Dish is easily the best caterer in New York and our go-to for every corporate event we host. Special shoutout to Alexa, who took care of every detail, turning our vision into reality so our team could stay focused on the event and our guests. The food is always outstanding, the staff is professional and friendly, and the service is incredibly reliable. No ask is too big and no detail is overlooked. We use Dish all the time because they never disappoint.

DISH is incredible!! We just had them cater our wedding, and we cannot rave about them enough. Alexa especially was an absolute joy to work with. From the tasting to the wedding she was professional and helpful while also being so friendly and engaging. She made us feel completely cared for, and she also was there day of the wedding to make sure everything ran so smoothly (which it did)!! Our guests absolutely cleared their plates, as did we. The staff at the wedding was also amazing, and the whole team was so flexible with last minute seating changes.<br>Truly an amazing experience working with them, thank you DISH!

Dish Food & Events was an absolute pleasure to work with for the 2026 Weeksville Spring Benefit. They were true partners and cheerleaders throughout a year-long process, helping us think through and execute every detail.<br><br>We’re huge foodies, and Alexa and the team absolutely rose to the challenge, helping us design, test, and perfect a fully custom menu. They incorporated thoughtful touches from both my partner’s and my background, resulting in a menu we were genuinely proud of and one our guests are still talking about. From Beef Wellington and mini lobster rolls to sticky toffee puddings, apple pies, and espresso martinis on the dance floor, Dish got it right and made it all happen seamlessly.<br><br>Beyond the food, the support with rentals and design choices for our venue (74 Wythe, also amazing) was invaluable. Alexa was always there to talk through our ideas honestly and help us understand what would work and what wouldn’t. When planning a wedding, you need a partner who tells it like it is, and Alexa did exactly that. For that alone, aside from everything else, we’re incredibly grateful.<br><br>The staff’s energy on the day was fantastic, dancing with our parents, leaning into the vibe of the event, and making it feel truly special. It was also worth every penny to have a Dish day-of coordinator, and we are immensely thankful for that support.<br><br>We walked into our wedding day feeling completely covered by Alexa and Dish, and we walked home afterward humbled by the care and dedication they put into making it even more special than we ever imagined. As a final and delicious touch, we even went home with a goodie bag of leftovers from our menu, an unexpected and much appreciated surprise.

From the moment we met Evalyn and her team, we knew Dish Food & Events was the company for us and our wedding. From our initial meetings all the way through until the last moments of our wedding day, they knocked it out of the park! My husband and I had a vision when planning our wedding that we wanted to incorporate both our cultures and personalities into the food and drinks we served our guests... This was not as easy as we thought it would be, mainly because of the million-and-one ideas we had. Sitting down with Evalyn helped to put all those details on a plate or in our drinks. The team came up with creative ways to present our vision to our guests that matched everything else we had in our plans, from custom passed appetizers to THE BEST SHORT RIB MOLE we had ever had, and to top it off, the service she and the team provided the day of the event was unmatched. Their attention to detail made all the special details come across all the more wonderful and enjoyable. If you need not only your wedding but also any other event, I would recommend Evalyn again and again. People always say, When you know, you know, " and from the very beginning, in meeting the team, we knew they would be the ones to execute, and execute they did. Evalyn and her team were phenomenal from the moment we sat down for the tasting. The food was amazing, their ideas and execution were even better. What really shocked us was how seamlessly they worked with all our other vendors, to make sure everything was perfect throughout our reception. Wish we could give more than 5 stars!

Dish Food & Events delivered flawless full-service catering, and event staffing at our open house on November 11th at LOFT39. Their attention to detail and exquisite menu execution are consistently top-tier. We love having them as preferred catering vendors for our clients at LOFT39 and would recommend them over and over and over again for any high-end catering requirement.

Dish really is the team you want on wedding day. Not only is their food tasty, but the service and love poured into their events is like no other.<br>We recently had the pleasure of working together and we experienced a glitch w/ the freight elevator at our venue. The Dish team pivoted fast and were able to make it happen. Evalyn, Alexa & AJ put together a delicious wedding for us. Their efforts went far beyond catering coordination. Everything from the first consultation call, to the tasting, and finally the wedding, was meticulous. Every question we had was addressed, and every change we asked for was done. We were so impressed with Dish’s professionalism, as were our guests. The food was amazing, the drinks were strong, and the service was seamless. Can’t wait to work with Dish for future events!

Dish is the BEST! We had the absolute pleasure of having Dish cater our wedding upstate at Arrow Park. The food was absolutely UNREAL and our guests left saying it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding! The staff was so lovely and warm, and they really listened and executed the menu we were wanting. Michael and Juliana were so helpful and easy to work with leading up to and on the day. I would use them again and again!!

Dish wowed guests with food that was, “not just good wedding food, but good food, period!” We were thrilled to hear this compliment multiple times over, good food being a shared passion of ours as a couple and our top priority for our wedding.<br><br>Dish impressed us from the get-go with a thorough proposal and descriptions of fun and delicious add-ons tailored to us as a couple, such as a pierogi bar for happy hour and a buffet of pies: we ultimately forewent a cake in favor of pastry chef Bianca’s delicious pies!<br><br>Chef AJ was enthusiastic about sampling the fish courses for us at our tasting: the bride is allergic to red meat, and it seemed cooking fish was as much a breath of fresh air for the caterer as it was for us as diners! And the food held up so well in transit between their Long Island City kitchen and our venue in Gowanus: all that wild striped bass was still beautifully moist when it was served!<br><br>Other guest favorites included the roast chicken, the tenderness of which was complimented many times over, and the polenta with mushrooms, which charmed everyone with its pitch-perfect execution. The staff Dish brought with them were so hardworking and kind, everything moved without a hitch thanks to their experience and professionalism.<br><br>Catering was by far our greatest investments in planning our wedding. There were a few hiccups during the planning process (as is natural), but the Dish team always bounced back with presence and attention, and inarguably delivered the delicious, elevated dining experience we’d hoped for our guests on the big day.<br><br>If you guys could just… maybe… share the recipe for the polenta? And the bass? …and the pie crust??? I don’t know how we’ll live when the leftovers are gone.

