This was a great lunch spot to have business meeting drinks and food. Delicious and very accommodating. Amazing Tequila selection that is nearly unrivaled.

I had a vibrant and flavorful dinner at Añejo in Hell’s Kitchen last weekend. This stylish Mexican restaurant has a lively, modern atmosphere with warm lighting, exposed brick, and a fun energy that makes it perfect for a night out near the Theater District.
I started with the tableside guacamole, which was fresh and perfectly seasoned with just the right kick. For my main, the short rib tacos were outstanding — tender, rich, and packed with flavor on soft corn tortillas. The spicy margarita was one of the best I’ve had in NYC, and the chips with salsa were addictive. Service was friendly, energetic, and attentive.
It’s a great spot for elevated Mexican food that still feels fun and approachable. Highly recommend Añejo for a tasty meal with strong cocktails. Five stars.
Helpful tips: Make a reservation in advance, especially on weekends as it gets busy. The tableside guacamole is worth ordering. Try the tacos or enchiladas for great value. Portions are generous, so sharing works well. It’s conveniently located on 9th Avenue, ideal before or after a Broadway show. Happy hour is a solid deal for drinks and snacks.

We had such a great night!!! Justin was incredible. He taught us to much about tequila, how to look for the what’s good / what to pass on. We found our new favorite tequila to replace our go to. HIGHLY recommend.

Loved it! Fresh, quality food and a fun, quaint atmosphere. The wait staff was friendly and helpful and surprised me with birthday churros. They were knowledgeable about the menu and could answer any questions we had. Def recommend

We had such a wonderful meal here, and service was impeccable. Elizabeth, our server, was attentive and knowledgeable, while Juan, the manager, made our evening very memorable and introduced us to their most incredible Flan (highly recommended).

We came for an early dinner after a matinee show, and Añejo was the perfect choice—tucked away from the Times Square chaos but close enough to be convenient. The food was outstanding across the board. We started with the Pork Belly Tostadas, which were perfectly crispy with great balance of flavors. The Lamb Barbacoa Tacos were tender and beautifully seasoned, the Ribeye Fajitas were generous and cooked to perfection, and the Lomo de Cerdo was succulent with just the right accompaniments.

For dessert, the Churros were fresh and satisfying, but the real star was the Flan that Juan treated us to. Silky, perfectly caramelized, and one of the best we've had anywhere.

Beyond the food, what made the experience special was the genuine hospitality. Elizabeth was wonderful throughout our meal, and Juan's warmth and great recommendations made us feel truly welcome. This is exactly the kind of neighborhood gem you hope to find in New York - excellent food, warm service, and a comfortable atmosphere that lets you actually enjoy your meal and conversation.

Highly recommend for anyone looking for quality Mexican cuisine away from the tourist traps!

The vibe here is great and the shrimp tacos were very good. Margs are hit or miss on quality and my husband didn't love the enchiladas. It was packed on a Friday night so definitely make a reservation if you want a table.

First of all, I NEED to say that the service here is PERFECT. Me and my buddies were visiting New York City, and we ended up taking the wrong subway into Brooklyn, so we ended up being late to our reservation...by almost two hours. Even though we rescheduled our reservation almost 10 times (we'd push buck the reservation in 5-10 minute increments), the customer service was flawless, without a single hint of annoyance in the customer service spokesperson's voice. Furthermore, when we explained to the waiters that we were in a rush (because we were so late), they made sure our order was delivered quickly. So yeah, the service was perfect.

Second of all, the food is top notch. I got a 3 pc beef birria taco, and needless to say that it was the BEST taco I've ever had. The meat was extremely tender and well seasoned, and perfectly paired with the consomme. It was a little pricey, but worth every single penny.

Third of all, the ambience of the place is SPECTACULAR. Absolutely perfect for a date. Anyways, I'd definitely recommend this spot!

Love this spot for weekend brunch!
The food is consistently delicious and the staff is incredible friendly and attentive. It’s definitely a great place to enjoy a meal.
On the weekends they offer a brunch special with all-you-can drink for $29 over 90 minutes, plus the cost of food.
Highly recommended trying the crispy cauliflower tacos, French toast and tacos al pastor. They are all must haves!

Great Mexican fusion restaurant. The ribeye steak fajitas was very well cooked and seasoned. Food was delivered pretty fast. Their pork belly will recommend. Didn't have any reservations thru open table however I saw the restaurant empty and allow us to seat right away on the street table

Añejo NYC is one of my absolute favorite spots in the city. The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, the service is outstanding, and the food is incredible. The tacos are full of flavor, the guacamole is fresh and delicious, and the margaritas are some of the best I have ever had. Everything came out quickly, and the staff made sure we were taken care of the entire time. Whether you are here for brunch, dinner, or just drinks with friends, you are guaranteed to have a great time. I cannot wait to come back!

The best Mexican food I've ever had. Everything we tried was out of this world. It's a place that wouldn't be what it is if it wasn't for all the noise the guests make. The servers were great; she made sure we were looked after despite it being very busy.

I recently visited a fantastic Mexican restaurant with a warm, inviting atmosphere and excellent service. The staff was attentive and friendly, which really enhanced the experience. I particularly loved the cauliflower taco—flavorful and perfectly seasoned. The shrimp empanadas were another standout, crispy on the outside and deliciously tender inside. However, the octopus was a bit too tough to chew, which was disappointing compared to the other dishes. On the plus side, they have a great happy hour menu with great deals. Overall, it was a lovely dining experience, and I’d definitely return!

Good spot to grab some Mexican food. The location, the staff, and price are just perfect. We went by with the family and had a great time. I’ll give this place another shot because of the staff and service! They were amazing.

The food was a bit shy of what I expected but the drinks were amazing. Both ceviche were lacking the kick but that’s the first time I’ve had ceviche from a Mexican spot so maybe that’s how they do it. Keep up the good work guys!

I love how cozy the venue feels, you can identify where you are just by the design.

An upscale Mexican dining experience, the food never disappoints— the dishes are always prepared to the utmost perfection— Rice and beans so elegantly served, the tacos are so hard to choose from b/c they are all delicious— and the salad is truly fresh, delectable, and a generous serving size.
Get three tacos for the best deal— and if you are free between 12-4, the lunch specials come with rice and beans and chips and salsa— which oh!! Btw, the salsa selection a true delight for any palate. You will again find it difficult to choose. They also have a great happy hour menu if you don’t mind sitting at the bar— all the selections at great prices!! This is the best place for a pleasant and delicious dining experience— in a bustling neighborhood in Hell’s Kitchen!!
