Chicken Lovers

I had already been treated rudely here once before, which was enough for me to decide not to come back and instead take my business elsewhere. Therefore, this review is on behalf of my older parents.<br><br>Unfortunately, my parents recently decided to order from here. They received a confirmation that their order was ready for pickup, along with a confirmation number. However, when they arrived, the young man acting as manager at the front was incredibly rude and dismissive. Rather than trying to help resolve the issue, he insisted that they never received the order, despite my parents having proof that it had been confirmed and marked as ready.<br><br>Mistakes happen, but what really stood out was the lack of professionalism and basic courtesy. Customers should not be spoken to in such a disrespectful manner when they are simply trying to pick up an order that the restaurant confirmed was ready.<br><br>There are plenty of other local businesses that value their customers and provide much better service. Save yourself the frustration and take your business elsewhere. In fact, I much prefer Danny’s Grill—the food tastes better, and the customer service is significantly more pleasant than the low life working the cashier area.

I usually have had good experiences with them but this time got me disappointed. It was all burnt and the portion of the meat is not what I have seen for the last few years

Super busy place on weekends for take out. It's not uncommon for them to stop answering the phone when they're sold out. Over the years the place has gotten quite lax, not sure if it's the same owners from 20 yrs ago. The place feels greasy and grimy. A bit of mess at a busy place can sometimes be overlooked if the food is superb, but the past couple of times this year we ordered family meals and the chicken was very dry. Maybe over cooked a bit. Good thing is they give you enough sauce to to drench it in. The grill flavor was definitely very strong and permeated the chicken. Sides were good. Such a shame it's not as good as it used to be, Used to be "the" spot for great chicken but no longer is for us

Hands down one of the best BBQ spots in Queens. The ribs and the chicken were on point. I absolutely love their green sauce and the best combo with my favorite side dish cucumber. Best rich meats after workout.

I went here for the first time and got the family meal of a whole chicken, a whole rack of ribs and rice for all four sides. The chicken and ribs were both so juicy, tender, and flavorful. They were grilled to perfection. I thought the yellow rice was going to be some plain rice. I was wrong, it has onions in it and it was fluffy and flavorful. It was a perfect compliment to the meats. The green sauce was very good too. It has a small kick to it. The pita bread was also good. Overall the food was amazing. My wait was an hour for the food. But I did go on a Friday during lunch. I ate the food and caught the itis. That’s how good it was lol.<br><br>Parking is a nightmare here so be prepared for that if you drive.

Tried it for the first time. Food is delicious. The aroma of bbq chicken and spare ribs just makes you even more hungry. The place was packed especially for takeout. There’s a 15 minute wait but well worth it. You will not be disappointed.

I visited Chicken Lovers many years ago, and honestly, it didn’t leave much of an impression back then.<br><br>However, I recently came back and was genuinely surprised. The chicken was very flavorful, and what stood out the most was that even the chicken breast was tender and not dry at all.<br><br>We ordered a whole chicken with two side dishes: corn and cucumber salad. The corn tasted like it was from a can and didn’t have much flavor, but the cucumber salad was fresh, slightly sweet, and really refreshing—it balanced the richness of the chicken nicely.<br><br>Overall, it’s much better than I remembered, and I would definitely come back again.

Sorry for the late picture, couldn’t resist but to dig in before I rated chicken lovers. I have been going here for years. The ribs are great and they fall right off the bone. The chicken is also really good. The green sauce pairs with everything pretty well. I highly recommend this place to anyone in New York. My go to is a half off rack of ribs with two sides. Usually Mac and cheese and the red skin potatoes. 5 ⭐️ all day!

It’s like summer bbq but better! Flavorful, juicy fresh grilled chicken with very generous portions, tasty sides… the charcoal flavor was so good and that green sauce… I don’t know what’s in it, but I wished I ordered more! Amazing lunch specials! Only $13.5 for 1/2 chicken, 2 sides and a drink!

The ribs was good, however they don't cook them until they look like they have been on a grill. I had to go home and make my ribs brown. They look too white for me. As for flavor it was decent. Next time I will tell them to cook them until they are brown.

Been a customer since 2006 and this used to be the standard for chicken and ribs but they’ve fallen very hard. Bad customer experience and chicken is terribly dry most times. Ribs and green sauce are still good.<br><br>They’ll take preorders only to purposely sell your portion to someone else because all they care about is selling out. It’s happened to me 3 separate times. I ordered chicken and ribs for 7pm pickup and they’ll call me around 5:30pm to say they’re out and ask if I want something else. Clearly they didn’t even plan on holding my portion. The food is not good enough to order in store and wait 45 minutes.<br><br>Danny’s Grill is a decent alternative but has consistency issues. Hopefully someone else can open a proper chicken and ribs restaurant because there’s a need for it now.

This was my first time trying Chicken Lovers in Bayside and I didn’t realize how popular this place was.<br><br>We ordered a whole chicken and a half. The chicken was good, but not mind blowing. The ribs… though? Amazing!!! Super juicy, tender, and flavorful! I’d honestly come back just for the ribs alone. And of course, the green sauce was incredible. Chef’s kiss!<br><br>I also really liked the rice. Such a solid combo with the meats. The mac and cheese was just meh.

I pass this place every day and I never stopped I saw a few postings on facebook and I decided to give it a try I’m glad I did I ordered the ribs with two sides well the potion was so much and the ribs were really tasty and fall off the bone and the service was amazing outstanding if you want great food I suggest you stop by the only problem I have is that it’s hard to find parking keep up the great work

My friend got ribs and chicken from Chicken Lovers for a group of friends to-go and it was delicious. The ribs here are so soft juicy. Meanwhile, the chicken was also delicious (but I just wish there was a bit more seasoning on it). We got mac and cheese, corn, and rice as sides and they were also pretty solid. Highly recommend their creamy cilantro (?) sauce and gravy to enjoy your meat with!

This was my Very first time here and they were so amazing. When I tell you the Lunch special alone blew my mind on Portions, there was no way. Keep in mind if you like a certain side be ready to enjoy that for a while because they pack it on. So next time I might get a double Mac and cheese with my half a chicken. Or try their other tasty options. My God I can't wait to go back. Bring all your friends to this spot Lunch and Dinner. The staff is so humble. I want to try their Rack of Ribs next. I can't wait to go back. Delicious and the food is Made right in front so you can witness the Process.
