Took a flyer and picked this place because it had good reviews, served steak, and wasn't a fancy schmancy place; basically, all my criteria.

From the moment I walked in, I felt like family.
Seriously. Everyone had worked there for years and years, and I think at some point I met each and every one of them. The owner came by to check in, but it wasn't intrusive at all... more like your Pops swinging by your table to see if ya need anything.

I went solely for the beef, and got the grilled blood sausage and the 30oz. Bone-In Loin Strip. Dry aged. Cooked perfectly Medium Rare. That was a legendary piece of meat, and it'll be brought up in many conversations down the road.

This place is a gem. Support it. You'll have a great time, I promise.

This is the best steak restaurant you could find, anywhere in NYC. Grew up in Nebraska and this is in that rarefied air of steakhouses, but yet, still better. The table bread, broccoli and mashed potatoes were incredible sides. Treated our friend to Flan with caramel for dessert with an after dinner drink - wonderful celebration! Atmosphere is so comfortable and old school, and the staff are so kind, friendly and fun ! Highly recommend.
Truly the best most genuine Argentinian food you can possibly find in NYC. Coming from someone born and raised in Bs. As. ARG. THIS PLACE IS WHAT HOME TASTES LIKE!
From the corners of your hometown you grew up in, to the smell that drew you into this same place. A place to remember and make it your go to spot. It didn’t disappoint, and WE WILL BE BACK! ♥️

Si podes leer esto, la milanga Argentina está acá!!
The atmosphere alone is half the experience at this restaurant—but the food truly takes it over the top. The sausage is exquisite, and the skinny sausage is an absolute must.

You cannot leave without trying the crêpes dulce de leche—they’re unforgettable. My personal favorite is the ribeye, perfectly done every time.

The French fries with garlic and parsley are something to rave about, and the staff is incredible—warm, lively, and genuinely welcoming. It feels like home every time.
Was excited to try out a local steakhouse, but was very disappointed. Walked in and no one was there to seat us for 10 minutes. It didn’t smell very pleasant, a bit like an old locker room.

The food itself was very bad. Wait was also long for subpar food. Got empanadas for starter, I’m not Gordon Ramsey but they were 200% microwaved.

My friend and I got ribeyes, rare for me and medium for him. Literally 2 steaks and that’s it. Yet the waiter completely mixed our steaks up, which we noticed after starting to eat. Waiter didn’t ask once how our food was or if we needed anything else. If you want anything besides the already overpriced small steak, you have to pay money. Not a single complementary side of even mashed potatoes or fries, which is laughable for a “steakhouse”.

I wouldn’t eat here again even if every other restaurant in Manhattan was closed. Leave alone for 70 bucks per person.
This has quickly become my favourite restaurant in NYC! They take such good care of their guests and the steak is always cooked to perfection. You really can’t go wrong with the menu or wine list. 10/10. Must go!!!
We had an incredible time at Buenos Aires watching the Super Bowl with friends — everything was amazing from start to finish! The atmosphere was lively and perfect for the game, the food was packed with rich Argentine flavors, and the wine list complemented every dish beautifully. A huge shoutout to our waiter, Julio, whose friendly, attentive service made the night even more enjoyable. We’ll definitely be back soon — highly recommend this spot for great food, great drinks, and unforgettable service!
My wife took me here for my birthday. Came on Friday night at 8:30 our server was Mauro who was excellent and went above and beyond. My wife and I got an order of the beef empanadas (the order brings 2, had 1 each) as an appetizer with the chimichurri the empanadas were awesome, but the chimichurri was missing a little something in flavor. We both got a 12oz Argentine ribeye cooked medium which was unbelievable, nice and crisp on the outside of the steak and juicy in the inside, sides are separate and we got steamed broccoli and mashed potatoes which were good, but the steak was the star. Mauro and some of the staff sang me a happy birthday and brought me a little desert, which I greatly appreciate. I will definitely be back at Buenos Aires, next time I am in NYC.
I visited last Friday for a company celebration lunch. We had the entire back room, which felt like a private oasis. The service was absolutely wonderful! The atmosphere was "victorious" (think Argentina)—you’ll understand exactly what I mean once you visit.

Because we were a large group, the food took a bit longer than expected, and my steak had cooled down by the time it arrived. However, the Pollo Organico al Champignon was delicious; my coworkers saw it and immediately had "order envy." I suspect if you come in a smaller group of 2 or 4, the steak would be perfect.

Overall, a great experience. Go Messi!
Favorite restaurant in NYC. Open on Christmas Day when we were delayed by a cancelled flight. Couldn’t have been more accommodating.
We hosted a large private dinner here with a big group of academics, and it was genuinely one of the best group dining experiences I’ve had in NYC. Patrick managed a ton of people (and a lot of moving parts) but somehow still made everyone feel personally taken care of; he was attentive, organized, and so fun to interact with all night.

The food was phenomenal across the board. The steak was outstanding, the bread was dangerously good, and the sauce that came with it was chef’s kiss. And the dulce de leche dessert was absolutely to die for. We even had multiple Argentinians in our group and they were seriously impressed... high praise! Everyone had an amazing time, and the whole restaurant felt warm, lively, and special. Can’t recommend enough—thank you Patrick and team!
I’ve been here several times and always enjoyed it, great food, great service, no complaints there. But on my last visit, I was surprised at how much the prices have jumped.

I ordered a milanesa with French fries and a Sprite, and the bill came out to almost $56, Fries alone were listed at $12, which honestly feels a bit much and excessive. I get that it’s Manhattan, but come on, it’s the Lower East Side, not Times Square.

The quality and service are still solid, but at those prices, I’ll have to think twice before coming back. Might start exploring other spots in the area next time.
This used to be by far my favorite meat restaurant in NY, and is still a very solid option. The only thing that has changed is that we used to know the waiters but there has been a bit of turnover which makes the welcoming a bit less personal.
That being said, the meat there is very very solid for a steakhouse in NYC, while being on the relatively affordable range (for a steakhouse).
I highly recommend the empanadas for the appetizers (any of them, but I do love the cheese/onion one), the provoleta is a solid option as well (but obviously a bit heavy on the stomach!), and as for the meat I always go for the entrana and the ojo de bife, both being super tasty and good.
My only small complaint is the wine list - there used to be more choices, and I wish sometime that they would offer corkage fee as I am a bit wine enthusiast and sometime would rather bring my own bottle (even if I pay a fee for it) and enjoy better wine than classic cab / malbec.
But overall solid option, and always one of my go-to in NYC for a steak.
We had such an amazing experience at Buenos Aires. It was like stepping into a real traditional Argentinian parrilla, and the meat was delicious and made exactly as we ordered it. Thank you to Mauro and all the wonderful staff who made our visit so special. For me, it was like being home. ❤️
We had such an amazing time at Buenos Aires! We found it on google while looking for a good steak and we were NOT disappointed. The service was some of the best I have received in NYC, thank you Patricio, Oscar, and Julio! The food was to die for, the steak perfectly seasoned and the best wine pairing per Patricio’s recommendation. We will most definitely be back. Best place in LES!
