Nice restaurant for some drinks and dinner. Apps were good, everyone's dinners looked good. The t-bone wasn't the best quality and was tough. Otherwise was enjoyable.

This place is amazing! Today was my 1st time here since the pandemic & the food is still delicious as usual! You have to get the white sangria but you may drink the whole pitcher! Anything on the menu is delicious & you won't be disappointed at all! We will return again but we won't wait 6 years next time! My wife, my mother & my daughter love this place! The staff is very friendly also!

We were looking for something casual to eat before our concert and came across this restaurant. We loved the food, the service, the ambiance, everything was great all around. If you are ever in the area, do yourself a favor and definitely stop by this restaurant. You won’t regret it.

Such a great restaurant! The price is definitely worth it for the amount of food that you get, and for how great it tastes!<br>10/10 experience with the food, service, and atmosphere<br>It has a little fireplace that i thought was the coziest feeling on a gloomy day!

Just had dinner at Adega tonight. It was as expected such a pleasant experience. The service was outstanding, so the food and the ambience. We had a longer dinner as enjoying time and also doing some business. The costela al bafo (short ribs) was amazing. Some great Doro wine suggested to us as well.

Came here for Valentine’s Day and loved it! The hostess at the front desk was dealing with a lot of people as they were backed up due to the holiday but she was very apologetic and handled a hectic situation well. Our server was amazing, took his time with us and gave advice on what to order. The king salmon portion was a good size and was cooked to perfection. The calamari in the pineapple appetizer was amazing as well. Overall high quality, elegant atmosphere, and lovely staff.

Excellent place for some traditional Portuguese cuisine. There’s plenty of seating in a well-decorated dining room. Service was good. We went with a large party (9 people) and the food took a bit to arrive - but it was great. Special shoutout to the codfish made in a Portuguese style.

The food was amazing. I first ordered the clams with garlic and cilantro. I can definitely say the sauce had a delightful tang to it that went splendid with the clams. I wanted 1 lobster tail with potatoes and scallops so it was definitely kinda a throw off when I was given two lobster tails with rice, potato chips and mixed vegetables with my scallops and potatoes on a different plate. Sadly I will have to say that for my first experience there it was m upsetting to find a hair in my rice. Definitely ruined my appetite but also had to pay for the misc items that I did not even eat. I honestly just wanted to leave but I waited there for about 30 minutes without a single person coming to talk to me about the situation then all of a sudden im just given the bill. Im a bit upset on how it ended and I wish they told me what I was really getting but other then that the food was beautifully made. Well done to the chef.

Very fancy restaurant. There is dress code required. The restaurant is much bigger than it seems on the outside. The food was very good. Fresh vegetables and the meat is cooked to perfection. Portions are reasonably sized and the servers are very professional.

I was in town and was told Ferry Street had the best selection of food in the Ironbound area of Newark. My friends and I chose outdoor seating. I had the Parmesan chicken. It was delicious. My companions had stuffed lobster, and steak. The sangria’s are a must. Jose was our server. He was patient and very attentive. Please stop in if you’re in Newark.

I have been to this restaurant many years earlier and it was always great. I was stuck in Newark because my flight was canceled, so I decided to see if it was still good. Wow! The service was excellent as always. My filet Mignon wrapped in bacon was amazing! The mushrooms delicious. What a great experience. The manager came by and checked on the experience. Definitely recommend!

We had our 40th Reunion for high school i.e. Saint Benedict's Preparatory School in Newark, New Jersey. Adega Grill was selected by the alumni advisory and event planning board. Adega Grill is a good local and non-chain restaurant located in the extremely busy Iron Bound section of Newark. Adega Grill is an upscale, casual and cozy authentic Portuguese and Spanish Restaurant with great food and drinks. They have a menu that boast fresh meats and seafood dishes with something for everyone. You can have a delicious and fresh meal coupled with warm, friendly, and very attentive customer service. The establishment is a really popular place with the locals and it is definitely a "Refreshing Change from the Chains!" It can get very busy in there so arrive early and you won't be disappointed.<br><br>Upon entering, I was immediately greeted by two hosts whom directed me upstairs where the private affair was occurring. Both of the event hosts were very friendly, pleasant, professional, and had a genuine smile. It was a Friday around 06:00 PM and I was immediately offered White or Red Sangria which was included with our dinner buffet. There was an open cash bar were you could order whatever you desired. The tables and seating was comfortable and very organized. The facility has a fireplace, unique restroom accommodations, and a unique rooftop setting.<br><br>All of the team members at Adega Grill smiled and were very welcoming. Everything was absolutely delicious, kept hot, and the various buffet items were prepared and cooked to perfection. All of the meat and others items were very tasty and not salty as many Portuguese operated business products can be. For dessert, we had our choice of flan or cheesecake and I selected cheesecake with coffee. All of the servers very attentive, friendly, efficient, and happy to help! In short, the great food and awesome customer service made for an awesome group dinning experience! I will definitely be returning to bring my wife for dinner when we are in the Newark, New Jersey area to try some of their other appetizers, entrees, specials, and dessert.

This place was great. The food was delicious, even though the presentation could’ve been better.<br>The service was phenomenal and there was a great vibe.

Attended a function and we liked the fact ADEGA had a private parking within walking distance to restaurant. We noticed they had sidewalk dining facing Ferry Street. A nice feature but, too busy for it to be romantic with traffic congestion and pedestrians crowding the street. No patrons took advantage of this offering. The restaurant has a few floors with rooftop, and party rooms on the 2nd floor. Nice decor with a full service bar. The banquet room was painted black which was strange for a joyous party. Service was slow and strange. Appetizers can at different times and one appetizer completely was missed and later showed up as an after thought. The appetizers were average. As for beverages. They place one bottle of wine, pitcher of sangria and soda for a table of 10. We had to request a bottle after emptying one bottle. Entrees were mediocre and steak was over cooked. Service was spotty. The bartender was the best part of the entire event.