Dish is AMAZING. They catered our wedding celebration in May 2024, and we are absolutely overjoyed that we chose them - and specifically that we got to work with Julianna and Michael! My husband and I eloped, and planned this celebration a year later for 80 friends. Dish understood our "vision" of the night from the start - we wanted a relaxed and fun evening, with all of our favorite people and things. They made our favorite foods as the mains (tacos and pasta), with delicious and beautiful hors d'oeuvres, and sooo many incredible sides (the adorable cups of Caesar salad were a huge hit!). The food was absolutely perfect - we had so many unprompted compliments from our guests about the food throughout the night. Including our Nova Scotian friends absolutely loving the lobster rolls, and they would have been the harshest critics! Everything was somehow even more delicious than it was at the tasting. We also had a few gluten-free, dairy-free, and nut-free guests, and Dish had no problem either adapting or adding options to the dishes to ensure that there would be enough to eat for all the dietary preferences we threw at them! Julianna even made gorgeous signs (to match our wedding website!) that accompanied each food item to ensure no dietary mishaps.<br><br>We heard rave reviews from our guests about the bartenders and servers, and all the staff were so happy and personable. We have no idea how they managed to pull off so much behind the scenes while literally everyone seemed so cheerful, calm, and professional all night long. My husband and I were truly free to enjoy ourselves and be with our friends without a single thought to logistics, and there are no words for how much that meant to us. Extra thanks to Stella as well, our amazing night-of captain!<br><br>Beyond the delicious food, the entire experience working with Dish was full of incredible surprises that show just how thoughtful, prepared, and seriously GREAT AT THIS they are. From the moment we walked into the tasting (January 2024) and they had set up the Lobster and Rose cart as an extra surprise, until the very end of the event when they presented us with a tote bag full of thoughtfully and carefully packed containers with some of almost every single dish. They knew, even before we did, that leftovers are one of the best ways to relive the magic!<br><br>Julianna was truly a godsend every step of the way - menu choices; floor planning; advice on everything - rentals, furniture, DJ; brainstorming ways to make our poutine dreams come true; never forgetting a single detail mentioned in any interaction; and so, so much more. More than that - she did it all with SO much support and thoughtfulness. Dish felt like so much more than a caterer, they were genuinely partners in planning the wedding celebration of our dreams. We sincerely hope that there will be an opportunity to work with Julianna and Michael in the future - thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!

The one thing my now-husband and I agreed on fairly quickly in the wedding planning process is that food was our top priority. We both come from different backgrounds and wanted a vendor that could blend our cultures and provide elevated food that reflected us. Dish happened at the most perfect time – we were at our very first venue open house with nothing planned thus far and met with Evalyn during the peak of the pandemic (July 2020). She was so warm and engaging and the food at the open house looked amazing (we had to take it home because, pandemic). We came home, warmed everything up and were BLOWN AWAY by how good everything was! We’ve been to many weddings over the years and wedding food is always so mediocre, so to meet the very first vendor that totally upends the stereotype was mind blowing to us. We kept Evalyn in mind as we made some other major wedding decisions (mostly our venue and planner) before getting back to her. Our planner has worked with Dish and Evalyn, so we knew we were in good hands. From our very first tasting of our custom fusion menu, we knew Dish was our caterer. We met with Evalyn and Ryan and were totally blown away by both the food and hospitality! We planned our wedding over the course of two years and Evalyn always graciously answered our questions even when our wedding seemed so far off. When the time came to make rental and food decisions, Evalyn was an expert at curating everything for us based on our tastes and making the whole process as easy as possible. When we asked for another tasting before making our final decisions, she made sure we were able to come in to make our decisions two weeks out. The day of the wedding, everything was beyond perfect! As soon as our ceremony was over, Evalyn had our signature cocktails ready for us. All of our guests were raving about the food, from cocktail hour to dinner, and the service. I am seriously not kidding, we are still getting people raving about the food weeks later. This was exactly what we wanted! A custom, fusion menu that reflected us as a couple but was also delicious and was not “typical” wedding food. More importantly, Evalyn and the Dish team were there for every minute of the journey and were BEYOND all of our expectations. I hope we have many more occasions in our futures where we can cater with Dish! We are so lucky to have worked with Dish and to have them knock out one of the most important elements of our wedding day.

We had a fantastic experience with Dish, from the time we started talking to caterers to the wedding itself. We selected Dish because of their rave reviews, and because of their convenient day-of coordination service. Michael helped us with planning before the wedding and was an invaluable resource us. On the day, the food was amazing, and Jessica was a warm, reliable coordinator. They thought of all the small details we wouldn’t have considered. We had an excellent experience working with Dish Food & Events for our wedding. Heather Levine was our Day of Coordinator and helped us plan everything. From our very first phone conversation to the day of the wedding, she was always incredibly helpful, responsive, and went out of her way to make sure we were happy with everything. Due to the pandemic, we had to have our first tasting delivered to our home. Despite having to heat up the food ourselves, we were blown away by how delicious the food was. Luckily we were able to have our second tasting in person and had a great experience.<br><br>On the wedding day, the Dish staff did an amazing job with the setup and catering service (cocktail hour, plated dinner, cake, and passed desserts). Many of our guests commented on how delicious the food was and how the whole event flowed seamlessly. We attribute a huge part of our successful wedding to Dish and our wonderful Day of Coordinator, Heather. Highly recommend!
