Dinner at COTE Korean Steakhouse was simply outstanding.
I had the dry-aged Rib Eye, and the quality of the beef was exceptional — perfectly cooked, rich, flavorful, and unforgettable. The dish was served with unique salads and accompaniments, including fresh green leaves and sticky rice, allowing you to create your own small wraps with the meat. A fun and delicious experience.

Every bite was incredible, and the steak itself was truly wow.
I paired the meal with an excellent Napa Valley red wine, which complemented the beef perfectly.

Great atmosphere, professional service, amazing wine program, and absolutely worthy of its Michelin recognition. One of the best steak experiences I’ve had in New York.”

First time coming to COTE Korean Steakhouse, and we had an amazing experience. We started with drinks and the steak tartare with caviar, which was excellent. For the main course, we ordered four different cuts along with the kimchi Wagyu paella—everything was delicious.

I definitely recommend coming here. Our waitress was fantastic, and we had so much fun talking with her. It’s moderately loud, but perfect for a night out with friends. Will definitely be back soon!

Probably one of my best meals in NYC, without a doubt the best steak. I’m a big fan of Simon and we arrived very excited.

However, the arrival experience was not at the same level. We had a 10:30 pm reservation and arrived 30 minutes early. Initially we were 5, but we adjusted to 4 to avoid delays. Even so, we ended up being seated more than an hour after our reservation time.

During that time we asked several times and were only told “soon”, while we saw other parties who arrived after 10:30 pm being seated before us. I understand that things can happen operationally, but there was a lack of communication and no apology for the delay.

The positive side is that Carlos, our server, was excellent. He handled the situation with great professionalism, truly turned the experience around, and even offered us courtesies. He is outstanding at what he does and represents the level of service you expect from a place like this.

I’m sharing this so it can be reviewed, because the food and service at the table are absolutely worth it, but the reservation and seating management should be improved so this doesn’t happen to other guests.

Total (before tip) for two people 03/2026: $471.44
Kingpin drink: $24
ZBiotics drink: $11
Butcher’s Feast (for 2): $164
A5 Wagyu tasting (for 2): $170
Steak & Eggs (2): $64

COTE absolutely lives up to the hype, but it’s definitely a splurge.

The portions are generous, and the experience is clearly designed with sharing in mind. This is one of those places where going with a group gives you the best value and variety as just the 2 of us couldn't finish all the sides. The Butcher’s Feast is a great baseline, but adding the A5 Wagyu tasting takes it to another level.

Highlights: the hanger steak was incredibly flavorful, and the Kobe wagyu from the Wagyu flight was the best. It was rich, buttery, and worth trying at least once in your life (or every time you go).

Service was polished and attentive, and the whole experience felt elevated without being overly stiff.

One thing to note: it’s surprisingly difficult to get a reservation for just two people (you can only book the first time slot 5PM or after 10:45PM) and those time slots disappear fast as soon as they open. Larger parties seem to have more availability, so if you’re planning ahead, it may actually be easier (and more fun) to go with a group.

Exquisite experience from beginning to end. The staff does an excellent job explaining the parts of the course.
The beef was cooked exceptionally. The variety and quality of the banchan offered was a plus!

The amount of beef introduced for the meal initially did not seem like enough for two people, but by the end we were more than stuffed 🤭

PS the Miso Salted Caramel topped Vanilla Ice Cream was a delectable way to end the meal.

We were a group of 6 that had the butcher’s feast. The cuts were delicious and the server was excellent and knowledgeable. The sides were great too (I particularly liked the okra and the egg soufflé thing). The soy sauce ice cream was silly but tasted ok.

However the atmosphere wasn’t for me. The ‘nightclub’ aspect causes confusion because you have to cut through the dance floor to get to the washrooms. It’s loud and dark, making it hard to appreciate the food and company. The booths were made to comfortably seat 6 but it’s just not possible to create any memories this way.

If you can manage to snag a reservation here, don't hesitate. COTE was fantastic. The Butcher's feast was very reasonably priced and featured a great variety of steaks and banchan (side dishes). The steaks were cooked to perfection. A small soft-serve cup capped off the meal. Staff were very attentive and friendly. I can't wait to go back :)

One of the best dining experiences ever. I came with my partner and my best friend from out of town. Not only was I able to celebrate my birthday here, but my friend got to experience a lot of firsts!

