Great for breakfast but be mindful of wait time. Buttermilk biscuit sandwich, blueberry pancake and brioche French toast are all amazing! Warm maple butter is a tasty bonus! Clean place, fast service.

Brunch at Clinton St. Baking Company was a really nice experience overall 🥞✨ We tried the blueberry pancakes, French toast, and the coffee with free refills, which was such a fun touch.

The food was definitely good and everything matched the expectations for a classic NYC brunch spot. The service was also very friendly, which made the experience even better.

That said, I would probably not give it a full five stars, as it didn’t completely blow us away overall - still very solid though.

One very important tip: definitely make a reservation. There was already a line outside before opening, and it gets very busy. With our reservation, we could go straight in, which made everything much smoother.

Price-wise, it’s pretty standard for New York. Overall a good brunch spot and worth visiting at least once 🥞☕️✨
Still don’t know why the pancakes are super popular and everyone says it is a must try. Anyways, I listened them and today I did try. They are tasty ok but not not super. I mean pancake is pancake. Of course some places make horrible pancakes but I had as delicious as this one before. Service is good. People are friendly. Nice New York vibe. I went there on a weekday morning around 9 am so there was no line no wait time. Probably you wait a lot if you go at weekends. $29.40 (without tip) is a bit pricey for pancake since it has no protein nothing but main ingredients flour, sugar etc. I will go back to try other dishes and make another review.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Flawless Breakfast at Clinton Street Baking Company!

If you are looking for the ultimate comfort food breakfast, this is it. I had an absolutely incredible meal here, and I cannot recommend it enough.

The Food
Everything we ordered was spectacular. The kitchen serves up incredibly generous and beautifully presented portions.

Pancakes with Warm Maple Butter: We ordered these with the wild Maine blueberry topping, and they were a total dream. It's a fluffy, thick stack loaded with fresh, delicious pancakes and a mountain of vibrant blueberries. The signature warm maple butter on the side is pure perfection. We also paired it with a side of Biscuit w/ Butter & Jam, which was flaky and delicious.

Fried Chicken & Waffles: This dish featured a perfectly crispy Belgian vanilla buttermilk waffle topped with a cage-free breast drizzled in a sweet and spicy honey-tabasco sauce. It’s served with more of that incredible signature warm maple butter. The chicken was beautifully golden and exceptionally crispy without being heavy.

Service & Experience
Beyond the fresh, delicious pancakes and waffles, I was blown away by how speedy the service was. Even with a full house, our food arrived quickly, piping hot, and our drinks stayed refilled.
An absolute 5 star experience from start to finish. I will definitely be back!
Solid brunch spot — expect to line up if you don’t have a reservation. Estimated wait time on a Sunday morning was 3-4 hours.

Solid brunch menu and good coffee. They have a seasonal menu, which was tempting. Reasonable portion sizes.

Not life changing, but a very decent American style brunch spot.
Very crowded, wait for a seat (though I went with a regular which made it easier). Old-style booths that are tight for those who are tall (or sitting across with someone tall like I was).

Their pancakes - excellent, and they often have different flavors. They have a pancake month in February, I think, where they do new flavors all the time, but our visit in April was still good with cherry and whipped creme on crumbles. Good for sharing. Also liked the biscuits w/ butter to start, too.

Quick with refills for water and coffee and clearing unused plates. Good bacon, too. Solid breakfast pick but you could wait. Don't get the salad. The chicken and waffles was just ok... chicken lacked much flavor for me and just reminded me of a big chicken tender.
Came here on a Saturday at 10am, was put on a waiting list with estimate dine-in time of 1hr15mins. No outside queues but they put you in reservation list instead. So I'd advise either going before opening time or just arrive early to put your name in waiting list and come back later.

Pancakes were very good, and imo better than the "Golden Diner" place everyone's raves about.

There's also a takeaway option available if you really want to try the food. You might be lucky and fund some outdoor public sitting area to eat. The pancakes, I saw the blueberry and sauce put in a separate container for takeaway so looks equally nice if you don't want to wait in queue to dine-in.
NYC might have the BEST pancakes 🥞 I’ve had…no joke.

I took my parents and my girl to Clinton St. Baking Company, and this place is different.

🍽️We got pancakes, chicken and waffles, and huevos rancheros but the pancakes? Soft, warm, fresh off the stove…perfect texture.

Vibes are straight NYC 🗽cozy, busy, posters everywhere.

Quick tip: make a reservation or you’re waiting forever⏳

8/10… I’m coming back.
Just WOW!!!
The most delicious indulgent food!! I’ve been wanting to try this place for ages as so many of my friends rave about it. We were super lucky to get a reservation through Resy for an early dinner.
The service was warm and welcoming, attentive and to the point.
The food was just exceptional!! Best chicken burger I’ve had and the pancakes just the lightness fluffiest I’ve ever had.
I have been craving these pancakes since.
The best ingredients made with lots of love. Thank you Clinton St Baking Co!!
I had a good overall experience at Clinton St. Baking Company, though I was expecting the food to be a bit better.

The Spanish eggs and hash browns didn’t quite hit the mark for me- they lacked flavour and the peppers made the dish a bit watery. The blueberry pancakes were nice, but not the best I’ve ever had. The standout was definitely the chicken waffles, which were great. Coffee was decent too.

The staff were very friendly and attentive, and it’s clearly a popular, busy spot.

Overall, I’d probably recommend it, but it’s not somewhere I’d personally go out of my way to return to.
Amazing breakfast choices. The pancakes may be the best I've ever had. Only downfall is how crowded this place is. I'd still go back though. Love love love!
The food, especially blueberry pancake, is definitely great and is worth the price. YET, the wait time is abysmal. We went there at 8 30am on a Sunday and had to wait over an hour to get a bar seat lol
Food was good but definitely need a reservation, otherwise the wait time is insane, it's not worth the long wait. We ordered Spanish Omelette, chicken and waffles, and country breakfast, with a blueberry pancakes to share. The blueberry pancakes was so good. Not too sweet and just a hint of tart from the blueberry. The other dishes were good but nothing outstanding. Definitely get the blueberry pancakes.
I went for brunch with my son. He ordered the apple pie waffle topped with caramelized apples, whipped cream, and a fried chicken breast ( which was pretty good). I had the biscuits with cheddar eggs and chicken sausage (not so good). The service was quick, which I appreciated.

However, I didn’t like that there’s a $25 reservation fee that does not go toward your bill …that felt misleading. The space inside is also pretty tight and crowded, tables are very close together.

In an economy this expensive, Clinton Street Baking Co. is definitely not for the people. A $25 reservation fee that doesn’t go toward the bill is wild to me.
If there’s one NYC spot that truly lives up to its breakfast reputation, it’s Clinton St. Baking Company. I finally tried their famous pancakes this weekend, and let me tell you.. they deserve every bit of the hype. Fluffy, lil crispy on outside, and served with their homemade maple butter sauce that’s honestly addictive.. it’s what makes this dish so uniquely delicious.

We also ordered the raspberry yogurt cupcake (light, tangy, and perfectly balanced) and their fried chicken, which was crisped to perfection with a beautiful honey dressing and some hot sauce that tied everything together. Every bite felt like comfort food done right. Simple ingredients, but executed flawlessly.

The best part? Despite it being a weekend morning, I didn’t have to wait in the infamous line (which can get really long). I booked ahead on Resy, and it made the experience seamless, definitely recommend doing that if you’re planning a visit.

Bottom line: come hungry, book ahead, and don’t skip the pancakes. They might just be the best in NYC
