Food was flavorful, but the service was bad. We were a group of 4 and asked to sit at one of the round Korean BBQ tables for a more authentic experience, but were told they were reserved for groups of 6+. The restaurant was mostly at a 15-20% capacity, and throughout our meal several of those tables were occupied by groups of 1–3 people (curiously all of whom appeared to be Korean/Asian). When I politely pointed this out at the end, the server argued that those guests had tricked her by supposedly telling her more people were coming to fill the 6spots at each table, which honestly felt hard to believe.

There were also a number of service issues: we were initially seated under a strong AC vent and had to ask to move, a Diet Coke we ordered never arrived but was still added to the bill, and a simple side of plain rice took over 15 minutes to come out.

The menu is also quite gimmicky, heavily focused on the “buy 2 get 1” promotion to the point that we almost missed the rest of the offerings.

Music was great, by the way.

Response from the owner

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We're glad you enjoyed the food and music, but we're sorry that several aspects of the service fell short of expectations.

We apologize for the confusion regarding seating, the missed beverage, and the delay with your order. This is not the level of hospitality we aim to provide. Your feedback has been shared with our team so we can review these issues and improve moving forward.

We appreciate your honest comments and hope you'll consider giving us another opportunity in the future.

The service was so fast and the hospitality was amazing! Really enjoyed how intimate the space was as well! The portions are huge too for the lunch special!

While the food was quite good in this interesting spot, its service was subpar - from refusing to take cash to failure to pay attention to the table for the entire duration of the meal, the staff simply had no interest in providing service when there were only two tables occupied. There are plenty of Korean spots nearby with better service.

Response from the owner

Thank you for your feedback. We're glad you enjoyed the food, but we're sorry to hear that the service did not meet your expectations. Providing attentive hospitality is important to us, regardless of how busy the restaurant may be. We'll share your comments with our team and work to improve. We appreciate you giving us a try and hope we'll have the opportunity to provide a better experience in the future.
Love this place! Its a bit difficult to find then you’ll have to go through 3 flights of stairs. I love the vibe of this place, they have a makeshift stall inside. They also have a deal going on where you can get 2 entrees and a free appetizer. I chose yukhoe but unfortunately were out of it. I had the bulgogi fries and kimchi jjigae. Both were phenomenal!

Response from the owner

Thank you for the wonderful review! 😊 We're glad you found us and enjoyed the atmosphere, bulgogi fries, and kimchi jjigae. Sorry again that the yukhoe was unavailable during your visit. We appreciate your support and look forward to serving you again soon!
This spot is nestled up on third floor above Wonjo under a karaoke owned by the same hospitality group. The location remains pretty good considering it is in K-Town. Stairs are not too high a climb, and the interior has a good amount of seating. It gets popular at night, and is more of a drinking spot.
For lunch, they offer bap bowls. The advertising at the ground level, however, is not all accurate. Not all items on it exist anymore. For example, they do not offer cold noodles anymore.
What they do offer is done simply and well. The soy bibim rice bowl is surprisingly rich with a chili sauce and mayo. The tofu is fried well and provides a good focal point amid the vegetables.
Overall, a nice spot to grab some well-composed rice bowls.

Response from the owner

Thank you for the detailed review! We’re glad you enjoyed the space and the bap bowls—especially the soy bibim and crispy tofu.

We appreciate the note about the signage and menu accuracy. We’ll review and update it to avoid confusion. Thanks again for the feedback, and we hope to see you back soon!

Me and my friends went there for dinner. We ordered something soupy (I forget the name), LA Galbi, teopokki, and japchae. Everything was nice and delicious but the rice is very dry. I couldn’t finish the rice.
Btw, order their LA galbi it’s really good! Meat is tender and tasty.
Japchae also nice chewy and has different texture unlike the japchae I had before. It’s uniquely good.

Response from the owner

Thank you for your detailed feedback! We’re glad you enjoyed the LA galbi, tteokbokki, and japchae—it means a lot to hear that.

We’re sorry the rice didn’t meet expectations. We’ll look into this to ensure better consistency moving forward. We appreciate your support and hope to see you again soon!

Came here after a long workday and it was exactly what I needed. The food came out quickly and everything was delicious. I just wish the portion sizes were a bit larger, but overall it was a great experience. I’d definitely recommend this place and would come back again!

food was pretty nice, got the popcorn chicken, chicken katsu, and bulgolgi cupbop lunch special. super crispy katsu and i loved the sauce on the popcorn chicken. the bulgolgi was a little on the dry side and the rice came with an extremely unnecessary amount of mayonnaise. it was overall alright, getting over the fact that the rice was so filling due to so much mayo. if there was half the amount they put on there i would give this place a 5.

Response from the owner

Thanks for sharing your feedback! We’re glad you enjoyed the popcorn chicken, katsu, and the sauce. We appreciate your notes about the bulgogi and the rice—your feedback helps us improve. We hope you’ll give us another try and see an even better experience next time!

Stopped by this establishment over the weekend in the evening when we were craving some Korean food. The restaurant is tucked away upstairs from street level and easy to overlook, but signage outside can help you locate it.

Upon entry, the atmosphere was inviting with the room dimly lit and cozy. The service itself throughout our meal was fine.

We ordered the Truffle Jjajang Ramyun ($18.95), Kimchi Jjigae ($30.95), Street Combo with Katsu ($23.95), Pork Galbi BBQ ($27.95), and a White Peach Cocktail ($17). Everything except the cocktail is pictured below. For a group of six, our bill came to around $150 before tips. Despite the dishes tasting decent, the small portions and steep prices left nothing to write home about.

This seems more like a spot to enjoy a drink and a light bite rather than a full dining experience. It’s also worth noting that you get 10% off if you pay with cash. There was a spinning wheel by the reception area, although it appears there's a fee to play.

If ambiance and getting a light bite is your priority, this spot could be worth a visit.

Response from the owner

Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed experience! We’re glad you enjoyed the cozy atmosphere and our dishes. We appreciate your feedback on portion sizes and pricing—it helps us improve. Hope you’ll come back for drinks and light bites again soon!

Really good and cheap korean comfort food. The place has some chill vibes and atmosphere. I tried the Bulgogi CupBob and the Chicken Teriyaki CupBob and both dishes were rich in flavor and personality. Highly recommended

There are so many Korean restaurants in NYC’s Koreatown and sometimes it’s hard to choose which to go. I learned of Anytime Kitchen on social media so I figured I’ll try them out. Good thing we did but we were thoroughly impressed. The portions were generous and each dish had its unique, bold, and rich flavors. An absolute delight! The overall vibe was super cool and chill. A great place for a date or a casual hang out spot with your friends and family.

Response from the owner

Nice eatery, upstairs from the street..easy to miss.
Food was very nice and tasty, freshly made, nice selection of dishes to choose from to cover all options and staff were lovely.
Hotpot was very well managed, they present it to you cold and then the cook it in front of you and come back and keep an eye on it.

Response from the owner

Thank you so much for the kind review! We're glad you enjoyed the food, service, and the hotpot experience — it's great to hear it all made for a memorable visit. Hope to welcome you back again soon!

Awesome place to grab some delicious Korean food! This restaurant has a fun atmosphere- a good place for a date or night out with friends. They have deals/specials so look out for that on the menu depending on when you go. Everything we ordered was yummy. The food came out quick. Also, you get a discount for paying with cash which saved us some money on the bill. Would definitely come back again.

Response from the owner

Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We're thrilled to hear you enjoyed the atmosphere, the food, and the specials we offer. We're also glad that the cash discount helped make your experience even better! We look forward to welcoming you back for another great time with us. See you soon!
