Incredible food and service, but be prepared for the bill!

I visited abcV a while back, and the food has honestly stuck with me. As a plant-forward dining experience, the culinary creativity here is next-level. The food was absolutely awesome, and the service was great too—attentive, professional, and seamless throughout the night.

We tried a variety of plates, and these specific dishes really stood out:
California Dates: A standout starter featuring sweet dates paired beautifully with whipped coconut yogurt, tahini, lemon, a sprinkle of crunchy sea salt, pistachios, mint, and Sicilian olive oil.

Heirloom Beet Carpaccio: This vibrant, thinly sliced dish was prepared carpaccio/tartare-style and perfectly balanced with avocado purée, citrus notes, and a touch of chili aioli.

Beluga Lentils: Deeply savory black lentils sautéed in black vinegar and aromatic chili oil, accompanied by lemon-braised yams and broccoli.

Mushroom Wontons: Incredible, delicate dumplings served in a light, flavorful broth with a perfect hint of pecan chili crunch.

Flourless Chocolate Cake: A decadent, rich dark chocolate dessert that was the perfect sweet finish to the meal, complemented by a bright seasonal citrus compote.

The restaurant itself is very chic and fancy, making it a great spot for a special occasion or a stylish night out.

The only real catch is the price. While the taste is undeniably good, the portion-to-cost ratio makes you question if it's truly worth the premium price tag since the small sharing plates add up incredibly fast.

Overall, come here for the fantastic food and great vibes, but definitely expect a splurge.

I love everything about this place. The dosas are delicious, the Almond Flour pancakes, the dates. I've never had a bad menu item. It's pricey but you can't make a mistake in ordering. You could spend a small fortune just on the drinks--cocktails, mocktails, teas, ciders, and other creative brews. It's worth every penny. And the interior drew me in like a magnet the first time I passed it on the street. "We must go here. Right now."
went for new year’s eve and was sooo disappointed; the pre-fixe menu as soooo disappointing. same flavors and ingredients one course after another and zero attention to visual appeal: we eat with our eyes first ! loved my experience at Jean-George’s so was left deflated.
I thoroughly enjoyed everything about abcV. Inviting bright space with multiple seating options, bar, counter, window or table. Service was friendly and attentive. I had a 1:30 pm lunch reservation so not very crowded. Started with the green salad, this is the only item I have a slightly negative take on. Greens were fresh, lightly dressed and delicious, but served in a small bowl and left in larger pieces which made a beautiful presentation but rather hard to cut and eat. Next was the bolognese which is as delicious as every other review has stated. A smaller portion but so hearty with perfectly cooked pasta. I will be back again for this. Finished with the cookie plate. Again a wow the entire plate was spectacular. Served warm and chewy. I only took a bite or two of each but by the next day they were all gone. Still delicious cold and a day later. While the bolognese is a smaller portion this desert can easily satisfy 3 people. Tea choices also nice. Can’t say enough good things about this experience. Highly recommend.
For a moment forget the meat.

Great place for carnivores and vegans alike.

A rabbit hole of flavors to delight your palate for a night.

Manhattan priced but the service is exceptional and the food excellent.

If you are vegetarian or vegan and here to visit and want a special night out with the loved ones or live here locally for a special occasion. This is a must try for NYC’s fine dining experiences. (without feeling guilty looking at a meat menu). And if even if this isn’t your game and you’re a guest invited…..

Just try Its still damn tasty! 😋 and it’s a proper NYC Dining Experience.
It was a nice tasting experience ;

~ Market Beets
~ Beluga Lentils
~ Dosa

Dishes complemented each other, all together well & the dessert was a nice gesture.

Enjoyed it all,

Shri Ganesh 🙏
Surpassingly for me I really enjoyed this vegan dishes. My vegan friends invited me here and it was absolutely delicious!! Service attentive and not annoying.
We tried the Pre Fix menu and the course meal allowed us to try a little bit of all the flavors that the restaurant offered. We enjoyed every course. Peas hummus and butternut soup were a great start to the exciting vegetarian journey. All the three chutney that accompanied the dosa were perfect compliments and we polished it all. Yam was perfectly seasoned and tye dessert can't get any better. This is a must visit place for anyone who enjoys good vegetarian food.
We had a reservation for 7pm and were a party of 4. The service at the restaurant was great. We were served by Devi and Emily, both very jovial girlies xx

Now, speaking about the food, we ordered 13 dishes and 4 drinks. The alcoholic drinks were fab, but the non-alcoholic mocktails were not tasty at all. All three non alcoholic drinks tasted like fruity water.

Food however, was amazing! I’m attaching photos of each dish we ate, but basically all the dishes were rich in flavor, had good presentation, and ALL VEGGIE!

Portion sizes were from small to medium, but that’s something you expect at such restaurants. So, not complaining here at all!

Overall, a four out of five for the restaurant.
Food and decor were fantastic, the table service was neither friendly, nor helpful (hopefully an isolated issue). But it is worth going, the food was really good (we r not vegetarians). Note, some entres are small, others are huge be sure to ask your server. We shared a number of dishes.
It came recommended by a friend- and then i went twice in 3 days… incredible menu, unpretentious food and so very flavourful. I had to go back to get more of the menu, and now, to go yet another time might be pushing it as there’s so much more to experience.
As an Indian Restauranteur and vegetarian , im always curious to see what chefs do with a) vegetables and b) Indian dishes, like the dosa for eg, here at abcV- i was just blown away by the subtlety of the chutneys, without losing the punch.
Came here for a group dinner and we all had the new, seasonal tasting menu (Fall 2025). From start to end, every dish we had was unique, flavorful and delicious. The cuisines reminiscent of refined East and South Asian cuisines with a modern sensibility.

A few surprises here and there throughout the meal, and by the end we were more full than we expected to be. Over the first few courses included three kinds of bread: focaccia, pita, and dosa - perhaps one too many? With all the dips, spreads, and chutneys I could see why (maybe better if one was pre-portioned).

Cocktails were great and the service was impeccable. Overall the price is a bit steep, but aligns with the quantity and quality. Go hungry.

Favorite flavors of the meal include the amuse bouche, honey nut dip, chickpea spread, sambal and chutneys, shiitake and matsutake, and the incredible dessert!

Recommended.
We came for a friend’s birthday, and it was my first time trying a vegetarian meal. I was a bit skeptical at first, but the dishes were really good and flavorful. I had the Limoncello, which was delicious. Just a heads-up, the portions aren’t very filling, so come accordingly. The staff were sweet, although one of the servers kept asking if we’d decided on drinks. Other than that, it was an enjoyable experience. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful.
I was really excited to try this place. The interior is bright, cheerful, and inviting. It definitely has the kind of atmosphere that makes you want to sit down and enjoy a meal. That said, I did feel it was a bit overpriced. The drink I ordered was delicious, but the portion was surprisingly small for the price. I felt similarly about the food. It tasted good, but nothing stood out as exceptional given the cost and portion size.

Still, I think it’s worth checking out, and I’d be open to going back to try a few more items. Maybe we didn't pick the right thing and need to go back outside of brunch.
Beautiful vegetarian restaurant with many vegan options.
This may be my favourite restaurant of all time. The menu items were fresh, delicious and inventive.
Our favourites were the avocado lettuce cups (not pictured) and the cauliflower but everything was excellent.
The staff were friendly, kind and helpful with recommendations. They were also welcoming to children.
This restaurant is a must!
