A little piece of new orleans right here in Manhattan. We had a boozy and bluesy lunch. Food, music, and service were great. Crawfish benedict was a yummy treat. Chicken and waffle was also good since the waffle was liege style. The restaurant is very pretty, the bathrooms are clean. My out of town guests were pleased with my choice.

Kevin is hands down one of the best bartenders I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. My fiance & I bar hop regularly, From the moment I sat down, his energy, professionalism, and genuine hospitality stood out. He has that rare ability to make everyone feel welcome while still running a smooth, efficient bar.

His drink recommendations were absolutely on point, every suggestion felt tailored and thoughtfully chosen, and each one delivered perfectly. You can tell he really knows his craft and takes pride in what he does.

Beyond the drinks, Kevin’s personality truly makes the experience. Friendly, attentive, and effortlessly engaging, he elevates the entire atmosphere. If you’re lucky enough to have Kevin behind the bar, you’re in for a great time. Highly recommend!

I had such a lovely time at their jazz brunch. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious and full of flavor. The cocktail pitchers were a great touch and perfect for sharing at the table. The live music created a pleasant vibe and felt like a nice extra to the whole experience. It was easy to enjoy conversations without the music overpowering the space, which made the brunch even more enjoyable. Definitely a five star experience for me.

Response from the owner

Thanks for joining us, Betty! We appreciate the review and are happy to know you enjoyed.

Great Creole restaurant with an awesome vibe!

Came here on a weeknight. I made sure to make reservations ahead of time, since the restaurant tends to be busy. The place was crowded, but we got a table on the second floor right away.

For appetizers, we ordered the Honey Chili Brussels Sprouts and the Cajun Shrimp Skewers. Both were delicious with a ton of flavor. 5/5 for appetizers.

For my entree, I had the Cornmeal-crusted Black Sea Bass. It was also really good. The fish was seared perfectly, the vegetables and lemon butter sauce combined with it perfectly. 4.5/5 for entree.

For dessert, we shared the Hummingbird cake. I enjoyed the cake filling, which was coffee flavor, more than the rest of the cake. 4/5 for dessert. I think next time I might order the Beignets or Bread Pudding.

The atmosphere gets a 5/5 for me. And the service was very good. I think this is a great restaurant to experience the New Orleans vibe without leaving NYC.

Response from the owner

Thank you for leaving all your notes, Rashid! We hope to have you back soon.

What up, y’all! I’m back again with another date night review ✨this time for 1803 NYC; a Cajun restaurant located in Tribeca. First off, I love the aesthetic of the place. Decorated with floral elements and fluer de lis fencing, it’s like a small burst of NOLA in NYC. They also sometimes have a band playing live jazz 🎺 Since Babe and I have been exploring all of the raw oyster options we can, I HAD to put him on to the charbroiled version! 1803 NYC does an amazing job with them too; buttery with the perfect amount of spice, they’re definitely a 10/10. We also got some raw oysters, of course. Those were delicious too 🦪 We then got the Brussels sprouts and the sea bass. The Brussel Sprouts were cooked to perfection with a crunchy outer texture and a pillowy inside. And the chilli sauce it comes in? Absolutely BAGING! 🌱As for the sea bass 🐟I wasn’t expecting it to come fried (though I don’t know what I expected after reading cornmeal crusted but ya live and learn right 😭). Either way, the fish was super meaty and well cooked. I also loved the lemon butter caper sauce it came with. Though I personally wasn’t a big fan of the frying mixture used and think the fish would be better served grilled, I enjoyed my overall dining experience✨ Def recommend this spot for a date night or an after work drink 🍸 SN: I LOVE the sauces that come on the table. The Fresno chilli has a vibrant kick while the green sauce was a bit more mellow but packed with flavor. 🌶️

I also wanted to give a quick shoutout to our server, Bridgette! She was super sweet and not only accommodating but also ingenious. When I wanted a refill of my glass, she left me with my original glass and returned with a carafe. I just thought that was so smart (though I’m sure for her it was a no brainer 😂)

This spot is just ok. The tacos was basic and so was the nachos. The short ribs ragu wasn't flavored the way I'm used to short ribs being flavor differently. The host was amazing and so was our waiter.

