Al Basha Dine Only is one of the best spots for authentic Middle Eastern food. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and served in generous portions. The staff is friendly, the service is fast, and the restaurant is clean and welcoming. Highly recommended for anyone looking for great quality food at a fair price

We arrived at the restaurant around 7:15PM, were seated shortly after, and our waiter was Ahmad.
We stayed until about 8:45PM, and unfortunately the service completely ruined the experience.

During the entire time, Ahmad never once checked on our table to ask if we needed anything. Dirty dishes were left sitting in front of us for a long time, and whenever we asked him for something, he would disappear. We ended up having to ask other servers multiple times because our own waiter was nowhere to be found.

I understand restaurants get busy, but basic customer service and attention should still exist. What made the experience even more frustrating was when the check arrived and I saw the automatic 18% gratuity included — that’s when I understood why he was being so careless about his job and service throughout the evening.
I have absolutely no problem paying 18% or even 25% for GOOD service, but tips should reflect the effort and quality of service provided. Customers should not feel ignored the entire evening while trying to get simple requests handled. Very disappointing experience overall.

Hopping scene for excellent kebabs perfect for à lazy Sunday afternoon. Service is prompt and crisp. The portions are generous. Meats are succulent and well seasoned. The back room felt a bit dark but the main restaurant is bright and well appointed! Great for groups too

Honestly, Al Basha in Paterson was more than an amazing experience. From the moment we walked in, the restaurant was very busy and crowded, so we had to wait for a table to open up. Even though there was a short delay, the manager himself, Mr. Wasim, came to personally apologize for the wait, which was very respectful and professional. About five minutes later, they seated us at a very nice table.

One thing that really stood out to me was their hospitality. I noticed they had an espresso and cappuccino machine, so I asked the manager if he could make me a coffee in a mug with latte art on top. He told me they normally don’t do that, but “for you, we will.” He asked Talal to make it for me, and Talal brought me the coffee exactly the way I wanted it — beautiful and delicious.

We ordered our main dish, and the server took our order on a tablet. The order went directly to the kitchen immediately, and they started preparing it right away, which was very organized and efficient.

Now for my honest opinion about the place:
The food was absolutely outstanding. You can truly taste the authentic Palestinian flavor in every dish. The Arabic hospitality and customer service were beyond excellent. I’ve been to many American, Spanish, Italian, Indian, and Chinese restaurants, but honestly, I have never seen service like the service at Al Basha.

The teamwork and cleanliness were unbelievable. The second a table became empty, one worker immediately cleaned it with soap, another prepared the plates, forks, spoons, and napkins, and another person cleaned underneath the table — all in less than a minute.

Everyone there greeted people with smiles, kindness, and respect. The atmosphere felt warm and welcoming.

I truly loved this place, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for authentic Arabic food and amazing grilled dishes.

Finally, I want to thank the manager Mr. Wasim again, and also thank Talal and Youssef. I don’t know the names of the rest of the staff, but I sincerely thank all the waiters and the wonderful Palestinian people for their kindness and hospitality.

Our visit to Al-Basha exceeded all expectations. The food was so perfectly balanced with flavor. The pita was fresh and warm served continuously. We had the mixed platter with all types of protein, salad and rice as well as the fresh hummus. We could not fully express how delicious all parts of the meal were. I highly recommend you snag a reservation ASAP.

Absolutely my favorite restaurant in the world. Amazing atmosphere, unmatched service and the best and most consistent food/restaurants. Their prices are also unmatched. It's a bit of a drive for me and everytime we want to celebrate anything or just want a good family meal out this is where we go. Well worth the drive (We drive over an hour form LI).

The do reservations on weekdays but not weekends. But they are also Soo good at keeping service flowing that even if you have 7-9 parties ahead of you, you'll still have a table within 30 minutes.

Al Basha dine-in was an amazing experience. The food was delicious, fresh, and full of flavor, and the overall atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Even though the wait was long because it was a Christian holiday and the restaurant was very busy, the staff handled everything extremely well and stayed professional the whole time.

A special thank you to Wassim for the amazing commercial gesture after we previously had a less-than-great takeout experience. That really showed class, care, and true professionalism. It made a big difference and turned things around for us.

