Angel is a vibrant, happenings spot with a beautiful aesthetic and an energetic vibe that instantly draws you in service was so great !!! Food was delicious. All the dishes we ordered was yum. Also huge portion sizes.Dining at Angel was a truly memorable experience from the food to the atmosphere, everything stood out. The staff were friendly and attentive ,and the whole experience felt polished but still casual and comfortable . Overall, Angel is one of those rare places where every detail feels intentional, from presentation to flavor.A must-visit foranyone who loves indian food done right.

Ambiance (5/5): The inside is very pristine with an elevated feel. The staff wear suits!
Service (5/5): To circumvent the Friday night wait time without a reservation, we chose to sit at the bar top seating. It was uncomfortable since our knees bumped into the table. However, we did not have to wait! We had immediate service any time we wanted it because someone was always behind the bar.
Food (5/5): This is the best Indian food I’ve had in Queens!! Every since dish is packed with flavor, depth in the sauce and meats, and reasonably priced!! I liked how much sauce was in every dish.
Samosa was perfect. The Goat Mandras was my favorite with a sauce that has spice but not super spicy considering the red chili symbol. Chicken Tikka was also very good. My garlic naan was SO good, has a crunch on one side but airy soft to bite. Unlimited little rice bowls?! This will be our go-to Indian after our first experience.

Came for lunch on a weekday and were seated right away. We tried the goat madras curry and fish moilee. I liked the goat better and felt the fish was ok. The goat pieces were fairly tender and fell off the bone. We also had their garlic naan which was good. I tried their chai and felt it tasted almost medicinal instead of the usual aromatic spices in chai which I wasn’t a fan of. For dessert we had the Gulab jamun which was good as well.

The food was absolutely amazing! Authentic Punjabi flavors that truly felt like home. Every dish was rich, fresh, and full of taste. What made the experience even more special was meeting Chef Amrit, whose passion for cooking really shows in every bite. The hospitality and warmth were just as wonderful as the food. If you’re craving real Punjabi cuisine, this place is definitely a must-visit! 🇮🇳✨

I picked up food to go from here cause it was extremely packed. So firstly i want to say the food was just ok , it definetly did not add up to the expensive pricing. I really dont mind paying for pricey food as long as it adds up to how good it is. I ordered chicken tikka masala and a order of buriyani. The buriyani rice was different from the typical basmati used in this culture food, it seemed more like thick spanish rice. The chicken tikka masala had an intense spice kick to it, and really big pieces of peppers in it. I did not finish the buriyani entirely and the chicken tikka was also just ok. Ive had a lot better for a fraction of the price at a place called Dera down the block. Just being extremely honest. I dont think i will return. If your looking for a more desi touch this is not the place for it.

Delicious food. We made a reservation for my birthday dinner here and when we arrived we were promptly seated. The food was delicious and the balance of heat and spice were handled expertly. We will be back. Sometimes the hype is worth the visit.

Decent food but nothing special. The place is small and parking is a pain. Stick to the standard dishes—they’re better. Tried a few offbeat items and they were just okay taste-wise. Fine for a quick visit if you’re in the area.

Angel Indian Restaurant in Jackson Heights absolutely lives up to the hype—and the Michelin-star chef recommendation by Vikas Khanna feels well deserved. From the moment the food hit the table, it was clear this is a place that takes traditional Indian flavors seriously while executing them with precision and heart.

Amritsari Lassi
The meal started on a high note with the Amritsari lassi—thick, creamy, and perfectly balanced. Not overly sweet, not too tangy, just deeply refreshing and indulgent. It felt authentic, like something you’d get in Punjab, and was the perfect companion to the bold flavors that followed.

Samosa Chaat
The samosa chaat was a flavor bomb. Crispy samosas broken down and layered with chickpeas, yogurt, chutneys, and spices—sweet, tangy, spicy, and crunchy all at once. Each bite had contrast and depth, and it never felt soggy or heavy. Street food comfort elevated to restaurant-level execution.

Chicken Tandoori Starter
The chicken tandoori was beautifully cooked—juicy on the inside with a smoky, charred exterior. The marinade penetrated deeply, giving the chicken layers of flavor rather than just surface spice. The fresh herbs and chutney on the side added brightness and balance.

Goat Dum Biryani
The star of the meal. The goat dum biryani was rich, aromatic, and deeply satisfying. Long-grain rice infused with whole spices, tender goat that fell apart effortlessly, and that unmistakable dum-cooked aroma when you dig in. This is slow-cooked comfort food done right—robust, soulful, and memorable.

Amazing food

Food is heavily authentic, tasty, spices are really appropriate - fit for desi and Americans.

We asked for kid friendly masala food and they really made it to cater.

Would totally be back here again.

The Briyani is tasty dum, full of kind spices, vegetables and butter. The vegetables could have been cut into smaller pieces and it would be more tasty.

The staff are so well behaving, wonderful, friendly and serve with a smile. They even accommodated our special requests and win a 5 star to keep up their great work!!

Butter chicken is heavenly; garlic naan is on the chewy side; I like the chicken dum biryani but my party weren't impressed. The mango lassi is a good sweet drink.

Parking is next to impossible and without reservation, it's a one-hour wait on a Saturday afternoon.

I had an amazing experience at Angel with my family. The paneer was incredible and imo the best paneer in nyc. The service was also great and they were really accommodating. Our server Prathamesh was super kind and knowledgeable. We also had the amazing experience of meeting the chef and owner himself, Amritpal Singh, who happened to sit down next to us and eat with his family! We had a lovely conversation with him about his experiences and passion for cooking.

It was extra special because we were celebrating my dad’s birthday and they really made sure we had the best experience possible and also sang happy birthday and gave us some complimentary kheer.

Highly recommend the fresh lime soda, pani puri, samosa chaat, kadai paneer, and paneer kulcha! Will definitely be back soon.

One of the best Indian restaurants in NYC. Each dish we had topped the previous ones. We had a great samosa chaat and dahi batata puri. The dahi in the dahi batata puri was perfectly thick too. The lotus kofta and kadhai paneer then came out alongside the amritsari kulcha. Each item was incredibly flavorful. The piece de resistance was the dum biryani. The vegetables were perfectly cooked and felt tender.

The service was amazing too! I strongly recommend getting a reservation here as seating is a bit limited.

Delicious food , portions are large and each item cooked with care . I have never tasted biriyani in US that tastes as authentic. The biriyani has meat in large portion and is soft perfectly cooked and melts in the mouth . Our server Adbul was genuinely welcoming . This place is worth every penny spent here.
I am very glad we chose this from the list of about few … “10 best Indian restaurants” in NYC 😊

What a gem! First, food is delicious. I’ve never had naan so fresh and chewy. Yum. Vegan dishes (yay!) are clearly noted, too. One of the only places in the neighborhood that does this. Second, service is impeccable. Everyone at this place is so helpful and friendly. It really made our night. Charming little spot. Will definitely be back.
