5 stars to the team for a beautiful, delicious cake!! Thank you for bringing my sister’s vision to life, it was perfect. The whole process was so efficient and quick and they knew exactly what I wanted. Can’t wait to order my next cake

Shocked at this experience after 18 years! I have been ordering from this bakery and visiting in person for over 18 years, but my recent experience was deeply disappointing. I placed a birthday order through Uber Eats: four pastries and a whole cake. The pastries arrived—but instead of the full $45 cake I paid for, only a single slice was delivered - picture below.

Because the birthday was that night, I had to reorder another cake, meaning I **paid for two cakes but received only one**. I contacted the bakery the same day and was told to report the issue through Uber Eats, which I did—photos and chat records included. Despite this clear proof, I was later told they couldn’t help because it was “now Tuesday” and they had no record.

This isn’t just about $45—it’s about being a loyal customer for nearly two decades and being treated like my business doesn’t matter. Being sent back and forth with clear evidence of the mistake shows a shocking lack of customer service.

I hope the bakery and Uber Eats take this feedback seriously and improve how they treat long-time customers. So I am out $59 because someone who fulfills orders thought a slice was an entire cake?! And the customer has to pay for that?

I had the mango bliss. Its amazing. I also bought the red velvet cupcake, but I wasn't amazed, it was a bit dry. I tasted better. Wish I had a better pic, but my husband ate it so quickly. If u like mango, try it!

Soooooooo, truth be told... I have a bit of a sweet tooth and I love pastries...
I immigrated to the USA in my teens and I paid my way through University by working as a Pastry Chef... this was in the 90's... since leaving the industry to pursue my career in Finance I have been looking for a bakery that uses all natural ingredients, butter, sugar, flour, eggs etc...
Now I will not put my neck on the block for any company that produces a product that I have not witnessed the production process from start to finish... that said, I think that this company does not use artificial ingredients... shortening, corn syrup etc...

The proof is actually in the taste of the products...
I've tried
1. an assortment of their cookies... which at $26.00 a pound is quite expensive but worth every penny.
2. Their Pecan Danish... I tried this at two of their stores... The Pecan Danish from the store in Huntington DID NOT have any pecans in the inside layers and only a few on the outside this was very disappointing. The one I got from their store in Floral Park was absolutely delicious with lots of pecans on the exterior and especially on the inside layers. Truly delicious and not a bad price at $5.25.
3. Their 5 inch Apple Pie was also very delicious with a fully baked crust that was not gummy or underrated. It was perfect and a good value at $6.95
4. Their Creme Brulee Croissant is my new favorite and a very good value at $7.25... It was filled and covered with adequate amounts of Pastry Creme which tasted exactly the way I used to make it with the vanilla beans.
5. The Orange Peel Croissant was my least favorite at $7.25 per croissant. I don't think that it's worth the price... I will not be buying that ever again... It tasted good but I think that at $7.25 is too pricey.

Nice bakery. Very clean and spacious. They have cakes and a large variety of pastries. The service is good and so are the prices.

My family recently celebrated my aunt and uncle's 80th birthday at Antun's in Queens, New York. A sheet cake was ordered from Buttercooky and I expected to bite into a deliciously moist flavorful cake, however, I did not. The cake lacked moisture tasteful flavor and it was noticeably dry around the edges; that was disappointing.

Buttercooky was one of my go-to choices when my children were growing up, and I was always pleased with the quality. That history made this recent experience especially surprising.
.

This was not my first order from Buttercooky. I used to love their cakes, not anymore. Buyer beware. I ordered a cake from Buttercooky for 70 people for an event at Antun’s. The presentation was beautiful but the taste was horrible. It was dry and stale with a lot of buttercream. When I informed the store manager Isabel, she asked if I could bring the leftover cake in. I did and the bakers tasted it and said it was moist. So I’m to believe that me and my guest tastebuds are all off. Again this is not my first cake from Buttercooky this is why I had no issue ordering the cake from here when Antun’s advised me this is the only bakery they will accept cakes from. I am truly disappointed in the way this was handled. I was offered a free cake from the display or some free cupcakes after I paid the full $150 for the cake. Why would I accept anything from this bakery after tasting this horrible cake. My guest will also be writing reviews. Thank you Buttercooky for nothing.

Cake tastes good but few servers need more grooming on being less rude and being more knowledgeable and more creative. I have been ordering birthday cakes including sweet16 .. taste nothing to complain. Sometimes I feel not all are knowing details and some sound to be a bit rude
Last one was I went to buy bday cake for my husband. The handwriting on cake was disaster. “U” looked to be “V”.. hope to see better service in future

Save yourself the drama! We order several items amounting in over $250. We placed our order 5 days in advance due to our 2 hour travel distance one way, which we informed them. We pick up our items only to find 1 hour into our drive home that 75% of all of our order (black & White cookies and Yule log) were ALL stale, dried out and old!! We called them and they refuse to do anything! We had a death in the family yesterday morning. Having to deal with this dishonesty is deplorable!

This used to be my go-to place for cakes, but they’ve officially lost a customer for life.
I ordered a vanilla sponge birthday cake with whipped cream for my child, and the cream tasted extremely salty—completely unedible. I brought it back expecting a simple refund or at least basic customer service. Instead, they denied the refund, claimed they “tasted” the cake (without me even seeing it), and said it was “overly sweet.”

So which is it? If I tasted salt and they claim it was overly sweet, clearly something was wrong with the cake.

What makes this even more frustrating is that I also purchased 18 cupcakes, which were perfectly fine. No complaints about those. So why refuse to make it right on the item that was bad?

Isabel, the manager, needs serious customer-service training. She handled the situation terribly and was dismissive instead of trying to help a loyal long-time customer who spends good money here.

Very disappointed. I will not be supporting this establishment anymore, and I’d warn others to be cautious.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Buttercooky Bakery! I have been purchasing my twins’ birthday cakes here for years, and they have never disappointed me. Each year, the cakes are delicious, fresh, and beautifully made.

But this year was extra special — I shared my vision and pictures for their birthday cakes and cupcakes, and the owner went above and beyond to make sure everything came out exactly like the picture. His dedication and the attention to detail from his staff made my dreams a reality. The cakes not only looked perfect, but they tasted just as amazing as always.

Thank you, Buttercooky Bakery, for making every birthday celebration memorable. Your commitment to quality and customer happiness truly shows. I’m so grateful and will continue to recommend you to everyone I know!

Worst worst I just ordered a cake for my three month old baby to celebrate. It’s very very disappointed very disappointed. I ordered a Biscoff French pastry to try it out. It came smashed and eat like it wasn’t fresh at all. The cake came smashed and I can’t even do anything with it. Incredible people paying so much money and you guys are doing this. I need a refund man.

Had the worst customer service experience here today..there were no customers in the store but there were at least 8 employees behind the counter, all ignoring me and my mother (on her birthday!) all in their own world giggling and chit chatting, paying no attention or showing any interest in us..customer service is at 0 there, literally have to beg to be served…when we finally do get someone to help with a cake, their is an immense attitude and immense lack of knowledge on any of the cakes…had to literally beg them to put some writing and glitter on the cake…the cake ending up tasting fine (I’m leaving 2 stars for this instead of 1) but I won’t be back anytime soon given the trash service experience on Wed Aug 27th 10am
