Outstanding! Worth the trip not just from Manhattan but really anywhere. Not only is the food glorious but it’s also incredibly well priced so the value is great. I barely paid $100 for ceviche, mole, tres leches, a top shelf marg and Evian sparkling water. Every dish was fabulous: the fish ceviche was fresh tangy and pleasantly spicy. The chicken in the mole was falling off the bone in complex sauce that wasn’t too sweet. The tres leches was tres fantastic — easily among the best I’ve had. I sat at the bar and the service was brisk and pleasant. Got a complementary shot of high end blanco with the bill. Bravo to the chef and everyone involved. The restaurant is listed in the Micheline guide but it fully deserves a Bib Gourmand if not a star. Don’t think about it but go and enjoy.

Great spot! Came with a friend who’s been wanting to check them out. We went early and had a ressy so we were seated right away. They do have an outdoor patio which is nice for the warmer months.

They have lots of cocktail options, too many to choose from but we really liked the ones we got, the Aguachile margarita and Jamaica margarita. Very unique!

We started with the Aguachile de camarón that was extremely delicious! Highly recommend getting it. Has a little kick but nothing crazy. We then got an order of the lengua and pastor tacos and shared. Both were delicious but I think I liked the lengua more.

Really great spot!

This restaurant is a gem located in Long Island City, and it was a short train ride from Manhattan. Our server from last night, Marcelo, was super friendly and attentive ( 🌟 )! The food was homey yet classy with bold flavor and just the right amount of spices. We had Sopecitos de Chirozo (well seasoned and earthy) Cocktails de Camarones (fresh and zesty), Pozele de Mi Tia (deep and savory), Chille Relleno (rich and creamy) and their roasted pork shoulder special (moist and soft). For desserts, their cheese ice cream blended with rich milk and a mild cheese tang was a delight to our palette, and their Tres Lèche cake was moist and creamy melted in our mouth. Last but not the least, their cocktails were fresh and delicious! They also have a decent selection or wine. We will definitely come back!

Casa Enrique is good, but has dropped off a bit in terms of creative spark and meticulous service.

Most of what we ordered was tasty. It’s comforting and accessible, but it stops short of being truly outstanding or memorable. The Rajas con Crema gets an honorable mention for being the least liked and eaten dish. It felt like an afterthought in preparation, presentation, and flavor (on paper sounds delicious but in person it was like a bunch of random ingredients thrown together with no seasoning. It could be so much better if refined and tweaked).

While the portions were appropriate, our server could have guided us through the menu more efficiently (like not letting us order so much rice but silver lining more leftovers).

It’s a solid 3.5 star experience, but I wouldn't rush back or say it’s worth crossing boroughs for ($18 guac, $20 cocktails). This kitchen plays it very safe and unfortunately makes for a static meal. I hope they consider taking bigger risks with unique ingredients and bolder flavor profiles/textures.

Excellent service from the moment I arrived for our reservation of five people. I was warmly greeted by someone who seemed to be the manager, and almost immediately another staff member, who I believe was the host, approached me. Both were very friendly and welcoming, almost like a family style atmosphere. They asked if I wanted to be seated right away, but I declined since I wasn’t sure how long the rest of my family would take to arrive.
Once we were seated, everything went very smoothly. The food felt very traditional and authentic. The drinks were good, although they could use a bit more “buzz” or strength.
Our table was located right in front of the restroom, and I think it would be a good idea to place a curtain or divider there, since it feels a bit too direct every time someone goes in or out.
We ordered dessert because it was my daughter’s birthday, and the staff came over to sing “Happy Birthday,” which was a very nice touch.
One thing I really want to highlight: when I received the check, the server had circled that the gratuity was already included. I truly appreciated that, because I’ve been to places where gratuity is included but not clearly mentioned, and the bill still suggests adding 20%, which can lead to tipping twice. That honest gesture from the server actually made me want to leave an additional tip.
Would I come back? Absolutely!!! 😀

One serving of order is plentiful to fill up two stomachs. For raw seafood. I still like omakase better. Sauce for the meat is more suitable to sweet mouth. Dessert is great except I m too full to appreciate it

The food is absolutely delicious! The suadero taco was splendid. The tender beef and the crunch of the refreshing radish and carrot slices contrast very nicely. The cochinito chiapaneco were well-balanced with the beans and rice, the ribs themselves were spicy with a touch of salt. For desert, we had the pastel tres leches, the cake itself was super moist and absorbed the condensed milk at the bottom , creating a sponge effect in your mouth. Overall, the experience was very great.

