The atmosphere is modern Greek and beautiful. Our service was impeccable. The food was great. My only suggestion is on the Horta. Didnt seem much wild greens in there. Was watery and unflavorable. Other than that is was great. We had a party of 8 and we received a ton of attention from everyone. The baklava oldfashioned was a hit. The snapper whole fish was excellent. The king prawn dish was wonderful. The filet mignon was perfect. I am sorry I do not remember the name of our waiter but he was great. He helped us serve a cake we brought for a birthday. I hope that helps. Everyone a must stop.

I went yesterday for the first time. I wanted to go to Le Bar Penelope, but he was closed for a private event. So I decided to come here because the atmosphere pulled me in. I went to the bar with a friend, and it was amazing. The person who served us was great and very professional, even though a woman was really nasty to him and threw napkins at his face. He was fantastic. I wish I could remember his name, but he’s the main reason why I will be returning. He was attentive and kind and very sweet.

The food was great and I love that it’s kid friendly! I saw a couple of families with their children there. The music was fantastic and you’re surrounded by well dressed people. I felt like I was on a mini vacation somewhere. I wasn’t able to take much pictures because I was too invested in the food and mostly people watching lol. I will be returning with my children and I will be returning by myself.

Avra was truly exceptional. The manager, Mazin, welcomed us and ensured with wit, charm & dexterity the evening far surpassed the dining norm in quality, care and thoughtfulness. He’s one-of-a-kind. Our server, Val, was also 10 / 10 and took superlative care of us down to every detail. We tried a variety of appetizer, main course, beverage and desert options and every item was superior to the same in competing establishments. This was a highlight of our trip to New York and we will return on future trips.

This restaurant came highly recommended and I I can see why. Great location. We walked over after seeing a Broadway show. Food and service were excellent. Cocktail was perfect. Large wine list. Avra chips were recommended by the waiter and they were very good. This establishment was not cheap but worth it.

We had a great experience here Tolga truly made our night. He gave us excellent recommendations for both food and cocktails — everything was spot on. Friendly, attentive, and very professional. Highly recommend asking for Tolga if you visit!

I had the pleasure of visiting Avra Madison this past Easter Sunday, and it was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment you walk in, the space feels immaculate, effortlessly blending cozy warmth with a modern, refined elegance. The ambiance alone makes you want to linger for the entire afternoon. .
We stopped in for drinks and appetizers, and every detail, from the presentation to the flavors everything was thoughtfully executed. The atmosphere strikes that rare balance of upscale yet inviting, making it perfect for both a casual upscale stop-in or a full, indulgent evening.
It left such an impression on us that we’re already looking forward to coming back for a full dinner experience. If this was just a glimpse, I can only imagine how incredible the rest of the menu must be.

We came here for my birthday and had a really nice time overall. The server asked if we were celebrating anything and kindly offered me a complimentary glass of champagne, along with some hummus and bread to start, which was a great touch.

We ordered the whole branzino to share, and the server deboned it tableside, which was impressive. The fish was perfectly cooked and delicious. We also ordered truffle fries, but they turned out to be regular fries. We let the server know, but since we had already finished our main dish, we didn’t ask for a replacement. We had hoped they might remove it from the bill, but it was still charged, which was a bit disappointing.

After paying, we stayed a little longer to chat, and were so glad we did—the server surprised us with a complimentary birthday dessert. It came with two portions, which was really thoughtful, and we both enjoyed it. We would have missed it if we had left right after paying lol…

The ambiance was lively with a moderate noise level. Service was generally good, though it was a bit distracting when some staff were chatting behind our table at times.

Overall, a nice experience with a few small hiccups.

Beautiful expansive space with amazing service. The dishes were great with all 3 courses that we ordered being well represented and prepared. The fried eggplant and zucchini was very attractive but needed more salt after its too long hot oil bath. The hummus and olives and breads were very good but should have been rightsized for the number of people or we should have been advised to order 2 or 3. In general hummus is a shared app so it should be sized appropriately regardless and this was not. The mains were good. Pastas with seafood, fish dishes and steaks were all good but the accompaniments to the mains felt more like afterthoughts. My sea-bass was a lovely piece of fish sitting on an indistinguishable array of veg and potatoes that tasted of the tomato sauce it was in with little resemblance to what the actual item should taste like. The desserts were very good. The butter cake with ice cream was lovely and the olive cake was better than many other high end restaurants attempt that usually just ends up tasting like olive oil rather than a cake with the essence of olive oil. Avra’s version was exactly what the best version of an olive cake is supposed to be.

Top tier service, I’m talking white jackets and super friendly environment. Super attentive service, including full-blown table cloth changes. Food was incredible. However, portions were minuscule. The calamari was perfectly fried and tender, the ceviche was the tiniest flab of salmon I have ever seen in my life. Everything came in bite-size portions for about $40 a plate. Don’t get me wrong. The taste was phenomenal, but be prepared to stop at five guys on your way out for some real sustenance unless you want to have to remortgage your house. what are you again? I can’t emphasize the taste was incredible. Everything was perfectly cooked and the service was top-notch.

Limited veg options. Didn't care for the spinach and rice.. The service was on point as also the drink. Didn't order dessert. They were open Christmas day but were expecting to close early. Across from RC Music Hall, so a good place to grab a bite before or after the show.

Greek and Mediterranean restaurant. Modern large dining room with tables of all sizes. Good wine list and menu has a little bit for everyone. Food is outstanding and presented beautifully. Service is attentive and timely. The atmosphere is more friends and family enjoying a meal together. The Zucchini chips were amazing, thin crispy and with a tasty sauce. The Wagyu steak options are OK. Desserts are so delicious especially the Pistachio Gelato.

Arva Madison absolutely exceeded expectations! Everything from start to finish was exceptional. The meal started with their complimentary hummus which was flavorful, and such a great way to begin the night.

For appetizers, we had the octopus, crab cake, and classic spreads — all delicious and beautifully prepared.

The Swordfish and Chilean sea bass were cooked to perfection — tender, buttery, and full of flavor. The sides deserve just as much praise — the lemon potatoes were bright and comforting, and the truffle fries were addictively good.

Cocktails were equally impressive. The Greek Tomatini, was smooth with a unique twist, and their Persephone’s punch was refreshing and well-balanced.

The atmosphere is elegant but comfortable, and the service was warm and attentive without being overbearing. If you’re looking for a refined Mediterranean experience in the city, Arva Madison is a must-visit!

My wife and I stopped by for dessert and a drink. The staff was excellent. The atmosphere was lively. It is an astetically beautiful space and huge with a full basement area as well. The baklava was the best I ever tasted. My wife and I will definitely return for dinner and the full experience. Overall an awesome experience!

My friends recommend this restaurant and I decided to take my mom on a date. Omg, the food is delicious. And the cocktails, yummmm. We tried 3 different dips for appetizer, swordfish was my main course. It was so tender, juicy and tasty I am still dreaming about it. Great service and nice ambiance. We booked table in advance. Don't know if they take walk ins.
