Had my niece and nephew graduation party here. Staff was very professional and attentive. Food was well prepared and served quickly. Special accommodations made for my son who didn't eat some of the foods.

Finished a nice stroll in Central Park and viewing of the cherry blossoms, on my way to work, decided to check out this location as it was close to my job.

Upon entering around 2-3pm it was surprisingly empty. We got sat down pretty quickly and ordered the beef broccoli and chicken basil. Sadly the problem started with receiving the wrong order, we got chicken broccoli instead of beef. Another flaw with the waitstaff was they put someone else’s dish in front of us.

The food on the other hand was pretty good, beef and the chicken was well made, only suggestion I have is to give more training to the waitstaff

we got there at 9 25 pm ,were seated by the hostess.2 minutes after 3 people stopped in to take our order .I explained to the them i neede little more time to order. After they left a guy that looked more like a bouncer than the owner came and yelled 2MINUTES.We proceeded to give the order ,i wanted soup and a main dish.I sked him to bring one at the time ,he was rude and said he has to bring them both at the same time.We stood up and got out of there fast. Those guys should run a. car was ,or a laundry cleaner. They do not understand any thing about the hospitality business.

The lady at the desk was welcoming and let us order to go. The service was fast and they treated us very well. The food we got was better than usual Chinese food. We had chicken fried rice, vegetable pan fried dumplings and the jellyfish. I have to say that the fried rice was a huge hit. My 3 yr old is so picky with rice and he literally shoveled this rice in. The flavor was amazing. The jellyfish was also the most amazing I've ever had. When I get jellyfish other places it's usually either super chewy or crunchy and the flavors usually lack. This place had jellyfish with a slight crunch but still very chewable and the flavor was the most amazing (scallion and sesame). Most people will see jellyfish and be scared away, but this place has the best. If you're ever going to try it, literally this place is where you start. Next time I come to the city I'm bringing my whole family to this place. Thank you for the most delicious meal and making my child so happy that he was full and was a happy boy the whole train ride home.

This is not authentic Chinese food. At best, it should be labeled American Chinese–style, but the restaurant claims it is Sichuan cuisine, which is misleading.

Please do not call this dish 鱼香肉丝 just because it contains pork and garlic. That alone does not define the dish. What was served looks nothing like real 鱼香肉丝—the chef clearly has never seen or understood what this classic dish actually is.

As a Chinese customer, this is genuinely upsetting. It feels disrespectful to the culture—like putting durian and pineapple on pizza, or cutting spaghetti with scissors, and still calling it authentic Italian food.

If you want to serve Americanized Chinese food, that’s fine—but please don’t misrepresent it as traditional Sichuan cuisine.

The duck from the BBQ menu was not really tasty.. The skin was slightly tough and hard to cut. The meat was very oily, I guess that‘s their style of cooking. But the Phad Thai was oily which is not the case in Thailand. It was nothing really exciting, the waiter told us that it is with bones. So no blame to them, it was just not what we has expected to get served

The ambience of this restaurant is very nice and the service is great. There are two levels offering various seating options including a large, private dining area on the second floor. The menu is extensive and they have a full bar. I enjoyed my meal (spring rolls and chicken with cashews) and drink (an old-fashioned) but I have to say that the quality of the food didn't match the vibe of the restaurant as a whole which surprised me. It was tasty, fresh, very hot and left me satisfied, but I was expecting something with bigger pieces of chicken or large roasted cashews, a more exciting sauce, etc. I would eat here again and hopefully I'll get the 'wow' factor next time.

Outstanding food! We ordered Spicy Beef Noodle Soup and Sliced Chicken and Broccoli to share. They were delicious. Rich flavour on the soup and chicken was tender and broccoli was cooked perfectly! Service was friendly and fast. Cheap booze too 😊

It might be a Huaiyang or Shanghai style restaurant. The dishes from that region were cooked well and delicious. The Sichuan style dishes we ordered were cooked with good effort and tasty, but not in typical Sichuan flavor. If I go again, I will ask the waiter what are the specialty of the chefs and skip the Sichuan dishes.
Overall, it was an authentic Chinese restaurant and we had a good hearty lunch.

Chef Yu is among my favorite quick order online, pick up, then back at my desk fast options. My favorite is the Chicken/Pineapple fried rice with cashews. Chef Yu gives huge portions of this for a very fair price.

The food was delicious and quite a good price for the location. The dumplings in chili oil were fantastic, although not spicy at all. The chow fun with pork was perfectly cooked - the pork was tender the bok choy was still crispy, but it also lacked any spice. The happy hour cocktails were solid and for $8, the Manhattan was as good as any $17 Manhattan anywhere in the city. The place was quiet and comfortable.

Chef Yu is a fantastic spot for Chinese food in NYC! The hot and sour soup was absolutely delicious, with just the right balance of flavors.

I also appreciated that the cocktails were reasonably priced, which is a nice bonus in the city. But the real star here is the food—it was very good, exceeding my expectations in every way.

I’m already looking forward to returning the next time I’m in the city. If you’re craving quality Chinese food, Chef Yu is a must-visit!

Stopped in and had an amazing lunch here with some friends. It wasn’t too busy, very nice environment, everyone is very friendly, staff is quick and can be a bit pushy but to as bad as some places I have been to. The Brunch drinks are worth it and the food wow, it was amazing. Overall I would say please stop by and enjoy. This place has been here through a lot and before the pandemic it was very hard to even get in the door. When you come you will understand why.

The presentation for the dishes are not great, but they are yummy and fresh with ingredients from China town daily. It serve house tea, the prices are very reasonable. the restroom is clean and fresh which is a big plus for Chinese restaurant.
