Truly my favorite restaurant. We often order online, but finally were able to visit in person to sit down for a meal. They actually welcomed our toddler instead of just putting up with her. The food tastes like recipes a family has been making the same way for generations. Warm, generous, unfussy yet refined. The desserts are all too good to choose a favorite. Each one is my favorite, until the next one arrives.

Picked up from here several times-feels like a real family-run spot. Food is great (the lamb chop platter especially), and the service is extremely friendly. They even brought my fiancé and me tea while we waited. All smiles, great atmosphere.
Great place, traditional food, their service was excellent and very friendly. Shout-out to Kazim and Barna who take care of us and advised us with the best dishes.
I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Aba Turkish Restaurant. Everything was simply perfect—from the food to the atmosphere and the overall hospitality. As a Turkish guest, it truly felt like we were back in Turkey without even having to travel there.
A special thank you to Rukiye for creating such an authentic and welcoming place. And we were especially impressed by Müge’s service—she was incredibly kind, attentive, and professional throughout our visit.
Highly recommended for anyone looking for a genuine Turkish dining experience!
Came here for lunch with friend and wow, this place is now on my regular list lol
Right by Central Park
The Mezze Platter is the move. Hummus, Ezme, Patlıcan Salatası, Haydari, Fava, all served with warm Pide bread. We were fighting over the last bites lol. 每一口都有惊喜。
I had the Lamb Shank and it literally fell off the bone. The broth soaked into the rice was so good. Honestly reminded me of my mom’s 红烧 braise. 入口即化。
We also got the Chicken Sauté, super tender and flavorful, great to share alongside everything else.
But the Künefe stole the show. They cut it tableside, the cheese pull was insane, crispy on top with pistachios. Best Turkish dessert I’ve had in NYC, no exaggeration. 拉丝绝了!We had it with Çay in those cute little tulip glasses. fair prices, super friendly staff. As a Chinese New Yorker who eats everywhere, this is the real deal. 强烈推荐!
Aba Turkish Restaurant has a warm, cozy vibe and offers a delicious taste of Turkish cuisine. I ordered Adana , and they were absolutely delicious. I liked their appetizers as well. I can recommend
The food was not only delicious but also plentiful. Kazım bey had great suggestions and was a delight to talk to. He seated us immediately and checked on us often. I enjoyed the dinner special with the eggplant with tomato sauce as an appetizer. Then I had lamb Adana which came with a mini salad, rice, and the kebab. For dessert I got the rice pudding. All for about $30 is a steak! My hubby had the lentil soup and Ali nazik which was so savory and well balanced. My little one loved the pita and Manti.
What an amazing experience! We came here to celebrate my mom’s bday and wowwwww exceptional. We got the tabbouleh, Turkish dumpling, wheat bulgar, chicken chops, Turkish meatball, Aba meat sampler, and doner kebab. For dessert we got Turkish tea and their almond pudding and rice pudding. I would definitely recommend anyone to come here if you’re around the area. Also, the price on the food is great for the city.
I Love this place, i don’t live in NY anymore but i keep coming here when visiting NY, great food, great service! I am sorry I am not posting pictures but the food was so good that I forgot to take the pictures! Next time
Love the laidback, cozy interior. The food and service is always great. Recommend the lamb adana and lamb chops. Top off with some Turkish tea
Response from the owner
Thank you for the kind words! We’re so glad you enjoyed the Lamb Adana and our Lamb chops. Tea is a definite must when eating Turkish food. We’ll be sure to share your feedback with our entire team! Hope to see you again soon.
The food was absolutely delicious! The kebabs, chicken, and sides were all fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. It’s really hard to find a place that represents Turkish cuisine this well. We enjoyed everything we ordered.

Just a small note: they forgot to include forks and spoons in the order. Other than that, everything was perfect. Still highly recommended and we’ll definitely order again! 👌🇹🇷
Cute place. Pretty simple but fresh and delicious food. Friday night wasn't crowded.
I enjoy good Mediterranean food so I would definetly come back here to try more of their menu!
Aba is hands down one of the best Turkish restaurants in NYC. Their free BYOB policy is such a rare gem in the city and makes dining here even more enjoyable. We started with the cold appetizer plate, which was fresh, flavorful, and perfect for sharing. The grilled meats are the star of the menu especially the lamb adana kebab, which was juicy, tender, and perfectly seasoned. The shepherd salad was crisp and refreshing, a great balance to the rich flavors of the grill. And to finish, the baklava was absolutely delicious flaky, nutty, and just the right amount of sweet.

The service is warm, the atmosphere is welcoming, and every dish feels made with care. With the combination of incredible food and the BYOB perk, Aba is a true hidden gem I’ll be coming back to again and again.
Really enjoyed my experience at ABA! Nice outdoors patio, wide range of authentic Turkish good and fast service. I got lentil soup, spinach borek, lamb Adana kebab, rice pudding and ended up taking a half home because it was so much! Definitely coming back!
We happen to be in the area and came across this restaurant, I knew you could never go wrong with Turkish food, they would always have my cravings satisfied regarding chicken kebab, having to be born and raised in an Arab country. As always, I know Turkish food would always taste the best, and this restaurant is giviiiiiiiiiiiiing that vibes! A definitely a must to try and in a good neighborhood if it gets crowded while waiting for your reservation. Servers were really nice and they had given us complimentary Baklava. Also we did try the Dinner Special. That roasted eggplant with tomato is a killer! That didn’t stand a chance with the free bread they offered! The tea with Baklava too shouldn’t be missed! Will definitely come back 😍
