Blue is my favorite restaurant on Staten Island! The ambience is amazing, the service is always impeccable, and the food is DELICIOUS! My favorite is the octopus, and it’s always cooked to perfection.

My cousin had her doctorate graduation party there and we had a group of 50+ people, and the QUALITY was immaculate!! From someone who knows how difficult it is to serve that many people at once, they did an incredible job! Shoutout Jeff, he directed his staff so well and made sure everyone was pleased with everything. 10/10.

The neighborhood is sketchy, but the food is amazing. The views are relaxing.
Their lot is small so be prepared to street park, plenty of the latter if you don't mind walking around a minute.
We came here for a late lunch after spending two hours at Snug Harbor, and it turned into an amazing experience with my family. Our server, Kailen, welcomed us and seated us at a table with a beautiful view.

We tried two prix fixe meals: the salmon with salad and the NY strip steak. Each included margherita focaccia, a choice of salad or pasta, and dessert, all for $45–$55. The linguini with clams was full of flavor, and my steak was cooked medium well, exactly how I like it. I paired everything with a mango frozen margarita — truly the best I’ve had.

To finish, we shared a warm chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream and the Tartufo. Perfect ending to a wonderful meal.

Blue is a great spot to celebrate special occasions or simply enjoy time with loved ones. Definitely a hidden gem in Staten Island! We will definitely dine here again!
Excellent food, but being told our disabled child was “disrupting business” over one extra chair, in a half-empty restaurant that seats hundreds...yeah, that completely ruined the experience.

We made a 5:30 reservation for 4 people, then called to ask if we could make it 5 because my wife wanted to bring her disabled child.

Before we even arrived, we were told we would be forced out by 7:30. The entire dinner became stressful because my wife kept worrying about rushing through the meal before we got kicked out. I calmed my wife and went to confirm it myself because I genuinely thought there had to be some misunderstanding. So I walked up to a hostess and politely asked for clarification.

There wasn’t.

The hostess confirmed it in person while looking at ME like I was unreasonable for even asking. When I explained that this child rarely gets the chance to go out and this dinner actually meant something to the family, the manager doubled down and said adding one seat was "disrupting the business".

One seat.

In a restaurant that seats hundreds.

And by the time we were pushed out, the place was barely half full.

Again: the food was great. But hospitality is about how you treat human beings, especially when a small act of flexibility could mean the world to a disabled child and their family. Instead, we were made to feel like a burden for daring to ask for one extra chair.

Leaving this here so others can decide for themselves what kind of hospitality they support.
My husband and I absolutely love Blue Restaurant. It’s one of our favorite spots on Staten Island and we always have such a great experience there.

The service is amazing every time. Every waiter and bartender is friendly, attentive, and makes you feel welcome. The GM, Jeff, is the best and you can tell he really cares about making sure everyone has a great experience.

Every meal we’ve had has been delicious. We’ve also ordered the family to-go meals before and the portions are great — perfect when you want an easy dinner but still want really good food.

The drinks are fantastic too. My favorite is the espresso martini, and my husband has recently gotten into their old fashioneds. They always taste great and are beautifully presented.

And the view is incredible. Between the food, drinks, service, and atmosphere, it’s definitely one of the best places on Staten Island. Highly recommend!
You know a place is good when you’re thinking about the food and drinks days and weeks later. Blue is my absolute favorite restaurant. They won’t fill you up on filler breads and nonsense. You get the best and freshest cuts of meats, fish and veg with the absolute best flavors, melt in your mouth like butter kind of meats and fish. Their drinks are top notch, mixed and wines. Everything here feels very upscale and high quality like a place wealthy people from manhattan would go to except it’s more affordable and in Staten Island. Love love love this place and treat myself a few times a year. 10/10
Blue on Richmond Terrace is easily one of Staten Island's best waterfront spots. The Thai Calamari is the perfect crispy starter with a great kick, and the Pasta Carbonara is rich, authentic, and comforting. The standout, though, is the Stuffed Lobster Tail—generously filled and paired perfectly with their creamy risotto. Great vibes, attentive service, and even better food. Highly recommend!
We had a wonderful time last night celebrating our daughter's 40th birthday at Blue Restaurant. The service was outstanding. The food was fresh and delish with sizable portions. The atmosphere with the spectacular water views was amazing. We couldn't have asked for a more special occasion. We want to thank Jeff and his staff for the special attention and ease in making preparations. Our daughter said it was exactly as she had imagined. We highly recommend having your next celebration at Blue restaurant.
They remodeled the viewing area.
Have lots of memories at this place with my family. Birthday, new job, promoted, each year comes here to celebrate important moments in life.
Ever since I moved to New York, I’ve been recommended to try this place. For my birthday, we decided to go there, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience. Of course, you need to make reservations, so plan accordingly. Prices are obviously New York-style, so be prepared for a bit of a splurge.

Now, let’s talk about the menu and drinks. The menu was diverse and exciting, and the drinks had a classic yet modern twist.
We went last week to celebrate our anniversary and was not disappointed! The food was delicious and the service was great. The weekday/night prix fixe menu was a fabulous bargain- portions were generous! Beautiful sunset views! We will most definitely be back!
Very nice restaurant with a pretty good choice of dishes. We ordered fresh oysters, some appetizers and side dishes, plus drinks. Though we ordered half a dozen of oysters, the platters of one dozen came, which was not so bad. The only disappointment was the plate with two super small octopus tentacles. They were tender and soft, but more on a boiled side. I haven’t seen such a small plate of octopus, especially for $18. Margaritas were good. Plus we had a nice table overlooking the water.
WOW. AMAZING. My partner and I are visiting from Ohio for Mother’s Day weekend and we decided to go to Blue to celebrate. This was our first experience and oh my gosh.. I’m so impressed!! The food, service, views, ambiance were ALL on point. I absolutely cannot wait to return! Thank you so much for making it a great mother’s day celebration!!!!
The Blue is a great restaurant with an amazing view of the water.

The food was amazing. We got the tuna club and the chicken burrata. Both were really good with no complaints. The soup of the day was very flavorful it's a shame that there wasn't a lot of soup in it.

The staff were all really nice and responsive.

It's really close to the Snug Harbor. It's only a couple of minutes from there. I definitely recommend this restaurant.
We really enjoyed our lunch time at Blue. Not only food is great, service and atmosphere are wonderful. They have waterfront view. Waitress told us lunch menu is new and I’m amazed how delicious they are. We love all of them. Brunch menu is only available on Sunday. Will definitely come back to try their brunch and dinner. Parking lot small only fits few cars, but plenty of street parking nearby.
