Brick City Vegan Newark (Formerly known as Urban Vegan)

I haven't gone yet but as soon as I saw Beyond Burgers on the menu, red flag, it looks like the rest of the burgers are "house-made." Surely someone could come up with a recipe that rivals BB without the health hazards. Just because it is vegan/plant-based doesn't mean it's healthy. There is a lot of vegan ultra-processed food on the market, so read the ingredients! Ms. Bayoh's mission on the website sounds good, "I’m passionate about bringing a variety of high-quality meals and hospitality services to urban communities." BB's are not it. Urban communities have enough ultra-processed garbage they don't need vegan ultra-processed garbage. Do better.

This place was great! The fish sandwich was very tasty! The fries were delicious! And the Hibiscus tea was cold and refreshing! Staff are friendly, and always smiling. Tables, chairs, bathroom, all kept clean! Wonderful experience! 🙌❤️🙌

I have never had an issue with this restaurant until today. I Uber Eats from this place frequently. I order a side of sweet potato fries with my order and I could literally count the fries on one hand. The box wasn’t even half way full. When I called the pace their response was “We got you next time”. Well I won’t be ordering from them either again.

If it has an option for 0 stars i would give it that! I was a REGULAR. I always get the Philly cheesesteak and i always get two. Today it looked different I didn’t make a fuss… it smells AWFUL, it tastes worse… i don’t know what they are doing but until it goes BACK to the way it was I’ll never return. I bought two and it really sucks that I didn’t even finish one. It’s going in the garbage.. the homeless doesn’t deserve this they’ve been thru enough. 👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾👎🏾

I’m disappointed. I went to purchase lunch and I ordered sweet potato fries. The quantity was ridiculously small. Not only that, they were cold. Furthermore, the California burger is delicious. However, the avacado was spoiled. I guess better luck next time.

II’m new to the Vegan Lifestyle and always have trouble finding good vegan recipes and foods, this place took the guesswork out for me and the atmosphere was pleasant and creative. I was truly impressed by my experience.

Amazing food across the board. Honestly, I didn’t even want to leave. I can put a sleeping bag in the back and never leave. I love how attentive and passionate Leanne was while preparing our food and serving us!<br>Thank you ❤️

If you’re in New Jersey and you haven’t eaten at Brick City Vegan, you’re not vegan. 😂😂😂<br>Their food is amazing. Atmosphere is righteous. Come get your vegan on the right way. From pulled oats to vegan fish, you can’t be missed with this menu. If y’all know me, you know I only post what I eat. If I ain’t eatin it, I ant postin about it. I eat this every time I come to Newark!!! Brick City Vegan!!! 💯

Staff is extremely friendly and professional, the food is AMAZING, and the atmosphere is relaxing. I have never had a negative experience at Brick City. I travel over 30 minutes to eat here. I love this place!!!

The service and attention to detail were very much valued and appreciated. The manager, Bubbles, was attentive and took allergy information very seriously. The food was cooked just right. Great atmosphere with friendly staff. I will definitely be going back! (Totally forgot a before picture…hunger called!)

Great fresh food option. My burger,<br>Plantains and Philly cheesesteak was made to order. The salad was fresh and I’m so glad it was offered as an option. The mint tea was refreshing and not too sweet. The cashier, Don was friendly. I’ll definitely be back when I’m in town.

The workers are so kind and welcoming. The atmosphere is so clean and cozy. THE FOOD IS AMAZING! I am not vegan but I tried this place and let me tell you the “burgers” are spectacular! The sides are amazing as well! TRY THE YUM YUM SAUCE! It is to die for! I included a picture of my destroyed burger lmao.

I grabbed a Power Bowl from Brick City Vegan, and it was fantastic! The bowl was freshly packed, bursting with flavor, and the portion size was impressively generous. The small space had a cozy, inviting vibe, and the staff were incredibly friendly, making the pickup quick and pleasant. Definitely a spot to hit for delicious, hearty vegan takeout

Today was my first time experiencing Brick City Vegan. I ordered the sweet potato burger, and my sister got the Philly cheesesteak. We both had sweet potato fries, and the mint tea, one of their signature drinks. Let me tell you, this meal was absolutely delicious and worth every penny. We were given chocolate chip cookies, which were delicious. Everything about this spot is outstanding we will definitely be back again, and again and again.

This place is a true gem. We were blown away by the delicious food and the exceptional service. Kara and the entire staff were so friendly and accommodating. I wish I lived closer so I could come back again and again! I also love that there are delicious healthy options as well as burgers, fries, cookies etc. There is something for everyone.