Having worked in similar restaurants myself, I can honestly say you can tell when a place has a strong team, and Al Basha definitely does. The coordination, attitude, and service stood out. Great food, great hospitality, and a team that knows how to manage pressure the right way. We will definitely be coming back.

I definitely recommend making a reservation on weekends, especially during Ramadan it gets super packed and the wait can get long. We went later at night so we were lucky and got a table right away. The staff was really friendly and welcoming, and the food was really flavorful honestly some of the best Middle Eastern food I’ve had in a while. The portions were great, the prices were very reasonable, and the atmosphere inside is really nice and cozy. It does get a little noisy because of how busy it gets, so just keep that in mind. But overall, it’s a great place to enjoy with friends or family. I would 100% come back and recommend it to anyone looking for good food and good service.

Asalam aleikum love from PANAMÁ 🇵🇦 I definitely recommend this restaurant..If you are looking for authentic Arabic flavors, this is it.
The lamb was incredibly tender, and the babaganoush had that perfect smoky touch. Don't leave without trying the falafel and the tabbouleh they are so fresh! To top it off, their lemonade is the most refreshing drink I’ve had in a long time. (Like my tropical country panama🥰 we love lemon drinks)
Btw..In our faith, we are taught that 'The best of people are those who are most beneficial to others', and the service here truly reflects that spirit. This isn't just a meal..it’s a blessing for the soul.
May Allah (SWT) grant this business much barakah and prosperity. May you all be blessed with health and happiness. Gracias!

We went for dinner and ordered the mixed grill for two. The portions were generous, the meat was tender, and the chicken was juicy. Kebabs were excellent, and everything was cooked perfectly. Service was very quick, and the bread was freshly baked. The price was reasonable for two. We’ll definitely be back! Our server ali went above and beyond thank you

Hands down, the best and most authentic Middle Eastern food around! Will gladly drive 45 mins for a meal from here. Everything is so flavorful and fresh. Service is always amazing when we go, even when it’s packed. There’s a reason reviews are high and wait times are long. These guys know what they’re doing and they do it so well! Honestly, this is easily the best Palestinian/Lebanese restaurant in NJ.

Great Palestinian restaurant! Dress conservatively.

Visiting from ATL. We got the Mix Mashawi for 6 people, fried cauliflower, and the falafel platter with extra falafel on the side. Food was very light and clean. Atmosphere was impeccable. Service AMAZING. They have so many servers you hardly need anything before they're already there.

Servings size is great. We had a lot of food leftover, enough for all of us to eat a good plate the next day for leftovers.

Families come here much like when I was a kid to eat good solid food at a reasonable price. I highly recommend the soujuk for its tart meatiness and the arayes for its sour note on a good bread. The pita is warm and fluffy too. From the mezze the labneh is good and the red pepper paste is extra delicious. I also like the Arabic salad.

The meats are decent. I would say the kofta is a bit dry as is the beef shish. The chicken is moist though.

The mint lemonade is great but the acid means you should drink slow.

The service is excellent and you really feel the welcoming joy of making people full of food. The place has a good soul and either good enough food or in some cases great food.

We were really looking forward to trying Al-Basha and it definitely lived up to the anticipation. We had to wait about 15 minutes for a table, but it was worth it. As soon as we were seated, they welcomed us with some warm pita bread and pickled vegetables.

For drinks, we ordered a mint lemonade that was absolutely delicious. As an appetizer, we tried the cheese borek, which, to be honest, was a bit too plain for my taste. But the highlight was the mixed mashawi platter we shared. It came with filet mignon, chicken, kofta kebab, and shawarma. The portion was perfect for two people—very tasty, well-seasoned, and cooked just right. It also came with rice and salad, and we even had a little left over.

For dessert, we enjoyed a pot of mint tea along with a baklava . Parking is on the street, but overall, the service was very friendly and the prices were reasonable for the quality. Definitely recommended

My family had an amazing experience at Al-Basha. We only waited about 15mins to be seated(3 people). Service was well trained and manner. All of our food came out fast.

We only got the hummus as our appetizer and it was amazing. With the bread and salad it’s really refreshing. You can taste the quality of the dish!

Definitely have to get the Mix Mashawi. All of the meat(beef) is well seasoned and juicy. The chicken could be seasoned more but still good and juicy.

Highly recommend the beverages(mint tea and mango sparkling).

I would definitely come back!!!
