Applebee's Grill + Bar

This was the most horrible, ridiculous experience ever. The wait time for seat was not bad but the booth my family and I were seat smelled like urine. 20 minutes late the waitress shows up with an attitude. 1 drink(Pepsi) overfilled with ice for a party of 5 where was the other drink 15 minutes later, we order food at same time we ordered the drink. Every dish came cold and some uncooked. We then had to request our meal that didn’t arrive yes to be packed to go. Not forgetting the fact that we had to ask for utensils and other necessities a restaurant should have had out on table before guess sat down. We were waiting more than 1 and 1/2 hour for our meals with taking attitude from the server . THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO PROFESSIONALISM, NO KINDNESS, NO RESPECT AND NO CARE OF WHAT PEOOLE EAT OR NOT. IT ID COMPLETE TARNISH BY THE UNTRAINED workers and / HARD, FLAVORLESS, OVERCOOKED SALTY FOOD…….

I had a great experience at Applebee’s thanks to our server, Chrisand the manager Mayra. From the moment we were seated, he was friendly and attentive. He checked in atthe right times and our food came quickly. Great service and attitude. He made my cousins and I laugh all night. If you’re coming to this location, definitely ask for him you won’t be disappointed!

I’m extremely disappointed with how my recent experiences were handled at the Applebee’s in Elmont.<br><br>A few weeks ago, I dined there with my husband and two children. My family and I are loyal, frequent customers, and I typically order the Fiesta Lime Chicken®. During this visit, I suddenly felt my throat starting to close. Upon checking my food, I discovered a slice of mushroom hidden underneath my chicken—despite the fact that this dish does not include mushrooms and I am highly allergic.<br><br>My husband immediately informed the manager and explained the severity of my allergy. Instead of providing proper assistance, he had to leave and go to Target to purchase Benadryl for me. While the manager did address the kitchen staff, the situation itself was extremely serious and could have been life-threatening.<br><br>The following day, a supervisor named Matt contacted me to apologize and invited my family to return, assuring us that our next meal would be fully covered.<br><br>On Easter, I decided to give the location another chance. I called ahead, confirmed the arrangement with Matt, and dined in with my family. Before leaving, I spoke to him and he reassured me that the bill was taken care of.<br><br>However, about an hour after leaving, I began receiving multiple calls and text messages accusing me of leaving without paying. When I spoke to Matt, his tone completely changed. He complained about how much my family ordered, claimed he was only offering a discount (which was never mentioned), and insisted I return to pay. He also brought up conditions—like ordering the same meal—that were never discussed beforehand.<br><br>This entire situation was handled unprofessionally and unfairly. Not only did I experience a serious allergic reaction due to the restaurant’s mistake, but I was later made to feel accused and disrespected after being told our meal would be covered.<br><br>A $150 bill is not worth the risk to my health or the way my family was treated. I will be escalating this matter to corporate.

Decided to get dinner tonight, and was sat by Chris almost immediately. He was very quick with getting us our waters and food, and also very friendly and funny. On top of having great service, the manager on shift was very on top of making sure the customers had a great experience, and was attentive. Would come back!

Went in today looking for a quick meal with a friend, but had an unexpected great experience with our waiter Chris and the manager Matt. They were very attentive and helpful to anything we needed assistance with. Chris was immediate with finding a spot for us on the floor and even gave us our preference of a booth. His service from that point on was great. We were checked in on multiple times during our meal and he was also super friendly. Our food was sent out quick and still piping hot. No notes on this location, honestly one of the better experiences I’ve had at Applebee’s. We will be back!

Such a great value for the food which was DELICIOUS! The service was great and my sister and I really enjoyed our meal and the atmosphere.

We go to this Applebee's before going to the Islanders games at UBS.<br>It is decorated with pictures of the local high school and college sports teams as well as pictures of local police and firefighters which I appreciate.<br>When we go it's usually happy hour and we are able to get happy hour pricing of we sit at a booth in the bar area or at a table in the dining Room.<br>We have never had a 'bad' server but of course some are better than others.<br>The food is always consistent and Applebee's always seem to have some some gererous promotion going on to make the meal more affordable.<br>The food is tasty and the drinks are cold, what more could you ask for.<br>There is also always a manager visible during our visits.<br>It can get crowded even at the bar but the crowd seems like all great people who just want to enjoy a beer and a burger etc.

Have not eaten at Applebee's in 16 or so years. The food quality has declined badly. It was mid week, I wanted something quick but healthier than the fast food option. Opted for the mashed potato and grilled chicken breast. They were out of broccoli but offered garlic green beans. The chicken breats was dry? As if it has been cooked and sitting. It was also semi cold. How do you mess up mashed potatoes?? It was good 15 years ago..who's idea was it to change it. The server was great! He had little to work with and that was not his fault.

Servers are way too slow, this is my 2nd time...same experience. The restaurant isn't busy and Im waiting for my food thinking they must have forgotten...on 2 different occasions. Servers and workers are auper nice...but the wait time for your order is ridiculous.

Horrible horrible horrible service here this place needs to be reported to corporate theres clearly no management you walk in everyone looms at you like if you have three heads, what type of restaurant doesn't have a host in the front to greet! The place was dead dead for a Saturday night i placed a togo order at 8:38pm, APPLEBEES APP SAID ORDER WAS READY 9:03 i arrive at 9:04 i have to BOTHER it seems a waiter to direct me where to go theres already ppl waiting for their orders it took 20 minutes for someone to finally come up and even acknowledge i was there, the lady next to me said she was there from 8:40 and it was already 9:11pm and get this….when the waitress finally came the food was already ready down below behind the corner, so they had us standing there for 20 minutes maybe even longer looking like idiots. Oh and they tell me at the end they didn't what i had order(not a big deal) but cmon…i ordered shrimp for a app and they out 5 shrimp in the container..

Always our go-to. Food is good, little loud but lively atmosphere after 10pm. Tables could be cleaner

I don't want to say it was the hungry talking but those boneless wings were delicious 😋. I am definitely going back to eat and drink my fill. My burger was cooked to 🥰 perfection.

I hope the management sees this and gets to work on this after seeing the review of many people.<br>The staff is really laid back even when it gets busy, we sat down there for almost 20 mins to get served, we called the server who was walking by to just get a glass of water as we were walking. I tried calling another server said sorry your server have to serve it. After seeing this we just thought to just order a little appetizer and walk out from there. This place honestly needs attention with customer service. I hope this gets some solution to this existing customer service problem. May come back after a long time and change the review status.

It was honestly such a nice place. We got seated quickly. The food was great. The worker was lovely, her name is Keyoshia W. She was really sweet when we asked her if we could move our seats. The atmosphere was nice. We got 2 strawberry lemonades and 1 strawberry banana smoothie. Usually the lemonades are too strong but this one was just right. The wings where good and so was everything else. Would 100% come again.

This Applebee's has a very diner vibe to it. It's small but very home-y and chill. The server we got is really really nice, and polite! Food is better than okay, but not mindblowingly good. The place is quite clean and the environment is nice. Overall a really really good experience! Would recommend this place to people who wants to eat good food with cheap price!
