Absolutely incredible experience. Every dish was amazing, from the beef hummus to the fish — everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly done. You can really taste the quality in every bite. The dessert knafeh was absolutely to die for and honestly worth coming back for on its own. On top of the food, the service was great throughout the entire meal. Highly recommend.

Response from the owner

Thank you so much! 🙏 We're so happy every dish hit the mark — from the beef hummus to the fish, we put a lot of care into every plate and it means the world to hear that. And the knafeh... we couldn't agree more! 😄 It's truly something special and we're so glad it left an impression. Hope to see you back very soon! 🌿

The 12 Chairs Lamburger was delicious. Very thick and juicy patty. Came with home fries that are best described as fresh cut potato chips lightly fried, not hard but chewy. I thought it was a nice touch. My friend got the chicken soup. For the price the portion was very hearty with big chunks of bone in chicken filing the bowl. The sparkling water was served with lemon wedges in the glasses. Didn’t ask so that was thoughtful.

Response from the owner

Thank you so much! 🙏 We're thrilled you enjoyed the Lamburger — that thick, juicy patty is definitely one of our favorites too! And we love that you appreciated the home fries, they're a little detail we're really proud of. Glad the chicken soup hit the spot as well — hearty and comforting, just the way it should be. Those small touches like the lemon wedges are our way of making sure every visit feels a little more special. Hope to see you and your friend back at 12 Chairs soon! 🍋

It was my first time visiting this Williamsburg location, and it was such a delightful experience. I especially loved the thoughtful touch of a single tulip at every table—it created such a warm and charming atmosphere, perfect for a relaxed brunch. Everything about the visit felt special. While it was a bit on the noisy side, the food was absolutely amazing and more than made up for it. Ella, our server, was fantastic—so knowledgeable and attentive. She really made us feel taken care of. I can’t wait to come back!

Response from the owner

Thank you so much! 🌷 We're so happy your first visit to our Williamsburg location felt special — that's exactly the experience we hope to create for everyone who walks through our doors. And we're glad you noticed the tulips, it's our little way of adding some warmth to the table. Can't wait to welcome you back for another brunch!

I was incredibly excited for shakshuka! The food was really delicious and had an abundance with the additional sides. The water glasses were really small and the volume of the music was way too loud for a breakfast meal. The staff was friendly but a little more aloof than most places.

The food here is amazing!! Everything is fresh -- best Israeli salad and orange juice ever. Totally recommend this for brunch or dinner... they have such a wide variety of items on the menu, so you'll find something you love!

Centrally situated in Williamsburg and a really cosy Israeli cafe with inside and outside patio seating (covered and heated). The food was very delicious and reasonably priced. We ordered 4 small plates - babaganoush, falafel in tahina sauce, Labneh and Matboucha (tomato and garlic with hot green peppers) which came with fluffy Pitta. Arayes was a lamb main. The staff were super hospitable and attentive. The main took long to come out but the staff more than made up for it by giving us a complimentary hummus and pitta and half off the main dish. Definitely recommend this place.

Nice interior, very tasty food, fast service but unfortunately the staff was just „doing the work that has to be done“. No warm welcome or at least a smile, nothing.

The club music at breakfast time is way too loud, which the staff certainly likes, but can't understand that it bothers the guests when they have to shout at each other to communicate.

All in all I don't understand the hype about that restaurant. The location in Manhattan is probably more ‚hygge‘.

Partly recommended.

Couldn't get a table at the SoHo location, so we made the trek from Manhattan to try 12 Chairs - and WOW, what a decision that turned out to be! This place absolutely exceeded every expectation.

We ordered the tabouli, beets salad, hummus with meat, arayes, and sea bream a la plancha, and every single dish was phenomenal. The tabouli was fresh and perfectly seasoned, the beets salad had incredible depth of flavor, and that hummus with meat was next level - rich, creamy, and satisfying. The arayes were crispy and flavorful, but the real star was the sea bream a la plancha - cooked to absolute perfection with a beautiful char and tender, flaky interior.

What I loved most is how healthy everything felt without sacrificing any flavor. You can tell they use quality ingredients and prepare everything with care. The flavors were vibrant, authentic, and incredibly satisfying.

The journey from Manhattan was 100% worth it - this is the kind of meal that reminds you why great food is worth traveling for. Can't wait to come back and try more of their menu. Highly, highly recommend to anyone looking for exceptional Mediterranean cuisine!

I didn't plan to have brunch at 12 Chairs but because the place I went, was too hype and ridiculous waiting time so I decided to walk around and I found this restaurant. I'm glad I eat here, I feel like I hit a jackpot. Food is great, nice cocktail, good service. I enjoy watching bartender making some interesting cocktails and the vibe of the restaurant is so welcoming. I saw that they have a section that can fit a big group so it is good for partying too.

Love coming here. The food is amazing and as a Jewish girl from Brooklyn with Israel being my second home - coming here reminds me of home. I love that they have Jachnun on Saturday’s and Sunday’s here - and inside pictures of places in Israel. Come for the food and stay for the atmosphere. Friends got the Pińo׳s burger and loved it - comes with sweet potato fries along with the Pelmani - they loved it. The salads here are all amazing. And finished the meal with some Knafah for a yummy sweet dessert.

I love the food here!! We always start with the hummus and pita, which is so good. The pita is warm and the hummus is fresh.

Many of us loved the arayes with lamb, and it was surprisingly super filling. Fish is also really good, but the chicken schnitzel is just alright, pretty standard.

It’s really easy to get a reservation here but note they do enforce time limits per table when it’s busy. It’s also pretty cramped loud inside - was kinda hard to hear the people sitting across from me over the music and the other tables 2 feet away from us.

Let me tell you - the way I still think about this restaurant after 2 months…I need to come back next time I’m in New York.

Such an unassuming restaurant but it’s the best Israeli food I’ve ever had. The small plates was THE way to go. The Labaneh was my favourite, but everything else followed a close second. The dishes felt so simple, but so amazing and packed with flavour and spices.

I need to come back to try everything else on the menu 😭😭😭

Two of us dined for $76 after tips.

Went to 12 Chairs Cafe for brunch and loved it! Great selection of traditional brunch items as well as more traditional Israeli dishes. The scene and vibe is lively and energetic - could be a little loud inside depending on the time/crowd - but if you're looking for a solid meal, you won't be disappointed.