We splurged and got the Steak Omakase, and got a little too excited with 12 lychee martinis. They're to die for. Of the two sides they offer for the omakase, I suggest the hot one over cold (I don't remember the names) cold one is just a bit too intense with flavor, and hot is surprisingly smooth despite having anchovy. The caviar dish was really harmonious and delicious, wasnt fishy at all. The meat selections really out done themselves, every one had a unique taste, by the last 3 cuts, I wasn't even bothering to eat them as lettuce wraps and just ate them alone (we sometimes added additional salt). All of the staff were very kind and professional. It was very loud, you kind of had to shout to talk, but it added to the boisterious vibe. By the end, our bill was about $1k before tip (omakase was about $230 per person if I recall correctly). Easily by far the most expensive meal I've ever witnessed, but with such good company, and delicious food, it was hard to regret.

Great experience - it's Michelin starred Korean BBQ, so the price is going to reflect that. However, the amount of food you get for $78 per person with the butcher's feast is excellent. All it the meats were incredibly delicious, the ban chan dishes were numerous and tasty, and it was nice to have a scoop of ice cream included at the end for a sweet finish. Definitely would recommend if you're looking for a good value Michelin experience and like kbbq.

An outstanding dining experience at COTE Korean Steakhouse.

The quality of the beef was exceptional. Perfectly marbled, expertly cooked, and deeply flavorful, each cut reflected a high level of sourcing, technique, and respect for the ingredient. From the grill to the table, everything was executed with precision and confidence.

The service was equally refined and thoughtful. Knowing my son is about to begin a new chapter of his life in New York, the team surprised us with a meaningful gift and a beautifully presented fruit plate. Throughout the evening, we were met with genuine warmth, encouragement, and kindness.

In the cold of a New York winter, COTE offered not only an excellent meal, but a moment of humanity and connection. A truly memorable experience.

An exceptional dining experience from start to finish. The quality of the meat is outstanding—beautifully marbled, expertly sourced, and grilled to perfection right at the table. Each cut is flavorful on its own, and the curated butcher’s feast is especially worth it for first-timers.

Service is polished, attentive, and knowledgeable without being overbearing. The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between upscale and energetic, making it ideal for special occasions or an elevated night out. The banchan and sides are thoughtfully prepared and complement the meal well, and the wine list is extensive and well-curated.

Pricey, but absolutely worth it for the quality, service, and overall experience. One of the best steak-focused meals in NYC.

We visited COTE for a Thanksgiving lunch while traveling from California, and it truly exceeded every expectation. We ordered the Thanksgiving preset menu, and the experience from start to finish was flawless.

The meal opened with a turkey dumpling in a clear, soothing broth—simple, elegant, and the perfect warm beginning on a cold and windy Thanksgiving Day in New York. From there, each course showcased COTE’s signature balance of Korean flavors and elevated steakhouse finesse. The progression of dishes was thoughtful, beautifully plated, and incredibly satisfying.

The meats were outstanding—perfectly marbled, expertly grilled, and full of rich flavor. Each bite reminded us why COTE is one of the most celebrated restaurants in Manhattan. The side dishes and accompaniments were equally memorable, complementing the main courses without ever overwhelming them.

Service was impeccable. The staff was warm, attentive, and knowledgeable, guiding us through the menu with ease and making us feel truly welcomed on this holiday. The ambiance added to the experience as well: modern, stylish, and buzzing with that New York energy, yet still comfortable enough for a special Thanksgiving meal.

This was more than just lunch—it was a holiday memory we’ll cherish. Highly, highly recommend COTE for anyone looking for an elevated dining experience in Manhattan.

More like 3.7-3.8/5.

The vibe at COTE NYC was absolutely on point, stylish, energetic, and perfect for a night out. We tried the Butcher's Feast, which honestly looked better than it tasted. The quality was fine, but overall pretty mid for the hype. Service was a mixed bag: the suited staff were attentive and professional, while the team actually handling the meat seemed a bit disengaged. We also tried literally all the cocktails on the menu, and my favorite was Baseball Furies. Highly recommend giving it a try!

One thing to mention is that the kimchi stew and soybean soup were both overly salty, and we ended up asking for some hot water to balance them out. For the price point, it was disappointing that the soups were served in chipped pots (soup was even leaking from a crack). It's definitely something they should replace soon, especially considering how much people are paying.

Tbh, COTE is over-priced.. there are definitely better Korean BBQ spots in NYC. It was fun to try once for the experience, but one time was enough.

We tried the Butcher’s Feast at Cote and really enjoyed it. Everything felt well thought out—from the service to how the food was paced. It’s definitely on the pricier side, but it’s more of an experience than just dinner.

The meat was cooked perfectly and the flavors were spot on. I liked almost all the sides, especially the okra, egg soufflé, and the barbecue sauce. The scallion salad was also really good and added a nice balance to the meal.

We also got the Yobo soju, which was smooth and tasty, though a bit expensive.

Overall, Cote was a great experience with excellent food and service. Pricey, yes, but worth it for a special night out.
