I don’t have enough words to express how amazing the staff is and how excellent the food is. The attentiveness is marvelous. After coming from a bad experience elsewhere, this restaurant and their staff never fail. I’ve been here many times and haven’t had a single bad experience.<br>The only reason for a 4-star atmosphere rating is that the takeout area is combined with the main seating area, which takes away slightly from the elevated experience they are trying to create. Otherwise, flawless!

I've been coming here for about 10 yrs and love the new layout and upgrades they recently made. I do wish they were friendlier especially at the counter. The food service can be better streamlined because they are all working over each other. Overall, good food and convenient parking.

Food was good and they give you a big portions plenty parking as well.

I order from here a lot. Food is usually good but sometimes the chicken tenders have like nasty pieces instead of being a solid tender. Most days good but sometimes I have to throw out a lot of pieces. Other than that great restaurant.

The food was not seasoned enough very bland rice and chicken. The gratuity was automatic and I was charged $13 forced tip and $5 for using a credit card. I will never eat here again. Super expensive and the food is not even good. I was charged $21 for chicken fingers and mashed potatoes. Baked chicken with white rice single portion was $19 the whole experience was a waste I should have saved my money we spent $97 for basic under seasoned food.

I had a bit of a mixed experience at this restaurant. On the positive side, the service really stood out—our waitress was attentive, friendly, and made us feel genuinely welcomed throughout the meal. The restaurant itself was also very clean, which I always appreciate, and the ambiance was decent enough for a relaxed dining experience. Another big plus was the easy availability of free street parking, which made the visit convenient from the start.<br><br>Unfortunately, the food didn’t quite live up to expectations. The mofongo, which I was really looking forward to, was disappointing—it was dry, lacked flavor, and had very little chicharrón mixed in, which made it feel incomplete. The tres leches cake also fell short, with a subpar taste that didn’t capture the richness and sweetness I was expecting. To top it off, the sangrias seemed watered down and didn’t have the bold, refreshing flavor they should have.<br><br>Overall, while the service, cleanliness, and convenience were definite highlights, the food and drinks left a lot to be desired.

I order often since it is almost as good as my cooking lol..<br>Whenever I order besides the food being delish.. They always get my order right and are efficient.<br>Today I ordered to go but unfortunately due to circumstances beyond my control due to a gas leak I was forced to ask to now have a table.<br>I know that is a simple resolution. However I did not have to do much explaining and I was accommodated immediately.<br><br>Thank you for your the great customer service.

This place is known for cheap quick Spanish food at a reasonable price. But I didn’t know they also charge 40.00 for two 6oz drinks….. stay away from this place. Food was just ok. Drink wasn’t even that good…. Definitely wasn’t happy with the price gouging

Look at my reviews if I like, I like. However this one…2 stars, the food wasn't great, but mainly as a warning to others; DO NOT ORDER ALCOHOL HERE. Our total was $176, but the actual food cost was only $80. The rest was two tiny 12 oz drinks ($20 each) plus tax and tip. Completely unexpected and overpriced for a casual Bronx diner."

So I ordered porkchops with rice and black beans. The lady who served me was less than pleasant, especially when I asked if I could change to yellow rice instead and she said "no white rice!" WTH I thought you had a choice at Caridad? At least the food was good!

I used to enjoy this place, the food use to be tasty and the portions were worth the $. But I recently went there and I ordered the pork chunks that are usually flavorful and came with a good amount of chunks for the price, this time I got a plate full of rice and literally 5 chunks. I was in the car excited to get home and enjoy my food ut once I reached home and saw what I was given I was really disappointed, then I said oh well at least i will enjoy the taste... nope the rice tasted old and I got way more fat than meat on my 5 small chunks of pork! And they didnt even give me the garlic sauce they usually give... DISAPPOINTED!!! The only reason I didnt give one star is bc I remember what it use to be... I must say I really hope they dont continue these new practices

Great place for a wonderful hearty meal. The food is delicious and they have a wide variety of meals. Some of the meat needs a bit more flavor. Freshly made food with tasty drinks. The restaurant is spacious and clean.

Good place to eat & have drinks with friends. Be prepared to be full. The restaurant is open till 12AM which is great. I like their music but they also play different types of music if you ask them nicely which was a plus 👍🏻. Try out the "Morir Soñando" when you go it's it's a Dominican juice (think like Piña colada but without liquor). Cocktails are also pretty good, you can also make your own requests just ask ahead.

Delish food, great atmosphere and service. My family and I went to have dinner with a friend at this location (Gun Hill). Great service (both English and Spanish), delicious mofongo and Steak as well as flan with coffee with milk and black. Excellent experience! Parking was a bit hairy during dinner hours (Saturday night around 6 / 7 ish). There is a small lot but it stayed full. Aside from that comfortable seating. Chill atmosphere. We will be back!
