So i had a meet up at this location and at 1st glance you wouldn't expect what you're walking into.. the doors open and its another world, the place is spacious, clean, decor is nice.. you have glass and strobes and big screens to view games and the music with the live dj is a great bonus... I was blown away by the decor.. now lets talk about the food... my patron and i both had the fish tacos, being it was taco Tuesday, and honestly it could've been better...there was little meat, and alot of heat coming from them...no sauce to kinda moisten the tacos...let change that code red...offer a sauce please...ok kool and we also had a order of Mac and cheese balls, which were honestly the best of the night. My friend ordered the ackee and saltfish something..but I didn't try it..she liked it.. and the star of the night had to be the rum punch drink that we both ordered...it definitely had a lil kick, no skimping on the rum...overall the night was good and we had a good vibe going...music was on point, lights and the knicks won!!! Would i recommend, absolutely yes!!! You gotta go experience it for yourself...its a dope vibe... keep doing what you doing code red...BLESSINGS 👏

Atmosphere: Is spectacular and live. The music list was playing jams and then the live DJ after 9pm created moments.<br><br>Food: It took a lot for me to have patience, the food was a little slower than expected, but good nonetheless.

Code Red did not disappoint! The food was flavorful, fresh, and perfectly cooked. The oxtail lo mein was hands down my favorite, packed with rich flavor and tender oxtail in every bite. The lobster tail was another standout, cooked perfectly and seasoned so well. Everything came out hot and the portions were great. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to!

Came all the way from Brooklyn and went here for my homegirls birthday on a Tuesday and I got mixed reviews about this place. My main concern was how rude the whole staff was. The man opening the door was probably the nicest person! The server had an attitude, barely greeted us, literally showed no emotion. My friend ordered a margarita tower, IT CAME 75% ICE AND 25% MARGARITA. When I brought it back to the bar, even that server had an attitude she didn’t even apologize. Why should we pay $118 for ice!? Absolutely not. She did bring it back with more margarita after about 10 mins. Now to the food. I ordered an appetizer which was jerk chicken spring rolls and baked Mac & cheese with oxtail. I’m so mad I didn’t take a photo of the spring rolls but I was in such disbelief, they are tiny now I understand the word “appetizer” but that was a snack for my 4 year old. They didn’t even taste good. However the main course of baked Mac with oxtail was delicious, the atmosphere was nice, good music live DJ (even though he kept lowering the music) TVs playing sports, and the hookah was okay definitely could of been better. Will not be returning ever again.

We came out celebrating my sis’s birthday and glad such a great time. Georgia was our server and she was great. We came all the way from Philly to come to the brunch. The dj was everything that was needed. He kept the crowd engaged and had everybody singing and dancing. Such a vibe. Highly recommended

I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while because the reviews looked promising and the food looked good online. Unfortunately, it was disappointing. The steak was burned and completely tasteless. I didn’t even bother sending it back because everything took a long time to come out including the drinks.<br><br>The most decent items we had were the tacos. we ordered the oxtail and shrimp tacos. The music and the tacos are what made me give this place 3 stars.

I recently went to Code Red Restaurant & Lounge it was a good experience with a few mixed notes.<br>The atmosphere was excellent—great vibes, lively crowd, and the music really set the tone for a vibe fill night out. If you’re looking for a place to enjoy good energy and unwind, Code Red definitely delivers on that front.<br>The drinks were a highlight of the night. I had the rum punch, and it was strong just like i like it. Definitely one of the better drinks I’ve had in a lounge setting.<br>As for the food, I ordered the curry goat with mashed potatoes and an oxtail taco. While the dishes were decent, they didn’t quite stand out the way I expected.<br>Code Red is the place for the drinks, music, and atmosphere

This restaurant is really fun and had a great dj, the food was okay and the drinks were good and strong. The food was more spice than flavor, which some may prefer but it made the food not enjoyable. However this place needs to decide if they want to be a bar or a restaurant. They cannot manage both. They neglected food service to remain a bar atmosphere. I was there for 3hrs. It took 20 minutes to get drinks, an hour to get appetizers and we never received main entrees, tables that came after us were getting food before us. We ended up leaving hungry and disappointed.

Went last week and absolutely loved this spot! Chill vibes, super affordable $8 happy hour, and the food was juicy and delicious. Special thanks to the manager, Monique, for organizing everything for us! They’re such great people! Definitely coming back whenever I’m in the area :)

I found this place on instagram and ended up going the week of my birthday. I was not disappointed! Just like the videos on their Instagram page no lie! My hostess name was Ayanna F. She made me honestly feel like i was at home. My family is Jamaican so the area being Gun Hill majority Jamaican and Caribbean made me feel really at home. It was a full house i liked that it showed they get alot of crowd but her hospitality was through the roof she made sure we had everything we asked for and more. She made us feel like it was just us there she recommended the Lemon Drop and it sure did drop me lol i had a great time me and my boyfriend appreciate and love how we were treated there. Will be back soon. The decor is amazing and enough room to lowkey be a dancedfloor. It did become a dancedfloor once the DJ announced all the birthday people and played some good tunes. I came all the way from Hollis Queens (Bianca) the birthday girl Ayanna if you're reading this i really appreciate the hospitality and stay awesome you were 10 out of 10. We will be back soon! The pictures don't do the place enough justice really a top tier caribbean restaurant. As a daughter of former Jamaican restaurant owners this was fire recommend to everyone. Thanks Again CodeRed

Our server Georgia was sweet and even though we waited long for out food, she maintained us up to date and checked in on us. The drinks were delicious as well. I recommend the Bahama mama.
