"I have a sweet tooth. Like, bad. So much so that i used to consume at least a block of chocolate to myself, a day! But with a little will power I've managed to train my taste buds to enjoy the simple, raw sweetness of fruit and now regular chocolate is way too sweet for me and makes me feel ill. I think sugar should always be consumed in moderation, even the natural stuff but i also believe that you should enjoy every minute of it when you are indulging. Because hey, when in France one must have a chocolate croissant for breakfast and a macaroon for afternoon tea! Even if it makes you feel terrible. That moment of pure indulgence is worth it in my books. I mainly use fruit sugar or dates in my desserts, occasionally a local raw honey or maple syrup and very occasionally coconut or brown sugar. Less is more when it comes to sugar so start with less and taste test along the way. You'll be surprised just how little you need to satisfy that craving..."
