Bamboo Walk Caribbean Restaurant

First time at Bamboo Walk and everything was great. The food was flavorful, the drinks were on point, and the atmosphere was nice and relaxing.<br><br>Fayanne was our waitress and she did an amazing job. She was friendly, attentive, and made some great recommendations. She suggested the Bamboo Star drink, which ended up being one of my favorites of the night. The oxtails were also delicious, tender, and full of flavor.<br><br>Great food, great drinks, and excellent service. I’ll definitely be back.

The ambiance of the restaurant was good. It was a bit on the darker side in terms of lighting. There is minimal parking in the lot. The food was ok but was a overpriced. The music was good but a bit loud, it was difficult to have a conversation. They add a 20% gratuity regardless of party size.

We came here to celebrate my cousin’s birthday and ended up having such a great overall experience. From the moment we sat down, Natasha was professional, friendly, and incredibly attentive throughout the visit. I went to the takeout side. The staff were pleasant and the rum punch was amazing. I loved the sorrel but it was a bit too sweet for me.

The customer service was wonderful, and the atmosphere was calm and inviting. However, I wasn’t really impressed with the food. As much as I’d love to give this place a 5-star rating, it just didn’t deliver that authentic Jamaican flavor.<br><br>The chef could step it up by using more traditional jerk seasoning on the chicken. While the chicken was fresh inside and out, it lacked that bold, signature taste. The oxtail was flavorful, but it could’ve been cooked down a bit more for better tenderness. The Asian wings were unfortunately too salty.<br><br>On a positive note, the drinks and appetizers were the highlight. The codfish fritters were a solid 10/10, and the complimentary bread, along with the excellent customer service, really stood out.

I’ve been wanting to come to this restaurant for quite some time. My birthday was two weeks ago and I reserved two tables, both for 830. I arrived at 8:15 and the place was very crowded.At 8:30 I asked if the two tables could be seated together or near each other.In hindsight I should’ve asked earlier in the day if that would’ve been possible. Initially, the hostess gave us tables that were close together, which I was OK with. When we finally were seated at around 9 o’clock, my table was on one side of the room, and the other table was on the way on the other side of the wall.. my guests at the other table were quite upset and they actually decided to leave. Our table remained and we had a decent time. Unfortunately, I had to have a conversation with one of the servers as she was a little per snippety with me. One of the managers alluded to the fact that I didn’t group my entire party together. I remembered someone telling me that they have a fixed priced menu for large parties. I believe they didn’t wanna accommodate me because I had two separate tables. Our bill came out to $533. They would’ve made more money if they would have accommodated us. The food was amazing. I will say that I’m not sure if I will be returning anytime soon because of the experience I had with management. They do have a drive-through, which is kind of cool. Overall, I had a nice time. I’m just not sure if I’ll be returning.

This was my first time ordering from this restaurant, and unfortunately I was disappointed. When my jerk salmon dinner arrived, the container was so cold that I actually touched the rice to confirm, and yep, it's cold. It was as if the rice and peas had been refrigerated, and possibly reheated rather than freshly prepared.<br><br>The delivery was also frustrating. The Uber driver left my food on the floor outside my apartment door without ringing my bell or following the instructions to bring it upstairs and hand it to me. I only realized it had been delivered because I received a text from the restaurant. Keep in mind that I had provided, that he did not follow, and it could be because he had already received his tip.<br><br>Because the order was placed through the restaurant’s website, a tip was required, but there was no option to adjust it afterward despite the delivery issue.<br><br>I also attempted to contact the restaurant, but there was no answer after pressing the prompt to speak with a manager. I do understand the manager was likely dealing with customers.<br><br>As I write this review, I haven't even had the chance to reheat and taste the food, which adds to the overall disappointment. I've never written a review before consuming the food.<br><br>I’m sharing this respectfully in hopes that both food quality and delivery coordination can be improved.

I have driven past this restaurant several times and didn’t know what delights were within. I enjoyed well prepared lamb chops. The sweet and spicy chicken wings appetizers had a crispy texture and was not overcooked. I especially enjoyed the assortment of spreads for the warm bread. And the deserts! Wow!! All that with great attentive service from the staff. We were warmly greeted upon arrival and quickly seated. Our server arrived immediately and it was just an amazing experience. Oh! The music 🎶 we were there for karaoke night - and the other patrons did not disappoint!! Even the chef chimed in! The atmosphere 💕 A Great time was had indeed. I will return for sure.

I’m so late with this post. My sisters and I came to Brooklyn to visit a bridal store, Pantora, And were recommended this restaurant. From greeting to seating, the ambience was beautiful. The staff was so warm and friendly. Everyone paid attention and gave us the upmost service. It was almost like we were part of their family. The food portions were large and well worth it. The food was so flavorful, and the drinks were exquisite. We are actually scheduled to go back for my sister‘s birthday all the way from New Jersey Monday. We actually begged to have them open one closer in New Jersey, must visit. I can imagine the weekends being so much fun in the evening. This will definitely be my spot when in the area. Sorry, didn’t remember everyone’s name from the bartender to the server to the hostess. You were all amazing and deserve five stars.

This review is based solely on being underwhelmed with my dining experience. Stopped in for lunch and ordered what I thought was a quick simple meal choice. I was unimpressed with the food for sure. The chicken had very little flavor and the mashed potatoes tasted like they came out of a box. That being said the biggest surprise were all the added charges to the bill. A $37 plate with juice turned into $70. As you can see from my receipt they included mashed potatoes on the order but upsild men$10 for it. The other part was a 20% gratuity for a party of one???. Never again! This place is crossed of my list. Eater beware.

First time at this restaurant. I have to say the food, customer service the vibes absolutely amazing! They even had a DJ that played all the right songs and it wasn’t loud. It was perfect!

I really enjoyed my visit to the restaurant. I went for my birthday two days ago and enjoyed every moment with my husband and daughter. Mrs. Fayanne is a sweetheart; she treated us very well. We'll definitely be back.

I came here to celebrate my son's birthday. I have never been here before, and I must say from the time we walked in until the time we left it was a GREAT experience. We were greeted by the most pleasant hostess. The ambiance was so very inviting. Our waitress Natasha was a joy. And when I say the food was DELICIOUS, it is definitely an understatement! We started off with calamari, sweet chili wings and cod fritters. My son had the surf and turf and it didn't stand a chance. I ordered the steamed snapper, and couldn't finish it. (It was huge, lunch for tomorrow!) It was a great last minute birthday celebration!<br>I will definitely be returning 🥰

This restaurant is an absolute gem! I celebrated my birthday here and it was nothing short of greatness. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with friendly staff and a cozy, inviting atmosphere. Our server Jackson was great with our group of 7. The food and drinks were good. As a caribbean restaurant which is known for giving bad attitude they exceed our expectations. We also let Natasha the supervisor know they are doing a good job and we will definitely return.