The service was great! Everyone was friendly, from our server to the food runners.

The food was overall good.

The charbroiled oysters were delicious, and the Brussels sprouts could have been cooked a little longer, but they tasted great.

For our mains, the sauce on the Branzino made it a bit soggy, and the short rib Ragú pasta could have been a bit more al dente.

Sorry for the very opinionated review, but it’s with good intentions.

Response from the owner

Roberto,

It’s great to know our team left a positive impression, and your feedback on the dishes truly helps us grow.

With appreciation, 1803 NYC

Perfect brunch experience!! The food was delicious. The live music excellent. Atmosphere was inviting and fun.

The bread pudding was the best thing I ate in a long time. Incredible mixture of chocolate, caramel ice cream and of course bread pudding. Highly recommend!

I'll get straight to the point. We went with a large group. We ordered the gumbo, the jambalaya, the burger, the French toast, The oysters and even a salad. I cannot tell you one thing that I didn't like. It was all amazing. My favorite was the gumbo and the oysters and the employees there were all really nice. I can't wait to go back again. I definitely want to try the shrimp Po boy.

Response from the owner

Hearing that your group enjoyed both the food and the warm welcome from our team is the kind of feedback that makes what we do so rewarding. We’re already looking forward to your next visit and hope your experience with that shrimp Po boy is just as fantastic.

Thanks again, from everyone at 1803 NYC

Great atmosphere in and outside. Reasonable prices. Service very friendly and fun. Escargot delicious. Shrimp plump and juicy with a great sauce. Paella a bit dry so they brought out a very tasty sauce to liven it up. The ribs appetizer was the standout falling off the bone.

Response from the owner

Brad,

We’re delighted you enjoyed both the warm vibe and the standout flavors during your visit.

Cheers from all of us at 1803 NYC

1803 was southern comfort, LGBTQ pride, excellent service, and great cuisine rolled up in one. We were pleasantly surprised. We were warmly greeted and taken to our tables immediately. The ambiance is a rustic, welcoming almost homely vibe. None of the unnecessary flair that you find at other restaurants looking to trend. We were greeted by a handsome young man named Calvin who was very mannerly and attentive. He took our orders and answered questions. The food was brought out hot and in a reasonable amount of time. The food was delicious and there had not a single empty plate at the table when we finished. The was a jazz band playing light music that was very soothing as it was not loud music-just mellow and smooth. Even staff who weren’t waiting on us conversed with us casually- not pretentious or over the top. The mood was so light the we didn’t want to get up but staying longer without ordering more would have been rude. If I am around the area I would definitely go back and I would say try 1903 and bring a friend or two. Only downside is that the menu is not extensive, but I guess that’s what makes them master the menu options to customers delight.

Response from the owner

Thank you for your wonderful feedback. We're thrilled you enjoyed our warm hospitality, delicious cuisine, and the soothing jazz music. We appreciate your comments on our menu and continue to strive for excellence. Looking forward to your next visit. Sincerely, 1803 NYC.

My friend and I had a reservation at 1803 NYC at 5:30 on a Monday evening. I read some reviews about the restaurant being very loud, but if you go around this time, it is not that crowded. Interior-wise, there is a small discrepancy between the upscale vibe their decor gives and the appearance of the floors, walls, and bathrooms.

We split charbroiled oysters ($23), my friend got the jambalaya ($29), and I got the Louisiana pulled pork sandwich ($20). The oysters had a wonderful sauce that tasted like a zesty tomato base. My friend enjoyed the jambalaya and noted it had great flavor. The pork in the sandwich was tender and cooked well. However, I do like some type of smoke or bbq flavor in my pulled pork, and this fell flat in that regard. The fries were cooked perfectly, so they had a nice crisp.

Service was good! We had multiple check backs and quick service. Overall, I felt like the restaurant had great flavors at appropriate dinner prices. I would recommend checking it out if you're in the area, though it is not a restaurant I would go out of my way to return to.

Response from the owner

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughtful review. We're glad you enjoyed our oysters and jambalaya. Your feedback about the pulled pork and decor is appreciated and will be considered. We hope to have the chance to impress you further in the future. Sincerely, 1803 NYC.
