Made a dinner reservation for 2 on a Sunday evening. Was sat right away by the big LED screen. Kaha and the rest of the team were extremely attentive. We ordered a variety of dishes and everything came out extremely quickly. Would definitely be back (:

Located near the United Nations Headquarters, this restaurant specializes in Georgian cuisine. The entrance is discreet, and the interior feels almost like a cave—charming in its own way, though mobile reception is practically nonexistent.

Service, however, leaves much to be desired. Plates were cleared without even asking, more reminiscent of a casual street stall than a sit-down restaurant. The food itself was quite good, but the overall experience would benefit greatly from more attentive service.
I’m a big fan of Georgian cuisine!
Aragvi is a lovely restaurant with a wide menu and delicious dishes.
The eggplant rolls are always a hit for me, either as an appetizer or a main course.
The adjaruli was good, though I wouldn’t say it’s the best I’ve ever had.
The lamb chops were cooked perfectly and came with a generous portion.
The pork ribs were crispy and tasty. The borscht was flavorful.
The only thing that didn’t quite hit the mark for me was the salmon; I’m not a huge fan of it.
I definitely recommend trying Georgian wine,
it’s undeniably delicious, and you’ll find yourself wanting more!
@annsrz in Beli
Our first time trying Georgian food, and it was an amazing experience!
We started with some drinks, and I highly recommend the Aragvi Cocktail.
For appetizers, we had the Lobio Salad and Adjaruli, followed by the Lamb Ojakhuri and Shkmeruli.
Everything was delicious, and we will definitely come back.
10/10 service!
Response from the owner
Thank you for the review
Next time you visit our place try our “lucky duck” or “lamb fist”. Absolutely amazing unique taste. Highly recommended.
I went there just to try the Royal Chalahach, and it was, without a doubt, the best lamb chops I have ever eaten. It was tender, juicy, and with a golden smoky crust but still pink and succulent inside. It had a smoky, savory, and rich flavor with a caramelized exterior sprinkled with crushed pistachios. It seems the fat got melted into the meat while being grilled because it had a robust, savory taste that even the bones captured the flavor of t he condiments utilized in its elaboration. I loved even the presentation. It was beautifully adorned with baked potatoes and salad. It was extraordinary worthy to try! 👍
We’ve been to Aragvi so many times, and it never disappoints. Every visit feels just as special as the first. The food is incredibly authentic and full of flavor, you can really tell the dishes are made with care and tradition in mind.

Our go-tos are the khachapuri, khinkali, and mtsvadi which are always perfectly done, but honestly, everything we’ve tried has been amazing. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, making it a great spot whether you’re going out for a casual dinner or celebrating something special.

The staff are always friendly, attentive, and welcoming, which keeps us coming back again and again. This place has easily become one of our favorites. Highly recommend to anyone looking for authentic Georgian food in the city.
The food and service was amazing. The waiters were very detailed and thorough in their inquiries, staying from the drink, where one of the waitresses asked me if I wanted lemon on the side with the hot water. I was taught how to properly eat Khinkali for the first time. The honey cake was to absolutely die for.

I must plan a Georgia trip just to have more honey cake :)
This is THE best place with Georgian cuisine! Everything we ordered (photos attached) was incredibly fresh and absolutely delicious.

A few friendly warnings:
1. Be ready for genuinely warm hospitality and some of the best food you’ll ever have.
2. After your first visit, this place will become your default choice every time you plan to go out, no exaggeration.

Consider yourself warned, this spot ruins all others in the best way possible 🫶
This restaurant was amazing from start to finish. They were very accommodating when I made my reservations. We had to cancel because the weather in New Jersey and they accommodated in the day of the reservation and let me cancel and make new reservations and then they were so nice and accommodating that I was running late for my reservations the day we came also and they still were able to have a table for us and the food was amazing and atmosphere was the best service. It was the best service I ever have had hands-down. It was not a dirty playlist on the table and everything came out very quick and they're very attentive and it was some of the best food I've ever eaten was amazing.
Absolutely amazing experience at Aragvi! Every dish was full of flavor and beautifully presented.
But the lamb was truly next-level, melt-in-your-mouth perfection. Honestly, everything was delicious. Warm hospitality and a cozy vibe made it even better. Can’t wait to come back! 🧡
Really enjoyed this place. Trying to find a place like it for years. My first taste of Georgian food in the US, and it didn’t disappoint! I got to try the Adjaruli khachapuri, Adjaruli ayran, khinkali, and matsoni yogurt, as dessert.

Everything was absolutely delicious and very fairly priced, in my opinion. The khachapuri was a Georgian classic, and recommended by the staff. They mixed it right in front of me! Very cheesy, very evenly distributed surprisingly. The edges are buttery and still crispy, my favorite part! You can dip them in the middle as well. Very very good.

The khinkali were equally delicious. 4 juicy dumplings with a top that makes them perfect for flipping, drinking the juice, and then eating the whole thing. Staff gave directions on the process! It’s still messy, but well worth it. The filling and the soup are so flavorful and tender, just perfect.

Earlier, I went to another NYC restaurant to try ayran, and discovered I was obsessed with it, so I ordered it here too. It’s supposed to be their Georgian take on it. Not sure how authentic it is, but it was still pretty tasty. I do think I preferred the other place more, but the presentation on this one (came in a clay container, foamy at the top) was great.

Finally, I ended the meal with some delicious yogurt as a dessert: Matsoni. Absolutely loved it. Very creamy, slights undertones of sweetness. They added honey and almonds as well. Just perfect. Highly recommend it!
Great atmosphere and great food!! It was our first time trying a full Georgian meal and every dish exceeded our expectations. They do politely ask for reviews at the end so that might explain their extremely high rating, but they definitely deserve all five of their stars ⭐️
What a cute and cozy spot! Never had Georgian food before, so I was excited to try it out.

My group of 4 shared:

- Chef's Khinkali: basically giant and thick soup dumplings! You hold it using the dough stem, which was pretty cool.
- Adjaruli: you can't go wrong with this as a cheese lover. I definitely could've eaten one by myself.
- Royal Chalahach (lamb chops): loved the pistachio sauce on this. Lamb was cooked perfectly
- Lucky Duck: super tender and on the sweeter side. The group really enjoyed this
- Honey Cake (dessert): Huge hit with the group as well, perfect dessert to end the night.

I loved the food and definitely want to come back to try more of their menu. Our server was really nice, all her recommendations were spot on. In total with a few drinks came out to $240ish.
Excellent food and service. Our waitress Nina was great to work with making many recommendations. For appetizers try the Kubdari and Mhlovani, a good option to share with friends. Additionally the Pkhali is a tasty and unique option. For the main course the Georgian stake was the top choice however the chicken and pork were also excellent. Our first experience with a Georgian restaurant, we will definitely be back.
Wonderful ambiance,
amazing Georgian dishes and wine… warm atmosphere and attentive service.
Thank you so much for the hospitality.
My favorite was the matsoni (yogurt) dessert. ❤️

Special thanks to our server, Saba.. 🤍
