Both the service and the food was amazing! Atmosphere casual and comfortable, food came super fast. No rush dining, delicious vegan food with an incredible list of options (even soups and dim sum). Everything was so tasty, fresh, and flavorful. The servers are super kind, informative, friendly, honest and patient. Will be recommending!

The first time we went there, the food was really good, but this time it was super bland. We had to keep asking for chili oil, and even then they only gave us a very small amount. The servers were on their phones most of the time and seemed irritated when we asked for anything. On top of that, they gave us spoons placed directly on a dirty table that hadn’t been cleaned.

This place has such an extensive vegan menu that I had trouble deciding what I wanted, so I ordered a ton of takeout. To start, I got Cha Shui Bao, which has delightfully fluffy exteriors with a sweet and savory fake meat filling. I also got the fried sticky rice dumplings, which were mind-blowing — I’m not sure what their filling is, but it’s delicious. I got the veg shrimp steam rice roll, which I thought was fun to try. I also enjoyed trying the BBQ veg meat and pumpkin mushroom veg soup, and I ate both primarily for lunch the following day, so I can attest that they hold up well as leftovers. My entree was the laksa noodle soup, which I was so excited to see on the menu. It’s spicy in a way that really warms you up on a chilly evening. I also like that they separate the noodles and broth for takeout.
I definitely want to come back and try more of the menu in the future!

Buddha Kosher Vegetarian is a Chinese vegetarian restaurant where absolutely everything is delicious, with authentic flavors and very generous portions; what stands out most is its perfect take on traditional Chinese cuisine without losing intensity, making you want to come back again and again.

We are in NYC for 4 days now and this is the best service that we got. Menu is extensive, but prices are reasonable so easy to try multiple things. Everything we tried was super tasty. Will for sure come back again!

Service was so attentive and having tea brought out without asking 10/10. It reminded me of a family run business. Unfortunately I didn't like the food. Its not that it was cooked badly it just was salty and bland. But I'm used to English Chinese food so maybe it's just not to my taste which is fine.

Visited at lunchtime on a Saturday and was lucky to get a table for one ! It was busy!

Huge selection of vegetarian food and well priced dim sum. I particularly enjoyed the BBQ "meat".

Service was super quick, if maybe a little abrupt, but very enjoyable lunch!

Some places don’t even need a review.

They stand on their own.

Bodhi Kosher Vegetarian Restaurant is one of those places.

I’ve been coming here for some time now, and when I say the food is amazing, I mean it. Not just convenient. Not just affordable. Truly flavorful and consistent. You can feel the culture. You can feel the intention behind making sure people eat well.

The lunch special is incredible. I highly recommend it. The blackened fish on the lunch special is excellent. My personal favorite is the lamb. I also love the vegan fish with black bean sauce. Honestly, all of their sauces are on point. The jade dumplings are a must. I sometimes venture out and try something new, but I usually stick to those because they never miss.

The food is absolutely amazing.

Over time, they’ve included me into the family, and I really appreciate these ladies. Things happen sometimes, like anywhere, but they always find a way to correct it. That matters.

Christine is my beautiful friend, and I love her. She probably doesn’t even want the attention because all of them show up with smiles and warmth. But I would be remiss if I didn’t give her a shout out.

This place feels like home for me. It’s my little getaway. I come here to eat, to work, to relax, and just reset. I don’t tell too many people about it, but 2026, I’m sharing the love.

Thank you for being there in more ways than you probably realize.

Angelic K

Dear reader, just hit ‘Directions’ and get yourself over here. Or if you’re feeling organized and prepared, made a reservation first.

Never in my life have I had such an amazing assortment of vegetarian dim sum and dishes like this, and I fear nothing else will measure up. Food comes out quickly, the temperature is perfect, and the diverse spices and tastes keep you wanting to order even more.

I’ll be back soon!

Great gluten free dim sum. Had taro steamed and steamed home dumpling. It was flavorful and substantial. I can’t rate it completely because I only had a few, but my friend highly recommends it.

a must try for vegan dim sum in nyc! i came here on a sunday with no reservation and they found space for us despite it being quite busy. the menu is very extensive and it is so hard to choose which dishes you want. we ordered the xiao long bao, shrimp dumpling, char shui bao, and crispy duck. everything was delicious! the service was lovely and the food was so cheap considering how much you get - definitely the cheapest vegan meal i had on my nyc trip. i really recommend this place and can't wait to come back

Delicious dumplings and Dim Sum and all were vegan or vegetarian! The gluten free menu is also super helpful.

One big note: Do keep asking about which items are safe for your food allergies. Staff were wonderful. I had to take off one point for service because the plates weren't marked as gluten free, the staff didn't announce which plates were gf when they delivered food and it became hard to keep track after a while. It would be helpful to add allergen toothpicks to their dishes.

Shoutout to Kira who will always remember this story (don’t forget about the microwave). We ended up ordering way too many dishes so if you want to see the whole menu be sure to check out the pics below. Our only regret was not having enough stomach room to take it all down.

So I seen this restaurant review on righteous eats and bookmarked it on my IG until I made it to the restaurant. Yesterday night was the day that time and space opened up to allow me to take my husband here.

We had the vegan general tsos chicken which was my favorite dish of the night and I am absolutely aware that “tsos” is Americanized Chinese food. Maybe when I make my way back I’ll have the courage to try something more authentic.

I love bok choy and I especially love them braised in a white garlicky broth and this was not as potent and aromatic as I’d like it to be but it was good.

My husband did not enjoy the shiitake mushrooms and broccoli as much bc it definitely did have a distinct ocean flavor so I’m assuming they used some type of seaweed. I enjoyed it more than he did.

The vegetable rice is PACKED WITH VEGGIES and you get your full dose of fiber with this plate for sure.

The vegan ribs were very interesting and I should have got them tossed in sweet and sour sauce. The darker part gives pork flavor and the middle piece might be tofu.

I absolutely loved the complimentary black tea they give you at the start.

We had to wait to be seated which took about 15 minutes but it was nice to see everyone enjoying their food.

I’m interested in coming back to try some dim sum bc I could not make a decision bc the options were too vast.

I hope to come back with my mom and my kids at some point.

Thank you for having me.

The lunch menu provides incredible value for money! Small soup, main and green tea. All superb. Friendly service, good portions and so many interesting vegan options! I had the veg meats and basil sauce with brown rice as my main and loved it.

It was very busy but there were a lot of spaces and service was very quick despite the popularity.
