The Brooklyn Botanic Garden was absolutely beautiful and exceeded all my expectations. The gardens are impeccably maintained, with a stunning variety of flowers, plants, and peaceful walking paths. Every area offers something unique, from vibrant seasonal displays to tranquil ponds and charming hidden corners. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing, making it the perfect escape from the busy city. The staff were friendly and helpful, and everything was well organized. I highly recommend visiting if you're in New York – it's a truly wonderful place to spend a few hours surrounded by nature.

One of my favorite places in Brooklyn.
Urban oasis that can be all yours, if you come early in the morning. Find your favorite spot and sit and enjoy the nature.
It's beautiful in any season . I love the Rose garden at the end of May. Such an olfactory and visual delight. Even in the winter it has its charm, plus there are covered gardens with different climate areas.
I only wish they reopen the restaurant. It was good when it was open years ago.
I checked this out as I was visiting the museum next door. If you are a NYBG member you can get feee reciprocal access. This small garden is beatiful and well worth a visit.
I regret not having enough time here!

This was a really beautiful place to visit that I would highly recommend, especially in spring. There are indoor gardens themed after different landscapes (desert, temperate, tropical), and lots of outdoor gardens too. For me the flower gardens were the most impressive, but it was really all so cool! Definitely worth a visit if you like plants 🌱
The scenery was beautiful and the trees being in full bloom are always nice to see. I wish the rules were enforced more during this season. The amount of ignorant people pulling on the trees and bring tripods for pictures ruined the mood. This isn't a tiktok background, it's a garden, treat it with respect.
Great place to visit! A true oasis in New York City, Brooklyn Botanic Garden is a natural jewel box in Brooklyn. I saw the end of the cherry blossoms and the little pink petals blowing around in the wind were magical and beautiful. The garden is very well designed and easy to navigate thru. There are so many sections to explore, each one making its own little natural world. Anybody who likes the outdoors will fall in love, anybody looking to learn about Earth will find plenty of education, and anybody looking for beauty can easily find it here. The gift shop is great and has an excellent selection of plants, housewares, and cool gifts. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and can't wait to go back. 10/10 highly recommend.
My family and I were visiting from Long Island and we went during the weekday to see the Cherry Blossoms. The blossoms are so beautiful! This garden is really well kept and beautiful. My nephew got lost and a security officer named Richard was kind enough to help us locate and find him. He was extremely professional and kind. Love this place!
Hanami Nights was magical! I went yesterday after buying tickets in March. Weather was perfect. Scenery was beyond lovely and peaceful. Brooklyn is full of gorgeous looking people. So glad I went!
went for the cherry blossom blooming for the first time in a long while and it was as gorgeous as i remember. the garden was so peaceful even with the fully expected crowd, the cherry walk was something to experience because looking up is like stepping into a fantasy world, and the views out at the water are stunning. absolutely plan on visiting again next year 🌸
Visited the botanical garden yesterday with my kids. Very beautiful n relaxing . It was very crowded. People were enjoying the cherry blossoms dressed in different kinds of dresses. Kids running around n playing.
I got married here. That's how much we love it. Worth doing the membership because you'll want to come back for the different seasons, the events, the after-hours programs, the classes, or even to get lunch or drinks (all with the membership discount). It's beautiful and always inspired me when I feel overwhelmed by the noise of the city or the general machinations of your daily life. Lightscapes in the winter and the Cherry Blossom Festival are my favorite events.
This place is beautiful the air is fresh and crisp. The staff is very friendly, especially if you visit with children, as they offer a tour and explain the different zones. I personally loved the desert zone; I’ve never been to a real desert, and stepping into this area felt like entering a completely different climate dry and arid. The tropical rainforest zone reminded me of my home country; it felt very familiar, and I truly enjoyed it. I would definitely come back for a second visit.
We've visited the Brooklyn Botanic Garden many times, but this was the first time seeing it covered in snow. With the frozen pond and the red torii gate, it almost felt like we were in Japan.

The snowy scenery gave the garden a completely different and peaceful atmosphere. Beautiful and definitely worth visiting in the winter!
Beautiful botanical garden. After missing a layover at JFK and getting trapped in NY for a day, this was a wonderful place to visit. The "100 Years of Bonsai" exhibit was superb and all the garden is wonderfully well kept. I will definitely visit again next time I miss a flight.
Over the weekend I visited the botanical garden in Brooklyn. From the start the city fades away: it’s quiet, well kept, and full of greenery with neat walking paths. The routes are easy to follow—take a short loop or wander longer and pause in the calmer corners. I loved the mix of open areas and wilder-feeling spots; it feels outside the city even though you’re still in it. Overall it felt clean, intentional, and relaxing. I left feeling inspired and refreshed—a great weekend escape without the hassle.