The food and drink were incredible but the most exceptional piece of the experience was the service.

We ordered chips and guacamole, Mole de Piaxtla, and the carnitas. We also tried the mango margaritas (can’t miss!) and one of their Valentines speciality drinks. Every single item was incredible. Wrapped up the evening with the flan- perfection.

The place has a modern feel, the service was excellent, very attentive. The sauce and the tortilla work is very impressive. We got the shrimp ceviche that was a special of the day and it had an interesting fusion sauce, with Asian notes to it. The sopecitos were outstanding. I thought the carne asada lacked flavor a bit. But the tortillas were some of the best I have had. The flautas were disappointing. The entire filling was super crispy and over fried so there was no texture contrasts in the dish.

Food was AWESOME! Everything tastes homemade and packed with tons of flavors and spice. We had the special shrimp ceviche, the enchiladas, branzino, the cheese ice cream was out of this world and the tres leches was the best. Cocktails were delicious and made with fresh juices not that sugary bottled stuff. Can’t wait to return, I highly recommend.

Great experience here on a Friday night! We were seated at the bar and our bartender/waiter was super attentive and made excellent drink/entree recommendations. One of the best spicy margaritas I’ve had in a while! He was very knowledgeable about the tequila/mezcal options which I appreciate. The food was good, elevated takes on traditional Mexican flair. Pop in if you can get a seat! It’s very busy!

We had brunch on a Sunday and it was great. We had reservations, but it wasn't too busy at about noon.

Here are the positives: the service was really wonderful - perfect mix of attentive and leave you alone; the table hot sauces are FANTASTIC; the guacamole was really delicious and the pan frances (french toast) was phenomenal. Okay, I don't really have negatives...but the other dishes were just good (nothing spectacular). The fish tacos and albondigas were tasty, but not standouts.

Overall a lovely brunch, but I definitely want to return for dinner.

Casa Enrique continues to be one of the best restaurants in Long Island City and it fully deserves its reputation. Every time we visit, the food is consistent, fresh, and full of bold flavor. You can taste the care in the cooking, whether it’s the guacamole, ceviche, enchiladas, or their signature mole. The dishes are beautifully balanced without being overly complicated, which makes the experience feel both comforting and special.

The service is another reason we keep returning. The staff is warm, patient, and genuinely welcoming. Even on busy nights, they make you feel taken care of and always offer thoughtful recommendations. It is clear they care about creating a positive experience for every guest.

The atmosphere is relaxed but polished, making it a great spot for a casual dinner or celebrating something meaningful. It has become one of those rare neighborhood restaurants where you want to bring friends and family just to share how good it is. We also love that the quality has never slipped no matter how popular it gets.

Casa Enrique is a true gem in Queens. If you are in LIC and want an amazing meal with great service, this should be at the top of your list.

Great meal at Casa Enrique last night. We had an 8:30 reservation but were able to get sat early, as we arrived faster than anticipated. Lovely service, and we had enough pozole to bring home with us. Perfect as the weather is turning cold. Need to return to dig into more of their long cocktail list!

This is a terrific Mexican restaurant with some of the most delightful dishes. Steak is super tender, perfectly cooked at medium raw, juicy and melts in your mouth. Tacos come with fresh corn tortillas. The meat is fresh, sweet and savory. Fish ceviche is tangy, spicy.
The restaurant is right off of Vernon, slightly more secluded being next to a children park/playground. Outdoor seatings are available. Service is quick. We were able to get a table on a Saturday afternoon for an early dinner without a reservation. The price is on the higher end for mexican food but I still recommend for occasional treat for anyone to try.
