We were concerned we wouldn’t get in because we didn’t have same-day reservations. When we walked in it was busy and she estimated a 15min wait. We maybe waited 5mins before being seated beside the window. It was a tight space but adorable on the inside. Staff was super friendly and they have a quick turnaround. It seems someone was always filling drinks and taking empty plates. It was quick service for sure! The food was filling and delicious. The price was definitely worth it!

Great brunch spot and the food is always comforting! It’s usually a less wait if you’re a larger party. We’ve been multiple times now and we’ve waited no more than 5 minutes when we have larger parties of 6 or more. Wait times can get longer if you’re a group of 2 or 3.

Their fried chicken is some of the best I’ve had. The pancakes are always fluffy and very filling. I prefer the sourdough pancakes only because they’re thinner and not as heavy. They have great fresh oj as well. The vibe inside is always fun and good energy in the mornings.

Pancake flight was honestly overrated, not anything special. Definitely not worth the wait, but good to try/split/have at least once. Eggs + sausage were decent and the peach lemonade was good! Very cute atmosphere + friendly staff

edit: $77 for this with tip! Honestly overpriced and not worth it

Came here for brunch on a busy Saturday morning with the lines out the door but we somehow, some way, ended up being seated pretty quickly as a group of six.

This neighborhood staple, American flare, super popular brunch spot is all about cooking scratch made with a very homey feel.

Their James Beard pancakes are a must. They’re extra fluffy and filling, so sharing is highly encouraged. Be sure to order their flaky biscuits served with fresh butter and jam, you will thank me later. Also, their little coffee mugs are tbe CUTEST!

We also ordered a little something savory and got the huevos rancheros (minus the eggs). Soooo flavorful and delicious!

Loved this spot, the energy, the food and the great company we were with =)

Also, we sat in the same area as The Devil Wears Prada, like what???

Tried Bubby’s with a group for breakfast and honestly, the menu is not endless — don’t expect pages and pages of options — but everything they do, they do extremely well. We ordered different dishes and shared them all, and every plate was delicious, comforting, and very satisfying. Service was impressively fast despite how busy the place was, and the portions were generous. Overall, very good value for the quality and location.
One thing to know: this is not really the kind of café where you linger for hours chatting over coffee after breakfast. The check arrives pretty quickly because there’s usually a line and reservations stacked at the door. And yes — reservations are absolutely necessary. Don’t even try walking in without one unless you’re ready to wait.

Best breakfast in NYC!
Best pancakes ever!!
Real maple syrup 🍁
Do not be deterred if they tell you there is a 45 minute wait. We only waited 10-15 minutes. Outdoor seating is breezy. If you are sensitive to cold, you might want to wait a little longer for an indoor table.
I am bringing pancake mix home to recreate these James Beard inspired sour cream pancakes.

Chicken was cool. I prefer a lighter and smoother breading. But that’s personal - I know🤦🏾‍♀️🤭 the pancakes were good to me, they aren’t fluffy, they are closer to cake like which was extremely tasty. But dem’ POTATOES!!! They were Fire. I appreciate the combined sautéed veggies & potatoes. The flavor was cooked in and sealed with that sauté - def salute to the cook (chef). You don’t find many spots to combine their home fries like that vast iron skillet from childhood. I would go back on the home fries alone lol.

A very vibrant and full-of-character brunch spot in Lower Manhattan, perfect for a weekend outing! The menu offers a wide variety of options, so there’s something for everyone. The service is fast, friendly, and welcoming, which makes the whole experience even better.

The food tastes incredibly fresh and flavorful. Their signature buttermilk pancakes are an absolute must-try! It is soft, rich, and delicious.

One thing to keep in mind: they don’t take reservations on weekends, so you might have to wait in a long line. That said, it’s definitely worth it.

The only downside for me was the fried chicken. It came as thigh and drumstick pieces that were mostly bone and not very enjoyable. I’d probably go for something else next time.

Overall, a great spot that I’d happily come back to!

I wanted to try the hyped Bubby’s pancakes that everyone talks about. We went on a Sunday around 2 PM and had to wait about 40 minutes, which is probably normal for a popular brunch spot in NYC on the weekend. The staff was very friendly and the interior was cute. However, our table was next to the window and it was quite cold there.

The food was good, but not something I would say is significantly better than other good brunch places in NYC. We ordered the green omelette with potatoes, fries, and apple chicken sausage, as well as the pancakes with banana, berries, and Nutella.

Overall, it’s a solid brunch spot, but given all the hype, I expected a bit more.

These might be the BEST pancakes I've ever had in nyc! So thick, fluffy but still flavorful! The eggs and sausage were also good! 10/10 worth the wait! Also the photo booth downstairs is so vintage and cute!!

The buttermilk biscuits were a big hit for us, if it were possible we would have just bought a big bag of them and brought them home! Also the pancake flight, just unforgettable. It’s a lot of food, even for two people, so I recommend going for breakfast or brunch with an empty stomach. The only thing that’s not so nice was standing in line in the cold but I guess that’s worth the wait!

I don't typically eat breakfast BUT, it was my last day in NYC and I'd been up all night. My lovely friend offered to take me for breakfast and we ended up at Bubby's in Tribeca.

There was a bit of a queue but luckily a table for two was available pretty much immediately. The vibe inside is lively and welcoming, staff are polite and professional.

The menu is extensive without being overwhelming and they focus on "from scratch" traditional American cuisine without forgetting the diverse blend of people and cultures that have contributed to America's flavourful food scape.

Our meal was absolutely delicious, I decided on traditional pancakes, with raw banana slices, maple syrup and crispy bacon. The pancakes are AMAZING thick and fluffy without being doughy inside and VERY filling. My friend had the Abe Lincoln Breakfast which was also tasty and filling, the home fries were the standout for me.

Bubby's has a varied drinks menu, including cocktails, mocktails and plenty of hot drinks. I've heard their hot chocolate is particularly good and I look forward to trying it on a future visit. My hibiscus iced tea was refreshing with the right balance of sharp and sweet, the iced teas also have unlimited refills.

If you can't tell already, I highly recommend Bubby's!

Very well deserved recognition for their Pancake Flight — it truly lives up to the hype. We were also pleasantly surprised by the meats: full of flavor, perfectly cooked, and with a great style. Overall, all the food is delicious, and the atmosphere is incredibly pleasant. A place you really enjoy from start to finish.

Bubby’s is one of our favorite spots for breakfast in NYC. We always come back for the Hot Chicken Sandwich and the Pancake Flight, both are consistently amazing. Service is friendly and quick every time.

It does get pretty loud inside, so we prefer sitting outside when the weather is nice. Weekends usually come with a long wait, but it’s always worth it once you sit down. The food and overall vibe make it totally worth visiting again and again.

We knew it would be good when it’s 35 degrees F and the line is 45 min out the door. Because we had time to look at the menu already we were ready to order upon being seated. Food came out in 5-10 minutes. It was spectacular. Two of us shared the biscuits and gravy. Hatch chilies and fluffy biscuits, slightly in the sweet side, made for a great breakfast. The potatoes were loaded with onions and cooked perfectly. The praline pumpkin pie was smooth and light while the pralines were crunchy and the crust was on point. The hot chocolate was very rich, with a toasted marshmallow. Lovely. The music was a bit loud, but not enough to take away any stars from this great place. And I didn’t eat in one place that I thought the music wasn’t too loud, so I guess it’s a thing. Or I’m getting old.
