upscale restaurant serves dosa and other related items like idli and vada. The ambiance is cozy with low lighting, but the tables are placed so close together that you can overhear conversations from the party next to you, which is a major privacy concern.

The service was also lacking. Our waiter brought us the bill even before all our food had been served. It felt like they were trying to rush us out of the restaurant as quickly as possible, which is not the kind of service you expect from an upscale establishment.

Overall, I don’t think this place is worth the price. The dosas were mediocre, and the service was poor. I had better dosas at other smaller restaurants.

Response from the owner

Great click, thank you for the photos.

I’ve been coming to Dosa Delight for nearly a decade and the quality has been fantastic throughout. The menu is all vegetarian and so delicious, my carnivorous friends say you don’t miss the meat at all. People come for the crispy, table length paper masala dosa, and it is definitely a crowd pleaser with tender aloo masala filled inside. I also love the Indo-Chinese menu, which offers classic fusion dishes like Gobi Manchurian—battered cauliflower in a sweet and spicy sauce. I’d also recommend the Pondicherry dosa, which is served rolled up like dosa burritos. The dahi puri (crunchy yogurt filled spiced appetizers) are always a mind blowing flavor bomb to kick off the meal, and I’d also recommend a mango lassi to wash this all down. Six dishes came out to less than $20/person for a group of six. The entrees are good, but really just recommend going for the dosa, uttapam, and Indo Chinese that you can’t really find anywhere else! Highly recommend going to this fantastic restaurant, you will love every bite!
