My boyfriend and I had a beautiful date night on the rooftop here! Our waitress Ramita was an absolute gem and between her and the hostesses, the atmosphere was perfect. Highly recommend!

First time I've ever stopped by here and I wasn't disappointed. The bartenders were awesome and made my experience even better. They had some awesome frozen cocktails and a nice selection of wines. I tried the truffle fries which were pretty good, but the risotto balls were 10/10 I highly recommend those. Spent the afternoon into evening on the roof just vibing. Seating was okay for the most part, and I liked the lounge area they have near the stairs it's good for a bigger group of people. Staff was friendly on the first floor as well, and the bathrooms were very clean which was a plus for me. I got to see a beautiful sunset on the rooftop. The view over the Hudson was really nice. I will say the food and drinks were a little pricey for me, but not bad because you definitely get your money's worth for the quality you get. I'd definitely recommend this spot if you happen to be at the pier and just wanna relax, grab a drink and a little something to eat, or just enjoy the views. I'll definitely be coming back again.

Stunning rooftop with very funky melodic house tunes (think Fred Again), perfect for sunset drinks and small eats. We had the watermelon and feta salad, Risotto balls (incredible - basically arancini in a red sauce), and the bar staff on the rooftop kindly swapped the Chardonnay in the martini twist to St Germain for me - best martini I’ve had in my life. Would love if the rooftop was able to serve in glass tho. But otherwise epic service, food, drinks, views right on the Hudson overlooking Pier 23. A must stop

I had such a great time at City Vineyard! The atmosphere is beautiful with incredible waterfront views, and the food and wine were absolutely delicious. It’s the perfect spot to relax, enjoy good music, and spend time with friends.<br><br>What really made the experience stand out was the service. The manager Justin was honestly one of the most amazing and welcoming people I’ve met at a restaurant. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect and that everyone felt taken care of.<br><br>You can tell he really cares about the guests and the overall vibe of the place. Because of him, the whole experience felt even more special.<br><br>Highly recommend City Vineyard if you’re looking for great food, great drinks, and top-tier hospitality. I will definitely be back!

We were visiting from Australia and could not recommend this place more! One of the highlights of our trip, amazing food with an ever better view at sunset. Thanks to our server Justin who made the experience even more unforgettable, we hope to be back! Make this a must-do on your trip.

My husband and I celebrated Valentine's day here. We were able to experience a great performance and the service was good as well. We really enjoyed the wings and the truffle fries, they were delicious. The seating was on a first come/first serve basis which was a hassle but overall it was a nice time.

This review pertains to a dining experience during the winter season.<br><br>Our party was seated on the rooftop within a well-insulated dome, which accommodates up to 8 individuals, although slightly cramped for larger groups. Despite its effective insulation against the cold winter air, the dome's limited ventilation led to stagnant air quality, resulting in the circulation of carbon dioxide among diners.<br><br>Furthermore, the materials used in the dome's construction when heated by the portable heater, it may pose respiratory risks for individuals with pre-existing health conditions. Notably, restroom facilities are not available on the rooftop, necessitating a descent to the main entrance.<br><br>Nonetheless, the panoramic views of the Hudson River and downtown financial district skyline were truly breathtaking. Our server demonstrated exceptional attentiveness and courtesy, earning high praise. The cuisine and beverages served were indeed of high quality.<br><br>Considering these factors, this establishment would be an excellent choice for a lunch or dinner engagement during the warmer months.

What a phenomenal Sunday evening we had, having the back rooftop patio almost all to ourselves for my partner’s birthday!<br><br>And whoever was the Black gentleman who worked upstairs keeping the back of the rooftop patio clean and organized — I’m not sure I’d ever seen someone so dedicated to his shift. We were a group of 13 and so we put some of the tables together (it is first-come, first-served on the upstairs patio). He pointed out where we could grab more chairs if needed, and asked us to leave the remainder of the tables for other people. Then whenever people came upstairs and got seated, he would arrange the remaining tables and chairs so there would always be an open spot for whoever would arrive next! There is no waiter service upstairs, but he did also offer to take our trash to help keep our table neat.<br><br>We stayed for a few hours long after the gorgeous, fiery sunset was gone. What a chill and memorable location! You can order food to-go from the dinner menu at the downstairs bar and bring it up in a cardboard container. Amongst the table, we had truffle fries, the burger, the lobster roll, and some flatbreads…. It all looked and tasted great!<br><br>Additionally, the one bartender downstairs was so friendly as well! Great crew on both floors last Sunday!<br><br>I’d never been to this location before, but the vibe, service, and food was exactly what I was hoping for for this surprise party.

City Vineyard has a beautiful view and great food. I had the salmon with chickpea salad, and I loved it! Ramita provided excellent customer service; she was super friendly and made me feel comfortable. It’s a wonderful place to enjoy a nice meal!

Grateful for a decent place along the water to watch the sunset. I just wish... and maybe I'm the only one... that there was some place with no music? Food was decent, we got the cheese and charcuterie plus a couple of wine flights, very reasonably priced and pleasant.

Delicious food in a gorgeous waterfront setting. Can’t speak to the drinks but my parents seemed to like theirs. The entire place is dog friendly, and there are outdoor seating options on the patio and the roof, as well as indoors, all with a view of the water from what I could see. Very spacious place in a serene setting. The staff was welcoming and service was quick, but not rushed. The hostess made sure to explain that one area did not offer table service, one area didn’t have the full restaurant menu, etc, which was appreciated. Would absolutely come back again!

Cute restaurant on Hudson with beautiful view! We sat on rooftop to enjoy a view of west manhattan and catch last warm days.<br>We ordered Cesar salad with chicken, for drinks Aperol Spritz. Bartender was super nice and his drinks which he made for us were AMAZING!!!! Highly recommended!

I will start off with the strengths. The scenery helps to make this place really cute. The pier on a sunny day is really its on little vibe. City winery is a big space, indoors and outdoors. Saturday was a beautiful day, so it was crowded. Even with reservations, we waited more than 30 minutes to be seated for our table. We enjoyed the salmon but not so much the chickpeas on the dish, the truffle fries, oysters, sliders and Cesar salad. It was a large party. The drinks were decent. It's known for wine but most of the group drank cocktails. Unfortunately, the service was not the best even though the waitress tried. We waited for water. We did not receive cutlery for our meals when they first arrived. We waited maybe 15 mins after being seated for someone to check in on us and take our order. Perhaps it was just a busy day but the service was noticeable. If you have not been I would give it a try and manage your expectations. We were seated inside. The rooftop was really crowded but people were having a good time.

Nice restaurant by the pier that offers a view on the river. They have outdoors areas if you want to enjoy the sun. I went there with my friends for brunch and the quality and size were good. We went for the salmon Benedict and shrimp avocado toasts and both were great choices. Only downside: when seated outdoors you have to order drinks and food at the bar which does not make sense for a restaurant…
