There’s just something about grabbing a slice of pizza in Manhattan that feels like a true New York experience, and Bleecker Street Pizza absolutely lived up to the hype. This spot came highly recommended, so we had to check it out while exploring the city, and it did not disappoint.<br><br>The place had a great vibe from the moment we walked in — busy, energetic, and filled with that classic NYC pizza shop atmosphere. The display counter full of fresh pies instantly makes it hard to choose just one slice. We went with a loaded veggie slice packed with broccoli, mushrooms, olives, peppers, onions, tomatoes, and plenty of melted cheese. The crust had that perfect New York texture — thin, slightly crispy on the bottom, but still soft enough to fold. Every bite was flavorful and fresh.<br><br>What makes places like this special is how simple but satisfying the experience is. Just walking in, grabbing a hot slice, and sitting among locals and tourists while the city buzzes outside feels very “New York.” The outdoor seating area was packed, adding to the lively atmosphere, and you can tell this is a favorite stop for people exploring Manhattan.<br><br>If you’re in New York and craving classic pizza by the slice, Bleecker Street Pizza is definitely worth the stop. We came late and it was pretty busy, but the line moved super quickly and we got our pizza within 10 mins. We ordered slices of the margarita pizza and some of the garlic knots. The food was delicious and the vibes were great. Will definitely be returning!

best sicilian slice i’ve ever had in my life. the dough is perfect and the sauce is so good i’d drink it by itself. so thick and delicious i went back twice in one week just for that one slice. 10/10 recommend.<br><br>one critique - they need to open up their customer washroom again.

We were told this is one of the places to have authentic NYC pizza. It was excellent. The garlic knots were also amazing. Wet with garlic butter!

Some of the best pizza I've had in New York. Much better than overrated tourist spots (eyeing you, Joe's). The crust was more robust without compromising on any of other other facets of a classic NY slice. Highly recommend getting a drizzle of hot honey on your slice.<br><br>They're open SUPER late, until 4:30am, if I remember correctly. They also have ample seating and a restroom. Seems like a recipe for the perfect final destination after a night-out.

Was told about this place several times , finally made it and glad I did. Went before lunch. Walked up and ordered a slice of pizza and was impressed. It had great flavor, the perfect balance of sauce, cheese and seasoning. The crust had mild crispness to it and great texture and flavor. Found my favorite New York style pizza. I can't wait to try the other selections.

Me and my wife had recently got married and as party of our mini honeymoon we visited NYC. As Pizza lovers we had our research done. So we went to west village to try out the pizza slice hype in the local area of Bleecker street and surrounds. Some of the other well rated places had large queues.<br><br>Greg and the team in Bleecker street not only created a great atmosphere and had an interest in us as customers but their pizza slice was definitely the best we had in NYC, not alone in the local area.

Good not great. Solid slice, though. Just no wow factor for me personally. It was good but prince street is much better at this slice. Liked the vibe of the place and staff was friendly. A good option if you’re in the area. Much better than Joe’s.

Honestly, it's nothing to write home about. The Nona Maria pizza was just meh and the base so 'toasty' it bordered on burnt and literally crumbled like toasty does. The garlic knots were better but I've had much better in NYC. T make matters worse, was how rude the black haired lady at the cashier was. Not a smile, not a reply to your greeting...yeah, terrible service.

One of the best pizzas in the city. We didn’t plan on eating here originally. Since Mama Too’s line was so long, we settled here. We did not regret it. The crust was so crispy and the sauce and cheese were the best. It was so good that I visited again on a separate trip. (The pictures are from two different visits)

Great experience at Bleecker Street Pizza. The thin-crust pizzas are crispy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Loved the relaxed ambience with comfortable seating, making it a nice place to sit, eat, and enjoy classic New York pizza.

How can you go wrong with NYC pizza? Basically impossible. The margherita slice is excellent, with a chunky red sauce, I forgot to take pics because it was that good. The pepperoni slice was solid too, nice crispy bites. The dough is super light, which I loved.<br><br>The grandma slice, though… 👎 very soggy and not great. When we went around 7:30 there was a long line, but 30 minutes later it disappeared. Worth the wait, just be strategic with your slice choices. 🍕

Everyone’s going to have their subjective opinion and that’s fair. For us, we managed to get some pizza and get a seat and really just enjoy our first slice of pizza anywhere in nyc. The guy right before us was given the wrong pizza but the team was very willing to work with him and was considerate and efficient all things considered. No business is perfect, especially when trying to meet the demands of both regulars and tourists. As for the pizza, the crust, sauce, cheese, quality, and quantity was perfect. Price was fair. Fairly impressed by the spot and inspired to imitate in my own kitchen.<br>Overall glowingly positive experience and hope to be back in for maybe even a whole pie. While exploring Bleecker Street, we stopped by Bleecker Street Pizza and tried a slice of the Nonna Maria — and it was absolutely awesome. The slice was perfectly cooked, flavorful, and easily up there with the best pizza we had in NYC. Unfortunately, we were already full from trying a lot of other places, but I’m so glad we made room for this one. Definitely a must-visit for pizza lovers in the city.
